My daughter has been going to Louisa for over a year now. She was really struggling at school with her confidence so we wanted to give her some extra support with her learning. I am so pleased we found Louisa, my daughter has come on so much from attending her tutoring sessions and her confidence at school now is brilliant. Louisa has tailored a learning programme specifically for her based on her ability and this has helped her massively at school. Louisa is wonderfully kind and goes out of her way to make the learning process fun, friendly and supportive. She has created a lovely learning environment within a home setting. We have been so pleased with the English tutoring our son Sam received from Gavin. Thanks to Nicki and Gavin. It gave Sam just the extra boost and confidence he needed to make the improvements at a critical time and reach his potential . Whilst he was always a very able learner in most subjects we felt that his school wasn't quite able to support him enough with his English. Having an experienced male teacher seemed to also be a help to Sam and we are all so pleased with his GCSE results. In fact he progressed up 4 grades from one of his mock results with just a bit of help from Gavin.

A huge thank you to Nikki for helping our son achieve success in passing his 11+ exam this January. She spent time really getting to understand where his individual weaknesses were and giving him personally-tailored strategies to overcome them. This enabled him to tackle comprehension and writing exercises which he would struggle with even starting before. Her knowledge in verbal and non-verbal question types and the best strategies to adopt in answering these were also invaluable. Our son's confidence in approaching his schoolwork has also shown a marked improvement. Can't thank or recommend Nikki highly enough!

Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. We left it very late in the day to start preparing and Nicola agreed to tutor across the summer term and summer holidays - primarily using group work with additional one-on-one sessions on top. The transformation in our daughter’s confidence and attainment was amazing. The tutoring would have been worthwhile regardless of the outcome as not only has she achieved a solid pass in the 11+, she has also been really well set up to make a happy and confident start to year 6.

I highly recommend Nicola and her team they're amazing! Nicola has a unique and impressive teaching style. Aarzoo, is an great tutor and has been able to compact down GCSE maths (resist) topics too make them more understandable which has helped in my maths revision . Can’t thank Sumit and Aarzoo enough for the help and support they gave my son in preparation for his GCSEs last year, which undoubtedly helped him achieve a whole two grades above his expected grade in his final exams for Maths. Aarzoo helped him to understand the more tricky areas in a relatable way he could understand and therefore gave him the confidence when sitting his exams. I would like to thank Maria and her team for all support, effort, passion, and kindness of teaching my girls - Raya Y6 & Alexandra Y3. The girls joined Kumon 2 years ago and I can see the great effect of these Maths sessions. Their thinking is quicker, their organizational skills improved, they are more open to challenges, they are much more disciplined and confident in their studies. I believe the way Kumon works helped my kids not just with the simple calculation and repetition of the maths methods, but developing other skills as well. Highly recommend Maria and her team as they give everything and support kids on higher above the standards level. Our twins Anna & Maria started their Kumon journey from reception onwards.Which gave them a strong foundation on their Maths and English at school.I would say it wasnt easy,with lots of encouragement and discussion with the girls and their instructor Dr Maria woodford they started to show good progress.When they started to move up levels it was challenging at times.Lack of concentration and motivation was an issue.But Maria their instructor was always a call away to listen to their problems and always messaged back with solutions or followed back in class.Gradually they made excellent progress and currently doing Anna FI in Maths and G in English and Maria H in Maths and HI in English which is well ahead of their school curriculam. Their hard work and committment certainly paid off when the SATS results came this week .Both girls achieved "geater depth standard" in English-Grammer,Punctuation,Spelling and reading also in Maths, which is a scaled score of 110 or above for all. Maria the youngest of the twins got 120 the maximum score for English grammer and reading and 119 for her Maths.Her sister Anna also just behind her scoring well above 110.Very well done girls.We are proud of you both. Without the excellent support from their instructor Dr Maria Woodford and her team this wouldnt have happen.She taught our boys as well and they both doing academically well.Thank you so much Dr Woodford and her team. I would like to say if you are looking to start Kumon for your children,start as early as possible ideally in their early primary years.

Maria has been brilliant right from the start with my child. She made him feel welcome to the class and made Kumon exciting by being so positive and giving out lots of praise for even the smallest task. Even during lockdown she made a huge effort to keep the children in a schedule in a zoom class and my child has thrived and loved being a part of this each week.

I took my 5 year old daughter here for a free assessment following her end of year school report. My husband and I were very pleased that we were given honest feedback by Howard, who was thorough and professional. We were dubious as to whether or not our daughter’s abilities might be played down to encourage us to pay for future sessions, but I am delighted that this was not the case at all. I highly recommend Love to Learn. Two of my children are receiving maths tuition once a week and have just completed the first term. The goal was for our children to start senior school with as much confidence as possible with their maths skills so they never felt behind others making this transition in their schooling. Howard carried out a rigorous initial assessment to ascertain their starting points, from which the excellent tutor (Grazia) planned a programme to support them specifically at their level. I'm very pleased that after their first session both our children said it was very worthwhile and enjoyable - I didn't anticipate this so was thrilled it was the case. Our children quickly developed their skills and confidence and as a result, achieved very well in their two first term assessments. This was a good confidence boost and has placed them in a good maths set. The tutoring is helpful, supportive, but also challenging which is essential for the children to achieve rapid progress. Love to Learn comes highly recommended.

Both of my children are attending Maths and English classes. I am very happy with the Kip team. They tailor education plan based on individual needs, provide regular feedback about children's progress, and advice on how children can be supported at home. My daughter has only done 4 sessions and has achieved a great mark in her end of year Maths exam which we are delighted with, as it sets her up to have a confident start after the summer holidays in the next year. Kip McGrath is worth every penny in giving confidence and exam skills. My son also attended a couple of years ago for his Maths GCSE and I am certain would not have passed without the training he had here. A very clever and expensive private tutor for 2 years did not help him as much as Kip McGrath did. Highly recommended.

We used Acorn Tutors upon numerous recommendations during the unfortunate COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. Once it was clear that the Year 6 SATS were not going ahead we utilised Tom's experience and professionalism for twice weekly Zoom lessons for our son in preparation for starting Year 7 at a new much larger secondary school. Tom's professionalism and 'buddy' approach chats really helped him, and ourselves, through a difficult and frustrating time. Whenever they finished their lessons our son was full of confidence and spoke very highly of his methods. This company was recommended to me by several friends and I highly recommend them too. I have been using Acorn Tutors for over a year to support my children (12 and 10) with Maths and Literacy. The quality of the teaching is excellent, with innovative methods and clever use of technology to engage and enable children. The rapport that the tutor has built with my two (who are very different learners) is based on empathic understanding of children, and obviously a sound knowledge of psychology! I like that the tutor also took the time to email the children's teachers to liaise with them. As a typical boy getting him to sit down and study was always a challenge, however he never complained once about working with Tom to prepare for his SATs.
