“The best tuna toastie I've ever had! This place has a lovely feel about it. The staff are all friendly and approachable, the interior is cosy and warm. I love that you can bring dogs (I think more places should allow this!). I'll definitely be back :)”

“The food was exceptional, and whilst the staff were attentive, it was clear that we were visiting on a busy day. Our room wasn’t ready on arrival, (despite confirming a 5pm ETA, and running late) so we were gifted drinks in the bar, a good save, but when we did get in, the room could have been cleaner (the floor and curtains were super muddy), and was missing the finishing touches, cookies, etc. At £345 for 18 hours - one had hoped for perfection. However, the room was sumptuous, nice linens, toiletries and a good ambience. The restaurant staff were friendly, but slow, we asked for a couple of things which never came, and it took a long time to see a menu/order drinks… with a steep £25 service charge, we had expected better.”

“Great food. However, I called in early December to check if they were open on Christmas day, which they confirmed they would be. Its now 6pm on 25/12/2024 and they are not open.... my wife and I were looking very much forward to an alternative meal to the usual. Christmas day dinner totally ruined.”

“We went for breakfast today as a party of four. There was quite a wait for our meals from when we ordered but it is lovely surroundings. When my garden breakfast came I was disappointed that it was not very hot. I returned it and asked if it could just be re heated. The staff were very apologetic and instead cooked me a complete new breakfast and offered us all free drinks. This I believe was excellent service. As with most things, it can go wrong at times but they put it right without fuss. I would recommend this place very highly. And certainly come again.”

“I had prawns (one of the specials) which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Honestly couldn't fault it. Also really nice staff and dog friendly. Our dog can be a bit nervous of other dogs (and there were dogs at almost every table when we went) but the staff made us feel very welcomed and let us choose a good place to sit to suit her, and actually it all was totally fine, which I'm sure probably does have something to do with the nice atmosphere here. I wish we hadn't been so full from our mains because the desserts sounded very tasty. Maybe another time. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!”
