I cannot recommend Varsha enough. I am pleased with the progress my two children are making with their Maths and English. They have gained so much confidence since starting the Kumon program, especially my oldest, who is Autistic, as it has provided him with the academic support he needs to remain in mainstream school. I’m not going to lie; it is hard work, but if done with consistency, it builds confidence and resilience, not to mention their academic progress. Varsha and her assistants are always accommodating and professional. What makes it great is that the assistants have been on the programme, have the insight required, and can relate to the students whom they support.

My twins started Kumon almost 3 years ago, Varsha has always been very kind and she was very friendly towards the kids. She always motivated them and helped them when needed and they always loved her so much that they just wanted to be with her.

My daughter has enjoyed her experience overall and her confidence in maths has improved. The only area which could be improved on is making sure the tutors are the same each week, as she really had one tutor that she liked a lot with his style of teaching. I am very impressed with Explore Learning. Let me provide a real life scenario how Explore Learning helped my Srihan to reach where we intended. - I enrolled Srihan 2 years back in Explore Learning. He was doing OK at that point but needed improvement. Our main intention was for 11+ and we were targeting grammar school nearby. - Within next 2-3 months, I saw the improvement. I would confidently recommend Kara Cook without any hesitation at all, my daughter is 10 years old and was struggling though the lockdown period, she wasn't enjoying Maths and had very little confidence. I feel blessed to have found Kara who was able to bring back the fun in learning and she has a lovely way of communicating with children. My son has been attending Kumon for three years now and I am very pleased with the progress he has done so far. I am also very pleased because Kumon is more than a tutoring school, Kumon teaches resilience and perseverance that are keys to succeed not only in Maths or English but in any subjects, and maybe in many aspects in one's life. We are very fortunate to attend Kumon Shirley that is run by Ivy Man who is a wonderful skilled and patient teacher. I like the fact that Kumon works hand in hand with the parents and the child to reach the same goal. Finally I must admit, I love Kumon because their homework are on paper and not on computer !

My son has been doing Maths at the Shirley Kumon centre for for about a year and a half. He feels his mental maths has got stronger and he is certainly ahead of his class. Kumon lays a strong foundation for the basics which are needed at every step. My son feels confident in calculations and Kumon has assessed him as 2 years ahead of the level for his age group. Maths is definitely his favourite subject. We have been to different Kumon centres, but this centre is by far the best. All the credit goes to the instructor Dr. Ivy Man, who is one of the best teachers we have met. She takes a keen interest in all her students. She is very dedicated and hardworking. I have had a progress meeting with her followed by a detailed report for my son and regular e-mail updates, which I have never had in any of the other centres. My son feels that she is very patient and answers all his questions and believe me, there is never a dearth of those in his mind! I strongly recommend St James' Park Kumon centre to all my friends.

My son started Kumon in Shirley at the start of the pandemic and it is one of the best things we have ever done! His mental agility is very good and he is very confident in maths. My daughter has been doing Maths and English at the Shirley Kumon center. Kumon lays a strong foundation for the basics of Math and English. I can see how much she has improved in her mental Maths and in English expanding her vocabulary. It has massively enhanced my daughter’s academic ability, confidence, and joy to learn. She has excelled beyond her age group in her school. I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. I'd wholeheartedly recommend her if you are an adult wishing to pick up or polish your French or Spanish. We also laugh a lot!

Adolf is truly an amazing maths tutor. His cool, calm and gentle manner has really helped my sons mathematical competence. He explains each topic clearly until it is fully understood and then retests them at a later date, making sure the information has definitely sunk in. This is backed up with homework and revision . We are very happy with the tutor service Adolf has provided to my son and daughter. My son is currently preparing to take GCSEs and since having Adolf he has improved by nearly 2 grades in his mock exams. This has motivated my son to want to improve further and achievea higher grade. We have noticed both our children feel more confident in their maths ability. My son came to Adolf having to resit his Maths GCSE in order to progress to the next stage in his learning journey. He had completely lost faith in himself that he would be able to pass with gaps in his learning due to Covid times. Adolf was calm and patient and my son managed to gain the level required and is now on the course he wanted at college. Many thanks Adolf
