They can do noodles very well, cucumber salad is really flavourful and the rice is so good too. The lamb Skewers are very tender, good value but incredibly delicious
Rating: 5 / 5
If you’re looking for authentic Uyghur cuisine, this spot in London is a hidden gem! The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The lamb skewers? Absolutely mouthwatering—juicy, smoky, and seasoned to perfection. But the real star for me was the spicy chicken (dapanji). If you’re a fan of bold, flavorful spice, this dish is a must! Our server, Fateh, recommended the qoruma chop, and it was a game-changer—rich, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. For the kids, we ordered Uyghur polo, and they couldn’t get enough! It’s perfect for little ones since it’s not spicy but still packed with flavor. This restaurant is a true treasure, and I’d give it 10/10. If you haven’t experienced Uyghur cuisine yet, you’re missing out. We’ll definitely be back and are crossing our fingers for more Uyghur restaurants to open nearby. Don’t miss this culinary adventure!

This is a very authentic Uyghur restaurant! I visited based on the high ratings, and it was absolutely worth it. The homemade noodles are thick, silky, and perfectly coated in a delicious, glossy sauce. The lamb skewers are a must-try, and every cold dish is a standout. Everything else looked incredibly appetizing as well. We only paid £15 each – amazing value. I’ll definitely be back!

Dropped by for lunch. Thought it was a Chinese but it was a Uyghur restaurant. It was my first time to try Uyghur dishes and I like them. I had some kebab, noodle and lamb pizza. Everything was delicious. Best of all was their hospitality. The waiter (from Turkey) was so friendly and even offered yogurt for desert for free. Will definitely visit again when I’m back to London next time. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Tarim Uyghur Restaurant really deserves one. The food was fantastic—authentic, rich flavours that are hard to find elsewhere. Special mention to Fatih, who was incredibly polite and made us feel so welcome. This place is a real hidden gem in London, and I’d highly recommend visiting for a unique and genuinely warm experience!

A Perfect Celebration! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the most wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! The carbonara was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. It’s easily the best we’ve ever had! The service was impeccable, with Dilek, Ivan, and the entire team going above and beyond to make the evening memorable. We were celebrating a birthday, and they truly made the birthday girl feel so special, adding thoughtful touches that made the night unforgettable. From the warm ambiance to the attention to detail, everything was exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing food and incredible hospitality! Will definitely be back.

This is our best meal in London. We went to this restaurant because of the great reviews they got and we were very pleased with the food and the service. The food was excellent. Everyone in our group loved their food. The staff were super nice and friendly. If you are in the area, you’ve got to try this restaurant.

Amazing experience! Special thanks to Eggy for his thoughtful and friendly service—he sang me a birthday song, that was incredibly sweet! The cocktails he made were excellent, perfectly balanced in flavor. Also I highly recommend the seafood linguine and tiramisu. Definitely a place worth visiting!

The best birthday experience! Kartik really surprised us! We just wanted him to store the birthday cake for us, but he lit the candles for us and brought it over singing Happy birthday!!! Both the food and service are fabulous!

Everything we ordered was delicious , especially the pizza number 9. Highly recommend! The service was also excellent! Giuseppe was very polite and welcoming from the start! He made sure we are happy with everything. We will definitely be coming back! :)

First time to this branch. Nice and cosy. Busy. Clean. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Service was efficient, despite being busy. Food comes out quickly after ordering but is nicely presented and freshly made. I went with my favourite pizza or number 5 which comprised cantabrian anchovies, organic tomato, mozzarella, kalamata black olives, capers, garlic & oregano with a soft drink. Very good as always and delicious. I could have done with one or two more anchovies. Too many would make the pizza salty but just maybe as I said, one or two more. Very good otherwise. They have other items on the menu as well but go for the pizza as this is what they are known for.

Went here for lunch. Love this place! Food is amazing, smoky sourdough pizza best in London in my opinion 🤌🏻🔥 Lee been really friendly and helped me with the menu. Cozy and warm atmosphere.

45 Great Queen St, London WC2B 5AA, UK | Italian Restaurant P: 020 3409 4777
Rating: 4.5 (945) Price Level:
Why have I never been here before??? In some respects this Covent Garden institution is a mish mash of contrasts. Classy yet unpretentious. Simple menu yet such complexity of flavour. And a concise yet impeccable wine list. Big shout out to Anastasia too. She was our hostess dare I say our headmistress. Kept us punctual informed and heading utterly in the right direction. This place has it all. Service, ambiance, style and most importantly delicious food. And pretty much the best San Danielle ham I’ve had outside of Milano. A must try!! It’s not cheap but worth every penny. I was so impressed I booked a work dinner for 10 as I was leaving.
Rating: 4 / 5
Everything was tasty enough although some portions were a bit big! Scallops were perfect. Definitely DONT recommend the raspberry espresso martini
Rating: 5 / 5
It’s actually beyond my expectations. We thought we won’t be able to feel filling after fine dining but I was wrong. We ordered two course set each. Highly recommend stuffed squid as starter and seafood risotto as main. Staff are very friendly. They took the wrong order but gave us the wrong dish for free which is acceptable. Cord is a bit tasteless but very fresh.
Rating: 4 / 5
Seafood dishes are too salty for me (esp scallops) but rest are not bad. Mille-feuille is really nice. I feel like waiter/waitress are a bit understaffed as we couldn’t get hold of them often but they are nice people and can deliver results when needed. Overall good experience.

42 Kingsway, London WC2B 6EY, UK | Mediterranean Restaurant P: 020 7242 2424
Rating: 4.6 (154) Price Level:
All the seafood was fresh and flavourful - calamari, mussels and the octopus was exceptionally nice. The coffee crème brûlée flavour was well balanced and tasty. Could have used a plate with equal depth and deeper plus smaller. As the heat from the torch warmed up the thinner edges. Also crust could have been darker to have better crack. Bread should sit on the pass for less time to get that fresh flavour. Overall, very lovely food, stylish interior and friendly & professional staff

Overall 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Food Quality 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Food Quantity 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Cost 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (with the 50% off deal otherwise 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) Ambiance 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Service 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Had not heard of this restaurant till I started looking on @thefork_uk app for a restaurant with a deal near the British Museum and there is a great 50% off deal running at this restaurant currently which I HIGHLY encourage you to take advantage of. See my bio for a referral code to The Fork app (their process of getting Yums for money off meals is fantastic BTW so if you’re not already using this app, get using it!) The restaurant looks lovely and at first I thought we were a bit under-dressed for it but the vibe was casual and very friendly so this wasn’t a problem. Bonus – they had a LIVE jazz trio performing too! Very cool! The food was fantastic, as were the drinks (I didn’t picture the Old Fashioned’s here but I got through 3 of them!) Service was amazing and our waitress (a young lady from the US) was awesome – she accidentally forgot one portion of chunky chips which I had to ask for and she ended up comping us 4 desserts! Totally not necessary but really impressive service! I loved my sea bass main course with side of mushrooms and broccoli (it comes with a salad) and I will definitely be back for this again! I also loved the garlic butter kind prawn starter I ate and would order this again too. My dessert was the Tiramisu but I am coming back for that Turkish Coffee Creme Brulee!
Rating: 4 / 5
Atmosphere here is great, love the decor. Service was very prompt but it felt a bit too overwhelming with a specific server which kept hovering over us... The peppers, tuna tartare and garlic prawns were average at best but the octopus was really nice. Love the balance between the spice and creaminess (of the octopus).
Rating: 5 / 5
Delicious Mediterranean food beautifully served. The pulpo ala gallega reminded me of being in Galicia, tasty and authentic. The prawns in garlic butter were just gorgeous, perfectly cooked not a second more. As a main I had salmon & black caviar on a bed of mash potato which looked good and tasted even better. It was a great experience for a foodie like me. Highly recommend it, truly fantastic!!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's a really beautiful space. The staff are very friendly and really accommodated us deapite showing up half an hour early. The food really exceeded my expectations. The Argentinian Sirloin was tended and cooked to perfection. Had Sangria and it was beautifully made. I live close by so will definitely be visiting again.

Honey & Co. Bloomsbury

Rating: 4.5 (1588) Price Level:
As a sweets lover, I can ensure this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had in my life. The almonds, the honey, the creamy feta... All the ingredients mix together so harmoniously! Not too sweet, great texture and surprisingly tasty. Food looks great too!
Rating: 5 / 5
Incredible experience. The food is a fresh, inventive explosion to your senses. Colors, smells, tastes—truly delightful. Reservations are best, but always pop in to see if a counter spot is available. It’s a tight fit, but worth any perceived inconvenience. We tried the Spiced pumpkin falafel with a perfect texture, not greasy in the slightest and the creamiest tahini I’ve ever experienced. The acidity of the side tomato salad was a perfect accompaniment. Next up was the Beetroot sabzi salad which included perfectly tender multi colored beets with lovely greens tasting with a hint of anise. Finally, we experienced the lovely surprise of the Roasted aubergine with BBQ tahini crust—once you venture beyond the crust, a creamy mixture of flavors delights. It is perfectly paired with a colorful jewelled rice salad. Afterwards we popped across the way to get a takeout pastry—a chocolate layered rugelach—Outstanding. A bit pricey but overall a perfect restaurant splurge. Thank you 🙏

We were a group of 10 and all of us got the sharing menu. We were seated in their lovely private dining room. We tasted most dishes. Standouts were the mezze platter (A+ hummus and bread) and the honey cheesecake. The lamb and seabass were good but not standouts in my opinion. Overall I'd have to give this 3.5 to 4 stars. While the food was good, I thought it was a tad expensive since it came up to £80 per person. Great ambiance though.
Rating: 5 / 5
Super memorable meal. Everything was amazing, and I'd love to try more of the menu. The falafel was cooked to perfection, but the tahini and salad it was paired with stole the show. The beet root salad was bright and refreshing with all the herbs that were used. The slow cooked lamb melted in my mouth. Absolutely outstanding. And the cheesecake. Oh, the cheesecake. One of the best desserts I have ever had.

I visited this restaurant for dinner with my family and friends. Despite its small size, the venue was fully booked and lively, and I loved the warm and inviting atmosphere of the interior. We dined in the private room at the very back, which was wonderfully quiet and allowed us to enjoy a calm and relaxing time. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, which was evident in both presentation and taste. The selection of tableware and drinks also showcased great style, and we thoroughly enjoyed the modern Mediterranean cuisine. While the portions of the main dishes were generous, the food was so delicious that we still managed to enjoy a variety of starters as well. Conveniently located not far from Holborn Station, the restaurant is tucked away, giving it a hidden gem vibe. All my friends were highly satisfied, and it’s a place I’d gladly recommend!

The Ship Tavern
12 Gate St, London WC2A 3HP, UK | Pub P: 020 7405 1992
Rating: 4.5 (2485) Price Level:
My husband & I stopped by this pub after exploring the British Museum. It was easily the best food & experience that we had in London. The staff was very kind to us lost Americans & let us eat there between reservations so that we could experience the full menu. We were so extremely grateful for this. We had excellent drinks & the BEST Fish & Chips/Sunday Roast. We've been recommending this pub to anyone who will listen because it is THAT good. We can't thank them enough for making our honeymoon so special & going out of their way for us when they did not have to do so.

My wife and I recently visited The Ships Tavern with hopes of enjoying a classic fish and chips dinner—and wow, did it exceed our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfectly setting the tone for a great dining experience. The fish and chips were absolutely fantastic—crispy batter, fresh fish, and perfectly cooked chips that left us thoroughly impressed. The portion size for the fish was huge, making it incredible value for money. For dessert, we opted for the baked hot apple pie, and it was absolutely outstanding. The rich, warm filling paired with the perfectly flaky crust was pure comfort food bliss. It was the perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional service. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. A special mention goes to one young staff member who went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I were well looked after. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for our experience made all the difference. We would highly recommend The Ships Tavern for anyone looking for quality food, generous portions, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful Pub inside and out. Dog friendly, staff are great, coffee & wine were good. Will definitely be back to eat as the food on the menu looked really tasty and unlike the typical pub fare... Came back for food, wasn't disappointed at all. Great tasting food cooked perfectly.

The Ship Tavern in London offers an exceptional dining experience that blends fantastic food, warm hospitality, and a cozy, nautical-themed atmosphere. Every dish we tried was outstanding, showcasing both high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. Our meal included brisket, beef wellington, sourdough, and a kids’ turkey dish for the little ones—all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. For drinks, we had Inch’s cider and Coldharbour beer, both perfectly refreshing and a great match for the meal. The smoked brisket and beef wellington —perfectly cooked with rich, savory flavors. Fully recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. While the prices are on the higher side, it feels justified given the exceptional quality of the food and service. The atmosphere is phenomenal, with its ship-inspired décor creating a charming and welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect blend of traditional pub warmth and unique thematic touches, making it a memorable spot for both families and foodies. Overall, The Ship Tavern delivers on all fronts—great food, drinks, ambiance, and service. A must-visit if you’re in London!

I am a regular customer of the Oak Room at The Ship Tavern and it is one of my favourite places to have a meal for many reasons. I usually have their Beef Wellington, as it is one of my favourite dishes, but even the starters are all well cooked and tasty. Also, their sticky toffee pudding is divine and I like how they serve it with clotted cream instead of ice cream like many other places. However, what really makes The Ship Tavern special is the amazing staff. Everyone (and I mean everyone) is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Even when they are very busy, they make time to make sure you are comfortable or just have a quick chat. It really makes a difference. I always look forward to my next visit to The Ship Tavern and definitely recommend it if you want to have great British food in a friendly and relaxing environment.

I had to book a group of 14 for a work Christmas lunch. Right from the very start, all the staff were extremely friendly, personable, and helpful! We had a couple of last-minute changes, and they handled them with no issue whatsoever! I want to give a special shoutout to our server Alex! She ran an incredibly professional shift. Everything we ordered came punctually, piping hot, and exactly to specification. All of it tasting amazing! Speaking to my team after the lunch, numerous people independently highlighted the service as particularly good. Especially when compared to other Christmas lunch events. I would give them 6 stars if I could! I am sure I will be back again.

I went on Saturday for dinner and it wasn't too busy. They have two floors and one bar. The service was attentive and fast. I ordered a bottle of pinot noir for £45 and the steak platter to share: fillet, steak, both cooked medium-rare, prawns and onion rings for £69, with the additional chimichuri sauce. For dessert, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was cooked perfectly and soo tasty. I must return to try the rest! I recommend it!

Have our birthday dinner here and everything is so great that far more than our expectation! We had ribeye, pork belly, crispy quail with two sides. Like the other comment for the restaurant earlier the ribeye is hella juicy and it’s so tender as the way we would like to cook. I have to say IT IS WAY BETTER than most of the so call good steak houses in the city!!!!!! Pork belly, super crunchy, juicy and the sauce just comes perfect with it, brings more flavors . Hate to mention the quail last but it is just full of flavor and crispy as it says on the name! It’s a perfect choice as appetizer. The staff is super friendly and they will allows you to enjoy the dinner experience much more. Definitely a hidden gem in Grey’s Inn road!!! Had a very satisfied dining experience with Solus. Will absolutely coming back!!

I visited this place for dinner and it was amazing😍 As soon as I entered, I was impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of the restaurant, after experiencing the incredible professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the service was perfect. As for the food, it was incredibly tasty, the freshness and high quality of the products was felt, the presentation of the dishes deserves a separate star. Thank you for a warm evening and an incredible experience, I will definitely come back again and also enjoy visiting your new places✨
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely cosy restaurant with a good selection on their menu to eat out with friends, covering most dietary preferences really. The table was rather small, making it less flexible to share food served on big plates. I particularly enjoyed the ribeye with a hint of the char flavour. Toilet was located in the basement via one flight of stairs, which was in a typically London restaurant setting.

A heartfelt thank you to Hoda and Keyvan for your outstanding help and professionalism. The team had a fantastic time at your restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special thanks to the chef for accommodating all our dietary requests and handling the last-minute changes with such grace and care. This was very much appreciated and contributed greatly to making everyone feel happy and included on this special celebration. Your attention to detail and warm hospitality did not go unnoticed—it truly made a memorable afternoon for all of us. We will definitely be back without a doubt! Had an excellent meal here! Really loved everything and you can tell the staff really care for the product. I ordered natto and I actually really enjoyed it. Really is 'Japanese marmite'. Coffee is excellent. Desserts also excellent. If you love coffee you have to get their coffee jelly. Can't wait to come back and try more!
