Having decided we would like the help of a tutor for our daughter for her GCSEs we were a little lost, but thankfully found Tahir! He is a lovely, calm and patient tutor who on a 1 to 1 basis was excellent our daughter. Without him she would have never gone from a grade 3 to a grade 6, we would highly recommend him to anybody in need of a maths or science tutor! Mr and Mrs Stone

I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. All-over, I'm so happy with the tuition provider.

Yasmine deserves a huge amount of recognition and thanks for the work she has done with our daughter in preparation for her maths GCSE. Despite my husband being a total maths buff and trying repeatedly to help with our daughter's understanding, it just wasn't working and we turned to A Helping Hand. After only the first session, it was like a mist had started to lift and this is all down to Yasmine's ability to engage her students and explain things in a way they can understand. Fantastic tutor. My daughter is quite shy and has always struggled with maths as she is dyslexic. Yasmine really managed to bond with her and my daughter always came out smiling after her session with Yaz. We have had Yasmine all the way through my daughters gcse yrs and it really made her more confident in maths and I think she enjoyed the subject much more with the extra help from Yasmine. Still awaiting results, but mocs went well so I have no doubts about my daughter not passing, so Thankyou very much Yasmine. I would completely recommend.

My daughters have had tutoring since 2018 from Target Tutoring where they have progressed over the years with excellent tutoring and guidance from Janet. Term by term, I have seen my daughters achieve great results from Janet's teaching methods and also her attention to detail has played an important role in their progression. This is evident from Janet providing detailed scheduled reports that have always been clear and spot on. Clearly, Janet has been able to identify my childrens' weaknesses and has been able to tackle these issues inline with the schools' curriculum. Also, from the feedback from my daughters, I have seen them being more and more open to Janet's structured teaching techniques over the years, earning the trust of my daughters that has seen an incredible improvement in their attitude, both having the confidence to be able to speak out and enjoy their previous Junior School group discussions. Finally seeing my daughter perform exceptionally well in passing her 11+ examination, was a great effort achievement that I have no doubt Janet must take some credit for. Eventually, they progressed into High School where Janet has provided support to allow them to settle comfortably in their first term. Janet has helped support both our children, who are very different in terms of personality and need. She took special care to identify their own specific requirements and remained open and flexible as things progressed. She is a warm and experienced person who has gone above and beyond, even after we stopped using her services, in supporting not only the children, but us as parents. She understands what kind of ‘learner’ your child is and endeavours to work with them to gain the best outcome for them. We really value Janet’s objective, understanding guidance through the sometimes demanding transition from primary to secondary school, and always feel that if we ever needed another opinion we could ask for her input. My wife and I engaged Janet's Target Tutoring services for our daughter commencing from January 2020.  The primary aim was to prepare her for entrance exams for 3 independent schools to be taken in January 2021 but also to supplement her ongoing Year 5 education as well. My daughter enjoyed the sessions immensely and these have helped her both develop her academic abilities across the board and grow in confidence as a result.  Janet works very well in creating a team environment in her tutoring, as my daughter felt supported throughout her sessions.  We also found Janet to be excellent at communicating throughout the disruption wrought by the pandemic, keeping us updated and also working with children, when she was able to, to the safest possible environment.  Outside of these periods of disruption, Janet was adept at concentrating on key areas given sessions were lost to lockdown and also having a regular dialogue (being very responsive on email) as to the aims and objectives of sessions. My daughter found the expert guidance on entrance exam preparation to be especially valuable, particularly with regards to number codes and English comprehension, which feature very strongly in most entrance exams and can often prove challenging to children   My daughter's ability to solve number code puzzles logically and quickly is truly impressive. In terms of Janet's tutoring, the proof is in the pudding, as they say: my daughter received offers from all 3 schools and commences her secondary education at her first choice school in September 2021.  As you would expect, my family cannot recommend Janet highly enough.

Kirsty makes learning maths from being very difficult to fun activity for my 9 year old daughter. She is looking forward to her sessions. Primary mathematics is very important for child to learn and develop for later harder stages of math. Like building a house. Strong foundation is must for sturdy house. My grandson has been tutored by Kirsty for 5 years. She was an amazing support to him during Covid lockdowns, which was a difficult time. Henry is always happy to see Kirsty, even though it is more 'learning' after school. She has helped enormously with his confidence and concentration, and his reading, particularly comprehension, is greatly improved. Kirsty makes learning fun with lots of educational games. Can’t thank Sumit and Aarzoo enough for the help and support they gave my son in preparation for his GCSEs last year, which undoubtedly helped him achieve a whole two grades above his expected grade in his final exams for Maths.
