This was a fun discovery coming out of the tube on the way to our hotel -- we knew we needed to try it and then just kept going back. It was delightful how quickly we became regulars -- the super-friendly baristas recognized and joked with us. (The cinnamon buns are so good!) I'm just sad we don't live there -- it would be great to be full-time regulars. Would recommend for a tasty hot beverage and a breakfast snack. (The weekend food options wane compared with the weekday feast -- but you can grab a coffee and pop into another spot for food if they're out of what you need.)

We need to visit UCL area and find this coffee bar outside Russell Square tube station. It offers some good selection of bakeries and sandwiches, and very good fresh brew coffee! Staff are very friendly and I like the energy! Strongly recommend!

Very well priced and delicious coffees and pastries! 4 vegan pastries out of a dozen, tried 2, and both were amazing, especially when warmed up a bit. I haven’t tried the sandwiches, but will definitely do if they have vegan options. Looks like a local gem, frequented by people who live/work around. I need this street cafe at my doorstep!

We spent a few days staying at a nearby hotel and stumbled upon Bloomsbury. It became part of our morning routine. Great coffees and pastries and you just gotta love a place where after a few short days your order and face gets remembered. Great way to start a day!!

Another cute coffee shop in Russell Square! The observatory is a cozy coffee shop that reminds me of those trendy Seoul coffee shops that I’ve always wanted to go to! The have lots of seating area, including an unofficial quiet study area downstairs. We ordered a mocha and a latte which both had a really cute latte art on it and tasted great. The milk on the mocha could be a little bit silkier and less foamy but that is only if i’m being extremely picky. Whilst everything tasted great, it is a little bit on the more expensive side, hence why it’s a 4/5 overall… it’s more of a 4.5/5!

I had to kill some time while waiting for my clients in the area and I stumbled upon the cafe. It’s a 5-minute walk from Russel Square and 10 minutes from St. Pancras station, but the area is very peaceful and quiet, and so is the cafe. The cafe is literally in the space where they display photos, at the entrance of the gallery. I had Earl Grey for £3.5 and they prepared it in a glass pot, which was around 3-4 tea cups. it is probably a small thing for some people but as a tea lover it made me really happy as some careless places would just throw a whole tea bag into a cup and it ruins everything. The tea was delicious and I really enjoyed the quiet vibe of the cafe, which is also rare for central London. I’d definitely come back when I’m in the area.

We had a delightful breakfast at 49 Cafe. The limited seating might be a challenge during busy hours, but we managed to grab two spots by the window by arriving early. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs with sausage, while my wife had toasts and eggs, and we both savored the yogurt with berries. The Americano was just perfect to kickstart our day. Great, friendly service made the experience even better. Highly recommended for a cozy morning meal!

Very tasty food, very quick service and very nice place. Had such a great piece of lasagne with shrooms and onions crispy on top but soft inside, tons of flavour, yummy. Comfort food as it’s best. Past was great too, maybe on the more oily end of the range but I liked it a lot. Everything felt fresh and prepared same day. I used TGTG. Place is small but has nice atmosphere inside, it was quite busy even an hour before closing.

Excellent little cafe that we dropped into on our way from the British museum to the British Library. Its a great place to have a brunch with friends or couple, very close to St Pancras station, it was full of travellers as its quite convinient for them too. Remember you need to queue outside but its quite fast, it took 5’ for us. The place is very cosy and the food was very good and decent quantities. They should review the coffee quality, we did not like it. The price 25£ pp. Service was nice with us and we stayed there all time we needed. Its a bit noisy but worthy to visit! We will come back!

Excellent food, service was good but with systems down, it took a long time for even the coffee drinks to come out. The Oreo french toast was phenomenal, waffles amazing and the English breakfast very good. Careful with the chai drinks, extremely spicy, but good flavor. Servers were very nice, but could not out-nice the frustration with how long the kitchen took to prepare drinks and food. We arrived at open and it was packed, which is always a good sign, but I recommend asking if the systems are up and running before actually sitting down.

I visited this lovely coffee shop in the summer with a few friends. it's a shame we couldn't get a table outside as it was sunny and the basement seating is a little claustrophobic. That doesn't stop me from enjoying the lovely coffee here and the pastries. Being a vegetarian i was a little disappointed to see a lot of the fancier treats all had gelatine in them for the glaze. They do still have a lovely selection on buns to try. A lot of line had sold out so i was a little limited for options (that might be a good thing) Overall loved the coffee and treats

Casa Jardim

3-5 Woburn Walk, London WC1H 0JJ, UK | Cafe
P: 020 7388 1170

Rating: 4.7 (193) Price Level:

Excellent service and a nice little location close to Euston station but with a quiet feel. Our family got rained on so we ducked into Casa Jardim for some coffee and cake and to dry off. The place was nearly full and they had a large reservation coming soon, so there wasn't room inside for us. The owner kindly offered to bring a table in from outside and seated us in the shop area. The coffee was very tasty but the cakes were quite dry, which is the only negative I have. The selection of items for sale was also very cool and we would have purchased a few things if we hadn't been travelling with full bags. The decor is lovely and it's a very comfortable and cute setting.

Casa Jardim is a delightful café that emphasises healthy food and drinks. I enjoyed a refreshing carrot, orange, and ginger juice paired with a vegetarian frittata and salad. The interiors are cosy and charming, adding to the café's inviting atmosphere. A section of the café features various products for sale, including plants, floaty dressing gowns, bags, soaps, and more. There are also a few outdoor seats along the pedestrianised Woburn Walk. It’s a super cute spot, perfect for lunch with a partner or friend or solo dining.

This is an Italian cafe at Russell Square that is really good. They have a fair sized indoor seating area as well as plenty of tables outside if you want to enjoy nice weather. Opening hours are 7am to 6pm (weekdays) and 8am to 5pm (weekends). I found a queue on the morning. Service is friendly when placing orders and timely enough. Just 5 minute or so and I had ordered, paid and was looking for an open table. They have an all day menu of Italian dishes. I had a tomato, motz and pesto panini that was very good. Macchiato served was excellent, best I was served during this visit to London, perfect amount of milk and foam to cut the edge of the espresso without eliminating the flavour. Would gladly take a light morning meal here again based on this experience and would seek Caffe Tropea out for coffee next time in the city. What they served was excellent.

Fell in love in this place on our trip to London. I will forever be thinking about their bagels and coffee - the chicken avocado bagel was better than some in Australia. The Matcha was also really nice, plus the art on top was so beautiful. The best part of this place had to be the bench’s facing the window, we all loved sitting here and people watching. Staff were so friendly and kind both times we visited. Honestly cannot wait to come back to London and come here!!

The café has a lovely location, but the table wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Also, the bagel didn’t feel as authentic compared to what I’ve had before. However, the matcha latte was amazing!

I am absolutely obsessed with the Matcha Latte here - it’s perfection. And the croissant is buttery and flaky and exactly what you want. Their summer coolers are good too! Beware that they get really crowded during the morning rush.

I visited for afternoon tea on Tuesday, December 10, at 3:15 PM, and Alejandro, the manager on duty during that time, was absolutely AMAZING. He went above and beyond by bringing my dog, Apollo, a dog bed and a treat. I was genuinely impressed by his thoughtfulness and exceptional service! He also took photos of us! Alejandro is the reason I’ll be coming back. Please give him a raise, promote him—whatever it takes to keep such a gem on your team!

Lately, this is the best place I had visited in London when it comes to hospitality, service & ambience. Me & my husband had ordered pre- theatre menu & we were glad we chose to dine here before new show in the town , and this place is just behind the dominion theatre. I had visited Dalloway back in 2018 for breakfast with my friend & had good memories, so we decided to dine here as in pre theatre menu we had lots of vegetarian options so we both could share. Staff were very courteous, friendly & patient including door attendants. Zenka served us with so much care, love & hands down great hospitality throughout. Industry needs more people like her, who make the whole experience delightful which is rarity these days even in fine restaurants. We had such a great time here, enjoying food and everything thats needed to make it a wonderful & memorable evening. Place was very quiet & tranquil & ideally lit. They even made our drink Mandarin Mimosa- non alcoholic to our taste We absolutely loved the whole experience & Sticky toffee pudding is really the must try.
