5/5 Experience at Unit Six! As a vegetarian, I often find it difficult to discover pizza options beyond the usual ‘Veg Supreme’ or ‘Hot’ varieties. However, Unit Six exceeded all expectations—not only with their incredible Tandoori Paneer pizza but also in every aspect of their service. Even if you're not vegetarian, I highly recommend trying the Tandoori Paneer—it’s absolutely fantastic! The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and approachable, making the entire visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was equally impressive—clean, comfortable, and inviting. I can’t recommend Unit Six enough, whether you're a vegetarian or not!

This place is great for eating. The dining area was very clean and had a nice ambiance. Basically, the food,service and place were great.

The menu offers a variety of unique and creative pizzas, each packed with flavour. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the combinations were both exciting and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a classic margherita fan or adventurous with your toppings, there's something for everyone. We went with their recommendation of paneer pizza! Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone in the area! I'll definitely be back for more

Popped in for a takeaway pizza today after seeing this new restaurant while driving past. Really tasty, stone baked style pizza and garlic bread. Very friendly staff as usual from the Premier which is attached. Would recommend.

Had a fantastic roast dinner here with our family, top marks were agreed all round! The bar has a great atmosphere and friendly/helpful staff. Featuring a bar area, restaurant area and a decent courtyard garden, the space is tastefully renovated. Our food was all very tasty; chicken, lamb, pork belly and chicken roasts were ordered, all of the meats were well cooked and flavoursome. My lamb was very tender, had some nice crispy edges but still melted in the mouth. The cauliflower cheese was VERY cheesy, don't get that often anymore so that was a decent touch. The bar offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus throughout the week also, I would enjoy trying the dinner menu one evening.

My first visit having recently moved into the area. I was very impressed by our Sunday roast lunch food quality and generous portion size, as was my guest. Service from the Owner and waitress was exemplary throughout. Good drinks and food menus. Excellent friendly atmosphere; full of couples, parents with young children and multi-generation celebrations. So pleased to have found a delightful eaterie walking distance of home....I shall be back!!)) ✅👍🤣🤣

What a smashing place, number 73 is. All the staff are very knowledgeable, and friendly and made our visit perfect. Apologies regarding the stater picture. We were hungry so bits were missing. BBQ burnt ends were busting with flavour. The prawns were juicy and the sauce was good. Highly recommend the bread and olives. To mop all the sauces up. Knowledgeable. Matt, the manager helped advise my friend regarding the way to have her steak cooked. Impressed, not just wanting to take our order and go. Making sure we fully enjoyed the whole experience. I had already asked the open-plan kitchen what they would recommend. The chef said the steak or the short rib. WOW! A perfect bowl of goodness. The beef was soft, juicy and plentiful. Sitting on some red cabbage that was both sweet and acidic completing the beef & the gravy.

Was skeptical before entering, BUT what a super place! The braised beef short ribs were sublime and the katsu curry vegan croquettes very tasty. The staff were so helpful and pleasant and even the Elvis entertainer was good( against all expectations- so well done to him too!!) we will definitely be going back, stayed a lot longer than we had planned and would recommend giving it a try!

Having grown up on School Lane, of course we know the Fox very well. But I don’t think I can remember a better experience over the many years than myself and my friends had this Sunday. Great friendly welcoming service and atmosphere, and even better food. We are so happy to recommend our local pub to all our friends once again.

Haven’t been to the fox and hounds for a while but heard there was a new landlord so thought we would go back and see if it’s any better. It is very much far better now than it was. the food was amazing, I had the lamb shank and it was perfect. The atmosphere was great and it felt very welcoming. Previously we always felt hurried out the door but now under the new landlord we felt relaxed and could enjoy our time there. He even came over and had a chat with us to see how we were getting on. Absolutely spot on and will 100% be going back in the future. It will be our meeting place when all back in Denmead for our meet ups.

Popped into the Fox and Hounds, Denmead for an impromptu roast. The landlord, Chris, was very accommodating and although they were busy and we were just passing through, they made space for us. We had wonderful roast pork and beef dinners. Loads of cauliflower cheese which was gorgeous too! Couldn't fault the team, really friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. The landlord shared he had some exciting plans for the place and wanted to deliver quality food. Based on our visit I’d say he’s doing an amazing job! We will definitely book ahead next time though as think he’s going to be really successful and very busy. Adding a bit of an edit on here. We went in again today in October as we enjoyed our meal so much before. The service was crazy slow this time. Table booked at 415 and didn’t receive our mains until 530. What made things worse was after a hour and a quarter of waiting three of us who ordered roasts didn’t have Yorkshire puddings as they had run out (we were surprised by this as not a difficult recipe esp given the time we had waited). The staff were very apologetic and discounted our drinks but we were left feeling a little sad. Overall a lovely meal again well cooked and great portions just very slow service and running out of food simply isn’t what you’d expect having booked a table for a set roast menu.

We have visited The Fox and Hounds pub in Denmead twice for lunch, and our experiences have been mixed. During our first visit, we ordered the ribs and a cheeseburger. The ribs were fantastic, served as four massive pieces in a delectable sticky sauce. However, the cheeseburger was quite the opposite; it was undercooked, potentially cooked from frozen, resulting in an unpleasant jelly-like texture. It was inedible, but to their credit, we received a refund. We hope that others do not encounter the same issue. Our second visit saw us sticking to the ribs, which we had enjoyed previously. Unfortunately, there was an issue with consistency. This time, there were fewer ribs, and the sauce had changed to what seemed like a red wine sauce, lacking the sticky texture we previously enjoyed. While the ribs were still served with salad and fries, there were numerous raw spring onions scattered on top. This was not mentioned on the menu, and while I had no problem eating them, my wife dislikes raw onions and found this addition unappealing. The Fox and Hounds is a community-saved freehouse with significant investment. While we found the drinks satisfactory, the inconsistency and quality of the food left us disappointed, and we have decided not to return for meals. Overall, the atmosphere and drinks are commendable, but the food, unfortunately, fell short of expectations.

What can I say about this place? The actual restaurant is beautiful, I especially love the booths so it feels nice and private. The staff were so good, attentive and answering all our questions. The food was fabulous. Reminded me of food I had up in the Midlands. Fresh, spicy, zesty and succulent. We know curries and this placed absolutely rocked!! Highly highly recommend!!!

I rarely leave reviews but I had to this time as no exaggeration this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. From the beautiful interior decor creating the perfect culinary experience to the authentic curry options to excite your taste buds! So many options to choose from and staff are super attentive. Nothing is too much ask. I will definitely be coming back again. Well done to the owners for the exceptional restaurant they’ve built and attentive services.

We were recommended into trying this restaurant and we weren't disappointed - absolutely delicious. The poppadoms & chutneys were fresh & full of flavour. Main courses included Lamb Tikka Massala, Naga chicken - both of which were everso tender. Garlic naan's were light, warm and beautifully flavoured. We all voted the Sag Paneer as outstanding. Service was polite, prompt & nit intrusive. Also they didn't automatically add a discretionary service charge, sonething that seems all to common these days- but the extra 10% they got from me was well deserved. An Indian restaurant well recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch with the family, staff very nice. Our two celiacs had gluten free Sunday beef roasts with no ill effects afterwards. Dog was very happy on his roll out mat by fire

We booked a table for 3 people last Friday night (after eating there a couple of months ago and finding it really good then). We requested a table out the back as one of our party struggles with noise for medical reasons and this was kindly accommodated without an issue. Friendly welcome and friendly service throughout. We all had 3 courses. Food came out in good time and was perfectly cooked - perfect portion sizes - just ticked all the boxes. The pub has a great feel about it. Small, cosy village pub. I’m lucky to live in the village and will always go back here and always recommend it to others.

I went with a group of people from our tai chi class. The Pub was very accommodating for us all and the food was superb. I had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to others 😁

We done the date night promo and it was perfect. Lovely staff, great price for drinks. The steak was beautiful 😍 £32 for 2 adults with a two course meal.

Great food, the Sunday roast was delicious and very good value at £12 would easily of commanded more ! Staff all friendly. Will definitely visit again

Staff were excellent in here, and the chefs got 20 or 30 meals out in one, piping hot, and at the same time. The staff were polite and served us with a smile. The food is reasonably priced, too. The only downside is just how loud it is. You can barely hear each other. It needs some large rugs on the walls and some carpeted areas under tables to try and dampen the sound. I'm surprised the staff haven't got damaged hearing! Anyway, overall, it's a great place to eat.

Our party of 6 dined here last night, service was quick, friendly and super efficient. We had a slight mix up with our table and in no time at all Steph and Tristan resolved the issue without any hesitation, and it was appreciated more than they probably realised The food for all our party was lovely, both starters and mains. We were regularly checked on for drinks and our table always cleared when necessary. To all the waiting staff, well done you made our first evening at your new venue thoroughly enjoyable and we will definitely be returning. Keep up the good work 👍

Only recently opened in the old NatWest bank site in Waterlooville town centre. Lovely seats and a bright modern look. Maybe could have been told it was bar service for food when we were shown to table but when the lunches came we were very impressed. We had the chicken club, brie/bacon and salmon panini's. Loved the music in the background and that they've kept the old bank safe doors in the toilets, lovely touch. Service was quick and staff were all friendly. Well done to the team, we'll definitely be back for breakfast lunch or dinner soon!

Amazing interior, great atmosphere, food was really tasty, especially liked the bang bang chicken and option of elderlower tonic. All the staff were friendly and super efficient. Would've liked to have seen the live music but we left at 19:45 so unsure if it started after. We will definitely be back!

Whilst I appreciate this is a brand new venue/establishment, it really is brilliant in every way. We had lunch, and can not fault anything. Food - amazing!! Wine - good selection, but not too much and very well priced. Service - second to none. Atmosphere - relaxed and classy. Lots of natural light, music that isn't too loud but can be heard clearly. All the staff are smiling and appear to very happy. I will be back to sample breakfast and an evening out too. This is just what the town needed.

Very welcoming, the staff make you feel like you're home from home. It's Very cosy in the snug and you never hear any foul language or swearing.

Amazingly, in one week I've discovered 2 truly genuine old style British pubs. The Forest of Bere is the second one. Wonderful old world charm, superb choice of drinks...and although on this visit I only sampled the Abbott's, the menu looked both good and well priced. Staff were very friendly...has sports channels and is currently showing The Six Nations. Well worth a visit...and it's on a bus route should you have that option. I'll definitely be back again.

Popped in for a drink whilst walking out dog as they are dog friendly. Greeted by friendly staff and management. Very dog friendly and a nice atmosphere inside the pub. We will definitely return.

Took the family here for Sunday lunch. Very very nice. Fantastic roast dinner. We had the lamb and the chicken, both were really nice. Lovely staff made it for us. Great atmosphere and the live music was a bonus . Recommended.

Great Sunday lunch Good variety of meat, veg and extras….great service from Ben…very prompt as we arrived just before a number of groups. Only comment - it’s could have been warmer but wasn’t so bd we needed to complain or return for reheating. Pud choice was good too.
