My daughter has only done 4 sessions and has achieved a great mark in her end of year Maths exam which we are delighted with, as it sets her up to have a confident start after the summer holidays in the next year. Kip McGrath is worth every penny in giving confidence and exam skills. My son also attended a couple of years ago for his Maths GCSE and I am certain would not have passed without the training he had here. A very clever and expensive private tutor for 2 years did not help him as much as Kip McGrath did. Highly recommended.

Yasmine deserves a huge amount of recognition and thanks for the work she has done with our daughter in preparation for her maths GCSE. Despite my husband being a total maths buff and trying repeatedly to help with our daughter's understanding, it just wasn't working and we turned to A Helping Hand. When it comes to personal tutoring, Felicity sets a new standard. She truly went above and beyond my expectations. First and foremost, her passion not just for the subject but life in general was a huge inspiration for me. I contacted Felicity when I was in my last year at university, I was struggling for confidence and belief that I could graduate. Before anything, she listened to me, got to know me on a personal level, and was, therefore, able to shape our sessions to best help me. Felicity was able to give me the confidence and belief in my ideas and ability that pushed me through my last year. She felt like a safety net, ready to catch me whenever I fell. Nothing was too much to ask of her. Often she'd stay well beyond are arranged times to give me extra help if I asked for it. Countless times Felicity would stay until 10-10.30pm to help me with my work - I honestly cannot speak more highly of her. Thanks to her, I achieved grades I had previously considered well beyond my potential. She is an honest, caring human and an outstanding tutor. I will be eternally grateful for her support and the self-belief she instilled in me.

I highly recommend Love to Learn. Two of my children are receiving maths tuition once a week and have just completed the first term. The goal was for our children to start senior school with as much confidence as possible with their maths skills so they never felt behind others making this transition in their schooling. Howard carried out a rigorous initial assessment to ascertain their starting points, from which the excellent tutor (Grazia) planned a programme to support them specifically at their level. I'm very pleased that after their first session both our children said it was very worthwhile and enjoyable - I didn't anticipate this so was thrilled it was the case. Our children quickly developed their skills and confidence and as a result, achieved very well in their two first term assessments. This was a good confidence boost and has placed them in a good maths set. The tutoring is helpful, supportive, but also challenging which is essential for the children to achieve rapid progress. Our Son originally started a year ago (yr 3) to assist with his handwriting but he also has an appetite for learning, especially maths. I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. Since my son (now in year 6) started tuition sessions with Marie six month ago, I have noticed a good improvement in his school work. He is now achieving much better on the subjects covered (Maths abd English). His last year end report showed a good deal of improvement. I’m not a native English speaker so I wasn’t confident to speak with people around me. I was worried about this. However, Marie is doing great things to help me improve my English speaking, reading and writing skills. She is a fantastic and very talented tutor. I definitely enjoy my online lessons twice a week with a friendly and supportive teacher who gives me useful advice and tips for dealing with specific English expressions. It’s funny, but I’ve never had a lot of them in my vocabulary. She always knows how to explain whatever I need for better understanding. I’m absolutely relaxed and comfortable during my lessons. I very much appreciate that I have helpful classes with such a lovely person as Marie.

Marie has been great at tutoring English to my son. She manages to change the pace to keep him interested throughout each session, which is a challenge when he's not engaged in learning, and this is over a zoom lesson too. The different games and apps used are good fun and keep the interest going. Marie has also been great at switching tools to use when we discovered my son's new Chromebook didn't do all the expected things with zoom anymore. I highly recommend Marie for your tutoring needs, no matter where you are located ☺️
