I can’t recommend Phil enough! He is an amazing teacher and fantastic pronunciation coach. I had been looking for someone who could help me improve my pronunciation, intonation and public speaking skills and when I started working with Phil I knew straight away he was the one who could help me: Phil is very knowledgeable in terms of phonetics, phonemic and has amazing teaching techniques to help correct years of wrong pronunciation. My son was disengaged with his studies and looking at getting a D grade for his A-level maths, on a good day. Adam has been his tutor for just over a month and somehow my son’s engagement has become fantastic, his ambition has been rekindled and he is on a journey to getting an A grade (minimum) in June, provided he continues on his current trajectory. Adam is an outstanding tutor and communicates the required knowledge and application in a way that ensures both understanding and exam success. Truly amazing! The difference in my son’s attitude and achievement has also been acknowledged by his school, who know nothing of the tuition. Last test he got 98%. After being advised by a local primary school teacher in the North West of the UK, I contacted Owl Tutors for their services for my daughter as she had secondary school examinations. Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 level(when he was at year 10) to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. The matched tutors for Sociology and Geography A level were outstanding. I have consistently used Uber Tutors for my child since year 5, elevating their potential at different stages of their State and Comprehensive schooling. Uber Tutors coached my child through their dyslexia diagnosis, immediately understanding their needs and instilling confidence. I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays (and clearly many do). However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently (dare I say enthusiastically?) but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum. I have used the service of Keystone Tutor preparing for 11 plus exam, for a period of roughly six months. Process of onboarding was really efficient and swift, tutoring of great quality.
