I would confidently recommend Kara Cook without any hesitation at all, my daughter is 10 years old and was struggling though the lockdown period, she wasn't enjoying Maths and had very little confidence. We have been so pleased to have found Kanika. She has given both my husband and I, and most importantly my daughter, lots more confidence in managing the dyslexia journey. It can feel overwhelming at first, but Kanika helps tailor and break it down into manageable chunks. It’s really hard to add in another educational “class” on top of school when your child is still in KS1, but Kanika makes it light hearted and fun for our daughter. Both my husband and I feel it is one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter.

Cate was very good at assessing where our son was with his French and systematically helped him work on his weaker areas. Kumon has been a great investment into my children's (11 and 13) education over the last 2 years and Chen and the Kumon Winchester team provide exceptional service. We have been doing Maths and English and both children are now 1.5-2 years ahead of the school curriculum and very confident self-learners. The added benefit of English is the rich and diverse content they get to read and work with that expands their view of their knowledge on a daily basis. Through the pandemic Kumon provided the much needed stability in learning and the organisation of online lessons was exceptional, much better than school lessons. To this day, I appreciate the amount of data and insights we are provided about the children's progress and how exceptionally well-organised the study centres, events and communication are.

Kumon has proved invaluable for both our children, especially during this pandemic. It ensured the kids kept learning everyday. Our youngest is in year 6 and thanks to his progress in both maths and English, goes into senior school with the confidence he needs, as he is currently 2 years above where he needs to be in the curriculum. Our eldest is in year 9 and in his words ' I would have fallen behind without the help of Kumon while we were learning from home'. As parents, you need to also put the effort in, but the rewards really do speak for themselves. Chen and the Kumon Team are always there for us and willing to help. He is a lovely, calm and patient tutor who on a 1 to 1 basis was excellent our daughter. I cannot ask for more than a fantastic tutor. They are beautifully teaching my daughter what to expect in her year group. They know what to expect in SATS exams and teach accordingly. The tutor is adjusting according to our flexible time. I can ask them to teach if my child is weak in any topic and they are happy to teach over again. All-over, I'm so happy with the tuition provider.

Our Son originally started a year ago (yr 3) to assist with his handwriting but he also has an appetite for learning, especially maths. He went from 'needing improvement' with his handwriting to becoming first in his class to receive a pen licence :-). He still attends weekly as he enjoys coming here and its a great way to stay on top of his learning getting that one on one time that schools just simply cannot provide. I highly recommend Love to Learn. Two of my children are receiving maths tuition once a week and have just completed the first term. The goal was for our children to start senior school with as much confidence as possible with their maths skills so they never felt behind others making this transition in their schooling. Howard carried out a rigorous initial assessment to ascertain their starting points, from which the excellent tutor (Grazia) planned a programme to support them specifically at their level. I'm very pleased that after their first session both our children said it was very worthwhile and enjoyable - I didn't anticipate this so was thrilled it was the case. Our children quickly developed their skills and confidence and as a result, achieved very well in their two first term assessments. This was a good confidence boost and has placed them in a good maths set. The tutoring is helpful, supportive, but also challenging which is essential for the children to achieve rapid progress. Love to Learn comes highly recommended.
