We decided to stop off at this delightful little café for a cuppa and a cake. The staff here were very friendly, polite and helpful. They quickly served are refreshments to the table and were keen to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The cakes were absolutely amazing and really delicious. Would highly recommend a visit, I am sure we'll be back when passing next.

Have to say, best breakfast I’ve had in a long long time. If I’m down this way again il be sure to stop here again.

Found this place on Google Maps after travelling home from Southampton last week. I had the Full English Breakfast, and it was great. The only issue was that it was a very hot day, so it was very warm in there, and I wondered why they didn't have the air-conditioning on 🥵

Super friendly staff, good quality food and fast service. Nice and clean cafe. Coffee is thumb up, Milkshakes are fantastic. Well recommended. A+++++

Saturday I had Chicken snitzel and my wife had the Haddock we both enjoyed the food. We returned on Sunday I had the Bacon belly and my wife had the scallops we both enjoyed so much so that I said complements to the Chef. Wonderful food. Good atmosphere and a craft shop too.

Found this place by chance after camping in the New Forest for the weekend. 100% recommend, a great menu and yummy food. I had the chicken and waffles and it came with a generous helping of maple syrup. The only thing I would change is serving the syrup on the side. I also had one of the best chai lattes I’ve ever had. Our dogs were made to feel welcome and were given treats by the staff. Thank you so much for a lovely breakfast!

I was treated to an afternoon tea at Kimbridge Barn by a wonderful friend in March 2024. What an experience. We were seated in the window in the sunshine. Staff could not be more attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. The scones were huge - the size of a large mango - but beautifully soft & delicious and served warm. The sandwiches were scrummy, the ham hock mayo my favourite. The sunshine melted the sour cherry chocolate bar as we weren’t paying attention! It too tasted wonderful. Will definitely come back when the weather warms up. The package included unlimited teas and americano coffee. Would have been nice to include one special coffee like a latte for the price, but small niggle.

Went on a Monday and got the vegan full Kimbridge - it was lush! The only “criticism” is that I’d have liked 1 more hash brown because they were perfection and there was waaaaay too much butter lol. But we will definitely be going back. The courgette fritters were fried to perfection. Great atmosphere, lovely location and the staff were very accommodating!

First time visiting The Wheatsheaf - Just had a Sunday roast which did not disappoint! Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Good selection of veg - brocolli, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, massive Yorkshire puddings. We had the cauliflower cheese on the side which was lovely, would definitely recommend. The roast beef was so tender and full of flavour, great portion sizes that none of us could finish. The pub itself is cosy and inviting, especially with their Christmas decorations up. The staff there were so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you - absolutely going back soon.

Excellent value. Very friendly staff. We had a different Sunday roast each which were extremely well cooked and generous in size.

My partner and I had a lovely visit to the Wheatsheaf and cannot recommend it enough. Due to the time we went, we only wanted a light snack and so had the Camembert sharing platter and it was delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming - a truly lovely pub.

Booked for lunch x 4… warm, pleasant surrounds, good proper pub ambience, attentive staff and home cooked food… with very ample servings. What more can you ask for? Much enjoyed my lamb chops followed by apple pie and custard. Pie of the day was excellent. Recommended 👍

Fab food..the homemade chicken and ham pie was great with the mash and veg cooked just the way I like. Didn't have to wait long for food either. Food was lovely and hot..we got there as it opened but was filling up fast as we left..very popular place..landlady was friendly and helpful..

Lovely food home cooked and could tel. Pre-book is my key piece of advice, they’re popular. Don’t be disheartened by the feel of the place, it is an old school pub vibe but the food is amazing quality.

We went to The Rockingham Arms after seeing a post on instagram, the Roast dinner was in my husbands words “the best ever” (no offence taken!). I will agree it was superb!

Our first visit was a delight! Just stumbled on the Rockingham as a half way point to meet friends and we had a great time. Really super lunch with fabulous food and very relaxed which we truly enjoyed. And then a very relaxed amble along the tracks beind the restaurant ... wonderful. Until next time, thank you all.

Incredible food! There were so many things on the menu that looked great, I'll have to come back! And such a cute setting as well, all the staff were lovely.

An incredible place - the best cheese scones since cheese scones were invented, and a host of other tasty things to have with a good coffee! Customer service goes beyond great… if you sit outside in the cold there are infra red heaters, hot water bottles and blankets to keep you toasty. Inside is great too. Even the toilet has piped tropical birdsong and a nice aroma. How’s that for attention to detail? I enjoyed a long and enthusiastic conversation with the chef/owner about his exciting plans to trial Sunday roasts. A richly deserving recipient of my “Go there at once” award :-)

The owners were so lovely and entertaining and their team are all warm and friendly. I think the hands on approach by the owners maintains a consistent high standard of service. It's their baby and they are rightly proud of it. The food is excellent ( for vegans and vegetarians too.) It's a buzzing atmosphere- not a "quiet coffee" kind of place. I recommend booking because everyone is discovering this place now and it's generally busy. The coffee is also excellent too. They allow well behaved dogs and even have a dedicated menu of dog treats. The outside areas are well sheltered with heating so lovely all year round. Pricing is really sensible for good quality food and drinks.

Lovely venue with wide range of brunch dishes. The sourdough, smashed avocado & poached eggs was generous. But egg whites & yokes were not cooked as whites slimey near yokes. I didn't complain but would if happens again. Deserve a 2nd visit as very busy so could of been a one of. My friend had eggs benedict & were OK.

Back in the Summer, they did the most amazing risotto, actually the best I’ve ever had, I kept coming back for more. Service is good as well. They were polite, and they made a fuss of my dog. Good pub all-round!

My wife and I came to the Three Tuns for Sunday Lunch today, 23rd February 2025. We both chose the roast chicken. It was absolutely superb/delicious/scrumptious even..11/10. Portion size was perfect as was the contrast between the rainy February day outside and the cheery log fire inside! A big 'well done' to the landlord and all his team! Thank you very much.

Absolutely delicious burger and chips. Staff were very friendly and helpful, pointing out the gluten free options on the pudding menu. Food came out quickly and couldn't fault it. Two clean plates. Would thoroughly recommend 🫶🏼

We visit every few weeks for a Sunday roast, one of the best we've had. Food is amazing, staff and service are fantastic. Dog friendly as well and just a great atmosphere for a nice Sunday afternoon.

This place is beautifully styled, and the food was lovely. The atmosphere was fresh, bright, and relaxed. Even the restrooms were spotless and well-designed. The dishes were served with great care, and the chef did an excellent job with each one. This place is worth visiting, and I'm happy we chose it.

The food was amazing! We had the chicken and mushroom pie and pork with parma ham and mushroom sauce, both absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly, polite and welcoming! Would recommend 100%!

The service was amazing and very friendly. The food tasted lovely, my only issue was I think the veg portion was quite a bit smaller than other local places for roasts, only one of my potato’s were crispy, and not much gravy is served- although you can ask for more for the table. But, that’s my only negative! The sticky toffee pudding was also delicious.

As a wedding photographer, I always enjoy working at The White Horse Hotel in Romsey. We stayed one night at The White Horse and it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the food was good quality, tasty and well cooked. The building has an interesting history and it is situated right in the middle of the town so extremely convenient for local amenities and places of interest.

A real homely feel to this venue. As soon as we walked in, the staff felt super friendly and attentive. Always popping to our table to make sure everything was good and our drinks were topped up. The food was top tier, some of the best that we've had. Camembert and sourdough was sensational. The ham, egg and chips felt next level, and the chicken dish was out of this world. The melt in the middle chocolate pudding was also one of the best we've ever had. If you're looking for a place in Romsey, come here!!

I opted for the roast lamb, which was cooked to perfection – tender, flavourful, and accompanied by the most delicious gravy. My partner chose the fish and chips, and it was hands down the best we’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and the presentation was top-notch. What truly set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. They even took the time to chat with us about the history of the pub, which added a lovely personal touch to our visit. To top it all off, the dessert menu was a dream. We shared a sticky toffee pudding that was simply divine – the perfect end to a fantastic meal.
