Andrew is a superb A Level biology tutor. He has an excellent knowledge of the Eduqas syllabus. My son always found his tutorials extremely helpful as Andrew was able to explain the tricky curriculum content in a way he was able to understood. He also valued his support with structuring his revision so that he was as prepared as he could be when the exams arrived. I had Andrew as an A Level biology tutor for just over a year and he made a big difference for me. He was always positive during our sessions, where he helped me understand the content thoroughly. Andrew taught me how to apply the content through doing past paper questions together which boosted my confidence. He also helped with my revision by providing past paper timetables which I found very helpful and he would always answer any questions I had, through Skype chat. In his final school year, our son had weekly online Biology A Level tuition with Andrew. I wanted to review before my son gets his results back as largely the outcome is irrelevant to my feedback. Over the past months Anne has worked with Alf in a supportive and encouraging way. Stretching him for sure, but offering guidance, feedback and tutoring at an appropriate level through each stage of his learning journey. In that time I’ve seen his confidence and ability sky rocket and the complexity of the problems he’s now approaching are far in excess of what he was capable of last December. I contacted Anne around 6 months before the GCSE exams. Anne gladly accommodated my twin daughters together in one session and nearer to exam time, at our request, individually. Both my girls lacked confidence in Maths and needed a boost to help improve their borderline grades. Anne worked solidly with the girls each session, and they quickly enjoyed attending, working on specific areas of difficulties and then past exam papers. Never once did my girls complain about their lessons with Anne which was such an improvement on their views about school lessons. They found her supportive, engaging and above all humorous! The best tutor! I couldn’t recommend Andrew enough as a tutor. He helped me get through my second year of A level Biology. Thanks to him I was able to get the grade I needed to study Biomedical science at University. I couldn’t have done it without him! He is so patient, supportive and has amazing techniques to help students remember the content. During the sessions it was a very safe space where I felt comfortable to ask as many questions as I wanted. After each session I felt more confident and sure in my knowledge. Kumon has proved invaluable for both our children, especially during this pandemic. It ensured the kids kept learning everyday. Our youngest is in year 6 and thanks to his progress in both maths and English, goes into senior school with the confidence he needs, as he is currently 2 years above where he needs to be in the curriculum. Our eldest is in year 9 and in his words ' I would have fallen behind without the help of Kumon while we were learning from home'. As parents, you need to also put the effort in, but the rewards really do speak for themselves. Chen and the Kumon Team are always there for us and willing to help. It really is one of the best investments you can make for forwarding your children's education.

I had a very positive experience at Winchester Kumon Centre, both as a Kumon student (throughout my primary and secondary school years) and later as an assistant working at the centre. The Kumon method helped me to develop specific maths and literacy skills, but also enabled me to develop independent study skills and a positive approach to learning. Working at the centre was also a valuable experience, and I enjoyed working as part of a friendly and competent team. I would definitely recommend the centre for students of any age or ability who want to pursue their personal learning goals.

Having spent many months looking for a teacher of Japanese, my lessons with Tatiana have far surpassed my expectations. She is very methodical and patient with me - especially with my ADHD and my hectic timetable. Since starting my teacher has now helped me start Russian - I can actually read Cyrillic which in itself I have found to be a great achievement not just for me but my teachers ability to transfer her skills of teaching to me as a student. Since starting I now have also taken up Arabic - my Arabic tutor is again of similar quailing and patient with me. I hope within a year my level of fluency will be medium to fluent - as long as I put the work in. I cannot begin to thank you and I am forever greatful for your help in helping me achieve some of my life’s goals.

I have joined the LinguaFast Language school around July 2023 to learn Japanese. I have to say that the experience so far as been really great! The Japanese teacher has a lot of experience having lived in Japan for a lot of years and brings with her the linguist knowledge and the culture which I love to hear about. The classes are well presented and we do a lot of exercises that allow us to have the theory and put it into to practice. I joined an awesome Japanese group class with amazing people and we all have a great passion for this culture which makes the class even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend this school since is such a joy to be part of as a student.

I have been studying with LinguaFAST for nearly six weeks and Viktoria has been very patient in resurrecting my very rusty GCSE French and starting to turn my command of the language from the mediocre into something more competent. She took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve, assessed my current level and then tailored the content of each lesson appropriately. She really tries to make you speak French as much as possible during the lesson, which is rather daunting at first but pushes you to become more confident in expressing yourself in the language. I'm really looking forward to continuing learning French with Viktoria and becoming more proficient. Thank you.

I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly.
