Delighted to add another 5* review for this attractive little coffee shop. My flat white and almond croissant were top notch, the pastry was nicely warmed through too. A friendly barista, quirky decor (check out the lights above the counter) and a convenient location - what’s not to like.

Had a coffee hangout with my colleagues so needed a place big enough to host us all. Alma went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable in the cosy basement. The coffee was great! And I loved my croissant! We had some treats on the house as well and everyone kept talking about how much they liked Bloomsbury Coffee! Will definitely visit again when I’m in the area! Thank you for such amazing service!

Small hidden gem is what I like to call this place, beautiful interior and offers seating with lovely cushioned seats and overall a very clean coffee shop. The hot chocolate is definitely one of the best I've had, it was surprisingly much better than I had imagined and loved every moment of it. The person who made me the coffee was sweet too and would definitely recommend this spot if you wanna relax.

A lovely little coffee shop tucked into a corner of a church. The garden they have was lovely even in the fall when everything was not in full bloom. The coffee was fantastic and definitely reminded me of sipping an espresso in Italy. Definitely worth the visit

I love this place! My partner and I went there for breakfast, and we were so impressed. I had the eggs, salmon, and hollandaise with avocado and bread – what a treat! The eggs were poached perfectly, the salmon was fresh and flavorful, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. The avocado added a lovely creaminess, and the bread was the perfect base for it all. My partner had a slice of their chocolate cake, which they said was incredibly decadent and moist. The cafe itself has a really nice atmosphere and the coffee is good

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Drury 188-189. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and a charming decor that instantly makes you feel at home. The charcuterie board was stunningly presented, featuring a delightful selection of cheeses, cured meats, fresh grapes, and nuts, perfectly paired with the creamy dips and olives. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients were evident in every bite. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring our experience was seamless from start to finish. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic date spot, this place is a hidden gem in London. I’ll definitely be coming back for the amazing food and great vibes!

Looking for good coffee? The guys at Drury get it. The coffee was fantastic, the scrambled eggs on toast were fab (get the British Bacon, thank me later!) and the coconut porridge was spectacular. Definitely worth a visit.

Drury 188-189 truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best cafés in London. Located in a central spot with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, it’s perfect for a quick bite, a full meal, or just to relax with a good coffee. The variety on the menu is impressive—from small bites to proper meals, including scones with jam, they have something for every craving. Food I tried the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, and both dishes were exceptional. The lattes were perfectly crafted, smooth and creamy, and the Coco Loco smoothie was a refreshing addition to the meal. The flavors were spot on, and the presentation made everything look even more inviting. Atmosphere & Service The atmosphere is both cozy and bustling, which adds to the charm. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home even if it gets busy. Just keep in mind it can get quite crowded, so be prepared for a short wait of around 15-20 minutes during peak times. But trust me, it’s worth every minute! Final Thoughts Whether you’re a local or just visiting London, Drury 188-189 is a must. With great food, a central location, and a warm vibe, it’s one of those places you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended!

Amazing service. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were quite a large group of 14 and had reserved a lot of seats but had delays - the staff were super understanding and offered to get us drinks, while we waited for the rest of our group. The food is delicious and portions are quite large. This is my second visit and I got the marinated chicken burger, which I highly recommend. The last time I visited I got the french delight from the brunch menu and it was so good. Will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu !

We need to visit UCL area and find this coffee bar outside Russell Square tube station. It offers some good selection of bakeries and sandwiches, and very good fresh brew coffee! Staff are very friendly and I like the energy! Strongly recommend!

This was a fun discovery coming out of the tube on the way to our hotel -- we knew we needed to try it and then just kept going back. It was delightful how quickly we became regulars -- the super-friendly baristas recognized and joked with us. (The cinnamon buns are so good!) I'm just sad we don't live there -- it would be great to be full-time regulars. Would recommend for a tasty hot beverage and a breakfast snack. (The weekend food options wane compared with the weekday feast -- but you can grab a coffee and pop into another spot for food if they're out of what you need.)

My husband and me are from Chicago, so we have REALLY REALLY high standards for what we consider “good” food and service and this place takes the cake. We came back after an amazing first experience. All of their ingredients are fresh, the portions are big and most importantly the food is DELICIOUS. We ordered the avocado bliss toast and the omelette along with fresh pressed apple and orange juice. An absolute banging way to start the day. Don’t read any other review, just go and see for yourself also, 5 stars on the staff, they were attentive and helpful!

Very delicious meal. We ordered a Full English breakfast and French toast, both dishes were perfect. The beans in the English breakfast are delicious, the sourdough is not too hard, and the bacon is not too salty. The French toast is very soft and tasty with berries and syrup. Momo's is situated on the southern end of Gordon's Square. There are a few small tables outside or you can do take-away. I enjoyed a Cortado and slice of pumpkin cake here recently.
