⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic local shop. I needed a new security barrel and keys after the previous seized. They had exactly what I was looking for. The service was quick and I even got some useful advice to ease fitment of the new barrel. Highly recommended!

What a great service from Nick who came and fitted a new lock that was of a better quality and the right size for the door which my previous wasn't as it stuck out about 8mm inside, and was jamming and getting hard to open. He phoned 15 minutes before arriving. I needed 4 keys, the lock came with 3 so he took one away and was going to cut me another and drop it off the next day, however he dropped it back the same day when going back out to another call as he was passing. A++ Service and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a swift professional service.

I had two key blanks - supplied by parts agent for the car make - that required to be cut from original keys for a classic 1950’s car. After trying several locksmiths I was pointed in the direction of Paul at The Locksmiths shop in Cheam. On first visit he discovered I’d been supplied with the incorrect blanks and advised I contact the original supplier to receive the correct blanks. Three days later I returned with the correct blanks and Paul cut them within 10 minutes - both a perfect fit to the ignition and door locks. An outstanding service with Paul’s knowledge ensuring the first set of incorrect key blanks were not used, saving me his initial cost to cut them plus the cost of the incorrect key blanks. So pleased overall with their service I’ve made a further enquiry to replace some locks at our house.

I just bought a replacement window handle from this local shop. It was a little more expensive than the options I’d seen on Amazon, but I had a nice chat with the owners, who also showed me a cheaper Amazon-priced alternative in case I wanted it (I didn’t). Back home & after 60mins of failed DIY, frustration and self-flagellation, I called the shop & spent 10mins on the phone with Paul and he patiently tried to trouble-shoot my problem. No joy there, so he sent his colleague Martin over to my house to install the window handle… & realign the problematic mechanism in my window frame.. Long story short, there are many reasons to shop local, and my experience today at P J Harvey & Co. Ltd. in Morden embodies all of them. I look forward to shopping there again, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for their product expertise, service, community spirit & support.

I can absolutely see why there's the 5 star rating. We had a door which suddenly stopped locking (to be fair it had been stiff for some time). They were thorough covering multiple steps to resolve problems and absolutely went above and beyond. Issue resolved and the door feels way better than when it was installed. Very highly recommended.

What a brilliant shop. Went in with a 1980s Chubb 5 lever deadlock with a badly cut key that jammed rather than unlocking and came away with a rekeyed fully functioning lock with three new keys within about 20 minutes. Definitely recommend if you have a lock problem.

The owner went above and beyond, spending a lot of time researching to find the right key code (not sure of the technical term here!), for a very old and quite problematic key, so a challenge, but I now have a new copy and it works perfectly. Previously, I had already tried for 4 months to get this sorted with other key cutters with no luck, so I was very lucky to find this shop. Mentor Lock has been excellent. I have an elderly aunt who had lost the only key to a cupboard with the electricity/gas meters. Communication to set up a date to replace the lock was very quick. On the agreed day, Lee telephoned about 15-30 minutes before the arrival of the locksmith to make sure everything was still ok. Locksmith, Andy, arrived on time and completed the work really quickly. Payment over the phone was easy, with a receipt sent straight away by email. Lee and Andy were lovely. I would not hesitate to use them again.
