Along with my work Colleagues we went out for my Leaving dinner, it was a short notice to reserve but the staff managed to get us a space to occupy 20 Members. The ambience was so nice and the staff were really friendly. Food was amazing, you get half a price for a burger when u buy 2 on Wednesdays. Dessert was usual but so nice.

First time that we’ve stopped here on the way to Brockenhurst, food was absolutely amazing and lovely staff. Very reasonably priced as well considering the size of the portions. Will definitely stop here next time on the way thru.

Warmly greeted by Jolly Jay and her colleagues at the bar. Attended by Jess who took our order, she knew everything on the menu and was confident to recommend. Jess waited on us with a wonderful smile and good humour. Chloe served our desserts with delight, recommending the homemade brownies. Compliments to Ed the chef for serving delicious, quality home cooked food. Quality produce cooked well. It really was a pleasure to be served by staff that were genuine and happy, a team to be proud of. We shall return. Interesting to see that there is a monthly Pie, Pud and Quiz night - maybe we'll try that.

Warm welcome from the lady and her staff. This pub was full with every table having lunch, from dog walkers to people visiting the New Forest. The food was home cooked and so delicious we want to return in the future. Nothing was too much trouble, a dog bowl was brought to our table. There is an under cover outdoor dining area also. A small car park. Highly recommend this establishment.

Lovely pub/eatery set in the heart of the New Forest just on the outskirts of Lyndhurst. Food was delicious and reasonably well priced. The staff were excellent, personable, efficient and cheerful. We will certainly be returning. Highly rated.

Absolutely loved our stay here. This was the perfect place for our young family to explore the New Forest and was always a nice warm welcome back to at the end of each day out and about. The food is excellent (both adults and children’s menu) and the cosy pub with its open fires and great beers was the perfect place to relax after an eventful day exploring. We stayed in room 1 which overlooked the green so our daughter was able to watch the horses grazing and had plenty of room for us all. Thank you for having us and can’t wait to stay again.

Had an excellent evening meal here last week. While the food wasn’t Michelin quality, when added to the lively ambiance, super friendly staff, open fire and the feel of a genuine old-style community pub (a lot easier said than done) this is a winner. This part of the New Forest is blessed with decent pubs (like the New Forest Inn) but the Trusty Servant is up there with the best of them. Be careful with parking as it is easy to block a gate or driveway in the pitch darkness that descends on England by four in the afternoon at this time of year. Place is chilled.

thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. the skin on both were very nice & crisp. Chicken burger, steak and calamari. Mash and sausages were not quite there but the deserts were equally delicious. relaxed atmosphere. loved the idea in the desert to have an edible tiny pot with chocolate sauce. The tiny pot had a caramel taste.

We took a trip to Lyndhurst for a bit of trinket shopping and to explore the local charity shops, and along the way, we stopped at The Stag Pub for a Sunday roast. Even without a reservation, the staff managed to find us a cozy spot. Both my partner and I ordered the duo of beef and pork, served with stuffing, parsnips, and an exceptional cabbage dish with a hint of truffle—an unexpected delight! The meal also included cauliflower cheese, though they kindly swapped it for mac and cheese for one of us. Unfortunately, both dishes were a bit light on cheese, which was the only letdown in an otherwise wonderful meal. The portions were generous, and we left feeling satisfied, full, and very happy.

Had an amazing lunch at HH&Co today - the setting is beautiful, the team looking after us were exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious - cannot wait to come back!

This is one of my favourites. A lovely restaurant in a stunning location hidden in the New Forest. Went here for Mother’s Day and the had the Gnocchi for starter, Ox Cheek for main and Baked Alaska for dessert. It was gorgeous. Will definitely be back!

Katie did an incredible job as our server, but the experience was made even better with her accommodative approach.

We had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner here, and it matches or exceeds everywhere we ate on our holiday in Italy this year! The service was relaxed but very attentive, and the sommelier was superb, matching wines perfectly to our dishes. Each dish was faultless, from the gnocchi to the veal, paired with a wonderful glass of pinot noir. If we lived in the area we would eat here all the time!

In my 38.5 odd years on this earth that might be one of the top 3 culinary experiences I have enjoyed. Wonderful serving staff who feel like they go the extra mile for you. Also knowledgeable but happy to listen and then advise. The perfect balance. We had 4 wonderful cheeses (paid for one more) of a delicious board that included splendid charcuterie. We enjoyed the platinum white wine flight and the port flight....

Wow, what a treat! We'd booked in advance & were taken straight to our seat. It was my first time at Renoufs and the service was excellent, all the options were explained in detail including the delicious wine menu. Thank you so much to the brilliant staff. We look forward to visiting other Renouf locations in the near future.

Visited for a celebration. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable, the wine choices were perfect. Our server took her time to walk us through the ordering process and checked in on us several times. We ordered the ultimate board and added a baked Camembert and partnered it with a ‘ballsy’ Rioja and smooth Riesling and it was all amazing. Wine flights were available to upgrade the experience. Would be great to see the brand expand to more towns as a great alternative for a night out. I highly recommend a visit here for good food good drink and an amazing atmosphere. This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend who lives in the area. I booked a table for one as I was visiting the seaside on the day. Booking system is via texts/WhatsApp outside of opening hours (5pm it open on a weekday). The restaurant is right on the small high street so no parking available, however this spot is still a short walk from parking at the New Forest bit. First, I was asked leave as I walked in with my dog and was opting for the take away menu. As we were standing outside the owner popped out from the kitchen and greeted us and welcomed us in whilst choosing from the menu. Following this the waitress came back and offered us to stay in for a meal as that night (Wednesday) wasn't too busy. I sat with my dog by the window far from everyone else closed him in the corner with his treats and little rug. I was happy that I could stay with my dog in the end have a meal. I ended up having 2 starters and a soup as the duck dish I was after they didn't have. The crispy octopus was perfect, and the pork jerky wasn't too bad either. Tom kha was a bit too sweet to my liking, however the prawns were cooked well and had specialty mushrooms in it which was a great twist to the usual. All in all we had a great time after a long day at the beaches with the pup and just delighted that I didn't have to have a take away in plastic tubs in my car in the dark before driving back home.

Seriously, look no further. If you’re around here, this is the must-go places to eat! An unassuming little restaurant, with the most hospitable staff. I love how all age kids friendly they are (look at the presentation of the kids menu and hearty portion!). For adults, the menu is an absolute delight! Not your usual standard Thai options, but be adventurous. Take your pick. You won’t be disappointed!

An absolute delight! Chef Sutti is welcoming and knows what he's up to. We were there for a special event - a chef's table (5 course) specializing jn Northern thai cuisine and we came away happy, full and ready to go back. The portion sizes were perfect, with each dish carefully selected for taste, spice and different types of ingredients. They were paired beautifully one-after-another! I will be back !

I took my elderly mother here for lunch (she's 88yrs). Why? Because they do smaller portions for half price. Which for her was more than enough, and to be honest the smaller meal was plenty as well. We both had the steak and ale pie which was really tasty. Would I have it again? Definitely. Would I go back? Definitely. Do we recommend Waterloo Arms? Most definitely.

A fantastic find on our last day of the holiday. The pub had a really good feel of an old traditional homely pub. We had 4 mains, deserts & drinks. Excellent food, the trio of venison sausages were delicious. The different pies also fantastic and the apple & peach crumble very good. Great staff who were friendly and helpful.

We had a fabulous meal here , found through Google reviews and so glad we did. The service was great , food delicious with good sized portions, good atmosphere and the fact we could bring our dog was a huge bonus ! Will definitely visit again if In the area and highly recommend ⭐️

Very cosy place, service was prompt, for starters we had cheesy garlic bread and halloumi sticks which were DELICIOUS - the best garlic bread I've ever eaten. For mains we had mac 'n' cheese with bacon on top and chicken burger, again very yummy, the bacon on top of my mac 'n' cheese was the nicest bacon I've had 🥓 For pudding we shared sticky toffee pudding which was lovely aswell 😋 Highly recommend! 👌🏼

My wife and I stayed for one night whilst attending a show at Beaulieu. On arrival, the hotel blew us away. Car park entrance was easy to find and is obviously old. Car park is split on 2 levels and can fill up quickly. The front entrance into the reception area is beautiful with a library to one side. Booking in was quick, polite, and friendly. The bedroom was clean and functional although a little small ( but then it is called the snug) clean bath/shower with complimentary soaps/shampoo, etc, and a soft bed. The decor is tastefully done and keeps with the age and character of the building and is in good clean repair. After an afternoon in Lyndhurst (which is only a short walk from the hotel although there are some steep steps to navigate) we took advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktail deal in the bar which again were served by friendly and polite staff. We decided to have an evening meal in the hotel restaurant and on first impression was a warm welcoming area. We were seated swiftly, and it's from then on the night became problematic. Seated quickly, check. menu given, check. water offered, check. water delivered and order taken quick and efficiently, check and then.....forgot about. Bottle of wine ordered and eventually arrived halfway through my starters. The service was ok during our sitting but nothing special I feel for the price. My main meal was overcooked and was mentioned as our plates were collected by the manager who made no comment as he walked away examining the meat left on the plate. Towards the end of the evening, the room lighting can be a problem to read the menu (a couple resorted to using their phone light to be able to read it). On the whole, the restaurant experience was a letdown and over priced. Nearly £150 for a meal for two!!! but was helped at the end by Fay, who couldn't do enough for us, serving us coffee in the garden. Would we stay here again....possibly but I think we would make alternative arrangements for food

I didn't eat so can't comment on the food however my pint of moretti was one of the best I've had for a long long time. A pint too good not to capture. A well conditioned glass ready for the pint in a beautiful setting. Really nice referb. One of my favorite places to come on the very odd occasion I have a drink in lyndhurst.

Great hotel and location ,friendly staff made our stay memorable, check in was pretty easy on arrival, our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, only downside was the walls between the neighbouring rooms are quite thin so we heard every word coming from the couple next door to our room 207 just a polite notice from me is that the hotel should make guests aware or put a polite notice in the rooms for other guests to respect others that are trying to sleep. Breakfast was just fantastic too On a positive note yes we will return

and my wife stayed to escape the Christmas madness and it didn't disappoint. From the moment we arrived we loved the stay with all staff being excellent, especially the bar tender who was on Friday evening. The room we had (105) was clean very well decorated and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and was lovely with continental and fully English options. All in all a lovely place to stay and will be going back.

Lovely food and service but felt a bit cramped. Totally understand the more table the more money they can make, but i felt there could be a bit more room between tables. My father had to move the table to be able to get out as there was a chair touching his.

Haven't visited for a while until recently, nice to see it's still popular. Personally we thought the food wasn't quite as nice as previously, but by no means bad. The portion sizes are still good, we had 3 courses each and overall was good value for money. Staff are friendly, nice atmosphere. Good to support a local business

Absolutely amazing, the food was phenomenal absolutely phenomenal. Fast and very friendly service, clean and very atmospheric. Not a bad thing to say about this place... A rare all five star rating from me.

We have been coming here for the best part of 25 years now and is and has always been one of our go to restaurants. Last night 4 of us visited, the place was rammed as usual but our table was waiting for us. The menu is traditional with many items on it having been on there for the past 25 years but that is no bad thing. A decent sized menu with many main courses and separate pasta and pizza sections but it’s the specials that are always worth trying. Last night it was a starter of crostini with crab, chilli and lemon as a starter followed by sea bream with a bed tomatoes, olives and peppers and side veggies. Both were magnificent, stunning flavours and good fresh fish. I was pretty full but the desserts are a must here so the white chocolate praline with caramelised pecans and crème anglais was a no brainer and wow I loved it. Great place, friendly staff and always good service, despite me going home and complaining about how stuffed I was !!!

Great location on the way to Bolderwood deer viewpoint. The food here is always 10/10. We had the homemade pie on this visit and in my husbands words ‘it was the best pie he has ever eaten’! All staff extremely friendly, a special mention to Kayleigh and the chefs very considerate of my food allergy. We are looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend if you are looking for a friendly place to eat that serves great wholesome food.

First ever visit to the New Forest Inn and we really enjoyed it. Nicely situated on the outskirts of Lyndhurst. It's a cosy hostelry with a lovely fire going which adds to the atmosphere. The food was excellent, well presented and delicious. The staff were most friendly and helpful. Thumbs up to Amelia for her great customer service.

Me and some family were in the New Forest and thought we'd go for a drive and stop somewhere for a drink. Very happy to have stopped here. Walking in to this traditional style pub, you're met with county aesthetics & decor, and the comforting smell of woody smoke from the fireplace. Along with a comparatively modern conservatory like dining area at the back. Sadly, we didn't dine here, accept for a few bowls of golden, crispy, fluffy chips. There is a great selection of drinks available. I went for a pint of Exmoor Gold. The beer was definitely well kept and conditioned, served at the right temperature. Amelia was a delightful, attentive and knowledgeable host. I enjoyed talking with her about the pub and the beers. She promoted the other ales available, graciously letting us sample them. I have to mention the garden. Probably one of, if not, the nicest pub gardens i have been in. I'm sure I will be back again in the future. Would love to stay and experience their accommodation. To me, this gorgeous country pub, perfectly encapsulates the New Forest.
