A huge thank you to Nikki for helping our son achieve success in passing his 11+ exam this January. She spent time really getting to understand where his individual weaknesses were and giving him personally-tailored strategies to overcome them. This enabled him to tackle comprehension and writing exercises which he would struggle with even starting before. Her knowledge in verbal and non-verbal question types and the best strategies to adopt in answering these were also invaluable. I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. My son thoroughly enjoyed attending Brilliant Tutors. The staff were engaging and knowledgeable, with plenty of little rewards along the way to aid motivation. Regular testing and extensive preparation meant my son was really not worried about sitting his 11 plus test. Monika is very approachable and available to answer questions and help when needed. Parental support is expected, but all resources are provided, with clear answers for marking all homework. Brilliant tutors have so far truly lived up to its name. My daughter is currently enrolled and preparing for 11+. She started in year 5 and I was a bit concerned as a lot of the children start much earlier, given the level of competition. Monica has been extremely approachable from the onset. She has been so supportive, she willingly gave my daughter all the extra time she needed so that she can come up to speed. She is very positive, encouraging and motivating to the children while also maintaining the level of discipline required. We had tried two other very renowned classes in the Earley area but my daughter did not enjoy as their style of teaching was not engaging enough and they failed to understand each child and their potential. Whereas Monica knows every child and their strengths and weaknesses. She doesn’t run the class like a business but has a real love for teaching and that shows in every interaction we’ve had with her. My daughter liked this class from the very first one and has not looked back, she’s doing quite well now in her tests so far. Most importantly, she’s happy which is essential for healthy learning. Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch.
