The Best Cafes in Sutton, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

If you, like me, are tired of coffee chains in Cheam Village and want to try something more personal, then give Domestique a try. I stumbled accross this place needing a spot to eat and work for a while. Inside you'll find a lovely quiet spot with some good tunes, excellent food and superb coffee. I'm not a coffee snob but the coffee here is brilliant. Time was taken over this and the chap serving did not rush. You can tell that the coffee matters. I also had a lovely ham and bechemel cheese toastie which was just what I needed. This beats the local chains easily in terms of substance, style and vibe. Hands down the place to go in the village. Long may it continue!

Lovely coffee shop that's newly established on Cheam Broadway. My favourite is the Mocha. It is rich, full of flavour and delicious. The staff are very helpful and polite. The ambience is quirky and fun but very welcoming. It is a happy place. One suggestion: could you please offer a larger cup version for your coffees? A lot of customers love to have larger coffee cups - it keeps a good conversation going for longer!

Really beautiful interior, industrial chic! Love the chesterfield at the back. I'll be returning. Highly recommend!

The best coffee you’ll find anywhere, out of all the coffee i’ve ever tasted the signature blend was by far the best. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic interior design and wall sockets available in case you wanted to bring your laptop to do some work. The Irish cruffin paired perfectly with the latte. Staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend you try this place! way better than any other high street chain coffee shops!

We love the COFFEE CLUB!!!!!!! Our branch always order from these guys and their Hot Chocolates are the best around.... its so cute they always give us a complementary biscuts with our drinks :) The team are sooo kind and always chirpy. Defo recommend this place. Love Teeth Sutton !!!!!

they made the best mocha ever, never had i ever tasted delicious mocha like this (perfect balance between the coffee and chocolate) in London. encountered this shop by chance few months ago while i was in Sutton for seminar and now that im moving to london and my office will be nearby, best believe ill buy this everyday. The servers are always so nice as well!! ps> plus point is also because they sold vape in the store, and the vape i want is always in stock!

I would throughly recommend you take a visit to The Coffee Club they do the best coffee and have an excellent range of vapes!

Absolutely love this place! Community space with drinks, homemade cakes and snacks. Plants to explore and buy and 2 play areas for kids (outdoor and indoor). My kids are 3 and 6 and love it here. Would highly recommend

Wonderful hidden gem. Came for a workshop and went back home with several plants as well. A real community site with activities for everyone. Great tearoom, and an amazing atmosphere. Heartily recommended

I especially love it for children’s birthday parties – we’ve had two there, and both were absolutely fantastic. It’s such a peaceful and welcoming environment for families. On top of that, the variety of community events held here adds so much value to the space. It’s wonderful to have a spot that brings people together in such a relaxing and serene setting. Highly recommend!

Met my friend for a coffee and a bite to eat. As always the latte and cappuccino were delicious. My friend who had not been to Tazza coffee before, commented on how good the coffee was and that she would come again. I could not resist taking a slice of mouthwatering coffee cake, home for my partner. Will definitely be back as always enjoy the delicacies to choose from and the relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Lovely almond mocha and friendly service. A bit pricey, but worth it to support the independent spots.

I discovered the most lush crunchy nut syrup coated soft chewy slice that I returned especially for it, I'm officially hooked. Great little haunt, so chilled, my only wish that you were open on a Sunday! 💙

Have been in this little café before, staff were very polite and helpful, we had a couple of lattes and the cappuccino cake, very nice, and not packed like the other coffee shops, a steady flow of customers.

Lovely little cafe off of the high street. My parents came here when I was little and now I bring my kids here wouldn’t go to a different cafe. The bubble is to die for!!!!!

This is a great place for lunch at this cafe. The owner recommended the salmon salad plate. It was very delicious. A great recommendation. I came here for the first time last week having tried various cafes in the area. Really polite staff and lots of choice for food. I ordered with ease and the food came out really quickly and hot. Plenty of seating inside and out, and free parking opposite on Sundays. Would recommend and I’d come again.

Great live music venue. Staff are always super friendly. Food is delicious and cooked in their kitchen. There's a great range of drinks hot and cold. There is always a great welcoming vibe in the venue. There are vinyl sales at the Sound Lounge. The venue is centrally located.

London needs more venues like the Sound Lounge! The grass roots vibe is undeniable, the setting is balls-to-the-wall class, the bands are always great, great fun, the food and drink are delicious, and the value is ridiculously good! Sutton is very, very lucky to have them.

First time ever in Sutton, strolling the “strip”, this outfit, ‘The Sound Lounge’ effortlessly the stand-out enterprise A vegan restaurant, a bar, incorporating “Union Records” but primarily a live music venue: “roots music”+ its kissin’ cousins. ( Think, “The Green Note/Camden + supportive context ) Informal, relaxed with a palpable sense of dedication, grit and momentum. And authentic - and authentic we like and wouldn’t have it any other way. Unfortunately unable to attend a gig. Enthused staff, early afternoon. Albeit a short visit, the favourable impression motivated this review. I’ll be back and possibly so will you.

Best vegan roast in London hands down, very excited they’re back! Juicy marbles steak fillets are incredible!! Always love coming to the sound lounge, wonderful sense of community, all vegan food (all the menu items are amazing), great selection of vegan baked goods, great atmosphere and music of course - with loads of records!

Visited the great new tearoom formerly known as Tashas Tearoom in Cheam Village today . Was greeted with a lovely welcome from the new owner Sally and her husband Alan straight away . Lovely homely feel to the place . Plenty of tables to sit at. We ordered drinks which came very quickly from the owners son George , lovely lad who was very helpful. We then ordered the Tuna and cheese Panini which came with some crisps and a small salad garnish, well presented and very tasty , would highly recommend a visit to this cozy tearoom that will prove to be an asset to Cheam Village.

Hadn’t tried before, stopped in today after walking the dog in cheam park. We weren’t that hungry as had a cooked breakfast this morning , but stopped for a coffee and a cake. Such a delightful place, the people that run it are so kind and friendly. And the Victoria sponge was to die for. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back with a bigger appetite to try lunch with some friends. Give your money to a lovely local business not Starbucks. Thank you .

Afternoon tea was a delight and is now our go-to place whilst the grandparents watch the kids. We booked in for afternoon tea and was greeted with a really warm welcome and a singing chef, which also makes you feel very comfortable. Tea was superb and presented in a lovely China set. Sandwich selection was delicious. The cakes, well, just chefs kiss! Beautiful. Price point we were very impressed and left there with a little takeaway box. We are looking forward to returning to our next visit already.

Three of us had afternoon tea at Greenwood at the end of November, and we were very impressed. (We have been for many afternoon teas in many places over the years). To start, the sandwiches were perfect; fresh and moist bread -they'd been made for our arrival- and excellent fillings. The little bit of homemade coleslaw in the cheese added an extra flavour dimension, and the ham was particularly tasty. The scones were the chef/owner's seasonal novelty with a little mincemeat in rather than sultanas -delicious, and the two pieces of cake per diner were from the selection baked in the shop. I like real cake; too many afternoon teas rely on macarons and weird pots of chocolatey goo that you eat with a teaspoon. Here the banana cake was delicious! The only slight reservation was that all the food needs plenty of tea to wash it down, and the young man kept bringing only half a pot at a time (but he was new). Finally, the retro crockery was very pretty, and we had a nice chat with the owner. Overall, a delightful and good value experience; special!

A quaint, unassuming little place! You feel the like the food is served with warmth and affection . I would highly recommend the ‘Mad spicy prawns’ from their menu.

Been using this cafe bar for many years sometimes 3 times a day and I can honestly say it’s a really great place ! It has a 5 star food hygiene label ! The staff are helpful and cannot do enough to help you ! The food is continuously good quality and the menu is very large! Even the house wine is of very good quality ! Delicious breakfast/brunch place in the heart of Sutton. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors for the sunny days! The staff are very attentive and the service is quick. I would come here again if I was in the area.

Amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Ordering was really easy at the table with a qr code and the food came really quickly. My friend had the Lounge Eggs with Smoked Salmon which is her firm favourite and I had the Lounge Bacon Cheeseburger which is the best burger I have had in ages! I highly recommend Tiempo Lounge and can’t wait to go back

Gorgeous interior and relaxing music on a Sunday morning. Excellent options for coffee and gluten free. Customer service was wonderful!

I was there a few times and mainly for breakfast. I mean London is expensive as well as this restaurant but I have to say I really enjoyed it. It seems the personnel take their time to make you feel comfortable and ask about dietary restrictions and the service is great. By the way.. the food is f-ing delicious All in all I can recommend this place!
