From entering the restaurant to leaving everything was perfect. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was superb. The pilau rice was proper pilau rice with infused spices instead of the usual steamed rice with dots of food colouring. The Gurkha curry was a delight with layer upon layer of spicy flavours. The highlight of the menu for me were the momo starters. A perfect marriage of spicy mince, delicately steamed dough and a spicy dip. We will return!

A super local gem of a restaurant. I have been lucky enough to visit Nepal and sample the amazing food there first hand, this place feels like I am back there. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere and a real favourite of ours now.

We came in to dine in the Gurkha Restaurant, as it was our first time trying Nepalese food. It was me and my wife 12 year anniversary. I must say it was completely different to other indian restaurants we tried. It was not oily or greasy at all. The flavours were perfectly infused with the correct amount of masala and heat. Me and my partner throughly enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a free dessert for our special night. What's more interesting is they host weekly event on their Facebook page. Thank you so much Fewa Inn staff for the warm hospitality.

We've been fortunate to have been twice and both times have been exceptional. The food is exquisite, the tuna was unbelievable. The atmosphere is warm welcoming. Can't recommend it enough.

Recently, myself and two friends had the pleasure of dining at Maison. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and at home by the very friendly hosts. The menu tasting was a great way to experience the chef's skills and food flare. Maison had to offer. We were spoiled with a variety of delicious dishes that were cooked to perfection. The flavours were incredible and the presentation was exquisite. The highlight of the meal was the chicken. It was cooked to perfection and was the best we had ever had. The desserts were also a highlight, with a range of flavours, colours and delightful surprises. I have Coeliac (gluten free), and the chef was more than happy to accommodate my dietary requirements. He even went above and beyond, making "the best" gluten free bread just for me. This was a really nice touch and made me feel very special. Overall, our experience at Maison was fantastic. The food was outstanding and the hosts were very friendly. The price was also worth it for the quality of the food and service we received. I would highly recommend Maison to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you again and look forward to dining with you again in the coming months. I had been waiting to come here for months and it did not disappoint. You are greeted with such a warm welcome. It is such a beautiful place with a lovely, warm atmosphere. Big thanks to both Ben and Lornette. The food was incredible, I had never been to a place like it or eaten food like it before. It was considered, delicious and refined food. Lornette is so friendly and professional at the same time, she has it down to such a fine art. Service and food was impeccable. I absolutely cannot wait to book to come again.

Difficult to say how brilliant this restaurant is. Special in every way and can’t think that we have ever eaten a more amazing lunch. So fabulous that we made another reservation before we left!

Tucked away in Liss just off the A3 is a really great restaurant waiting to be found. Some really solid and interesting cooking using some great ingredient’s. Canapés of Beetroot Arancini and Choux pastry with Parmesan was lovely and savoury. My starter called Oxtail puff was a Pitivier style puff pastry filled with shredded soft rich oxtail in the most delicious onion veloute….this was truly delicious, smooth and rich full of flavour and topped off with a slice of duck foie. The main of saddle of venison was cooked beautifully served with turnip and preserved plum and a small crisp samosa filled a rich stronger filling. We Finished on a beautifully light rhubarb soufflé served with a great rhubarb sorbet and torched lemon tart. The restaurant it self is small and seats about 16-20 and you feel like you have stumbled upon a hidden gem tucked away in the country side that people are keeping quiet.The service was relaxed and informal….pouring your own wine/water isn’t a problem. Places like Nathan’s don’t usually last long but they have proved that serving great food in an intimate setting works ….Go it’s well worth the effort…They have a strong following so booking a table can be a challenge.

There are insufficient superlatives to describe the quality of food, service, and the overall atmosphere at this remarkable restaurant. Thanks to Evi, who runs the front of house, and Nathan, the world class chef for an excellent dining experience.

What a divinely tantalising selection of flavours for the taste buds and eyes! Nathan and Evie provide a relaxed setting with exquisite food. Absolutly the best of the best and they live up to every expectation of their impeccable reputation ! Friendly, warm and marvelous in every way. I wish I could give you 10 stars. The best roast dinner around. We love coming here, the art work in the restaurant really adds to the ambience and is always a conversation starter. We've never had a bad meal at The Hanger, everything we've tried has been delicious and the service is great

A very pleasant modern country pub that combines a classic pub decor with a large neo-minimalist conservatory. The food was excellent. I had a beef burger with pulled pork. This burger combines a juicy beef patty with tender, smoky pulled pork glazed in tangy sauce. Nestled in a toasted brioche bun with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, each bite bursts with rich, savory flavor and perfect texture. Perhaps there were too many pickles though. They could improve the selection of beer, as I found the choice lacking, and there was no beer I was truly happy with, especially for the extortionate prices . Hence the 4 star. They are dog friendly, tails wagged in every corner. Making everyone feel happy. Overall, worth a visit.

Called in at The Hanger while walking in the area and looking for somewhere to stop in with our dogs Immediately upon arriving we were made to feel welcomed, reassured that our dogs (although a little mucky) were welcome, and shown to a seat in the bar area. Our drink orders were taken immediately and food menus supplied. The waitress was the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing and seemed to know the menu very well, offering her recommendations when we were unsure. The food was absolutely incredible, both myself and my Mum had the soup of the day (nettle and potato) and I'd be hard pressed to think of a soup I've had out that's nicer. I then had the spectacular steak and ale pie, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Definitely worth calling in on the way past, and we will be coming again (even if it means travelling to do so)

Previous visits were disappointing, but we thought we'd give it another go as it's under new ownership. Not disappointed the food and service were excellent. Really interesting and innovative menu, beautifully cooked. We'll definitely be back soon.

We arrived without a table booking on a very busy Sunday, with 3 dogs in tow. They managed to offer us a lovely outdoor, heated seating area, so we could have lunch. Portion sizes were enormous (the dogs got the leftovers), food was delicious and served nice and hot. There was atleast 3 choices of meat on offer for the Sunday roast, along with a great choice of other mains. Typical gastro pub pricing, around £15-24 per main for adults. Whilst we were there 4 horse riders turned up for hot chocolate and chips, and the landlord bought carrots out for the horses. So definitely dog & horse friendly.

Out of the way place, but so so pretty esp the beer garden. Went for the chalk water trout was not disappointed & will be coming back again soon!. Unfortunately, it was a Monday & service was quite slow, hence the 4 stars. I'm going to go for a weekend brunch next time in the near future to see if service is different. Cocktails were great, too!. Would recommend & will go again. TO ADD been a few times since my initial review. They're recruiting if anyone's looking for a job. There were more staff, hence my rating going from 4-5. The food is delicious & I'm trying to work myself through it all. I had the venison pie of the day from the special's menu. A fabulous celebration for my mum's 80th, the team at the Deers Hut were very accommodating and made us very welcome. The food was delicious and served promptly and accurately. A good wine selection at fair prices too. As a group of 18 diners, this can be a challenge. Thanks for helping us celebrate!

Came back to the Deers Hut to celebrate my husband's birthday we have been several times in the last few months. The meal was lovely as always. But we did feel we were almost forgotten once we had our main , and by the time anyone came back to ask us what we wanted for pudding we changed our mind and just had a coffee . Which we ended up ordering at the bar . I do appreciate being a Sunday they were busy . But we were definitely forgotten.

We visited for the first time as we were in the area and looking for a main meal. There wasn't many reviews on this pub so we took a punt. First thoughts were great choice of food on the menu, so many delicious meals to choose from and great selection for the kids. The food was fantastic! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Also they had a bookshelf with games and colouring for the kids which is a great touch. At first we commented how nice it was to have fresh water put on the table without asking, however they added £3 onto the bill at the end for the water which is wrong, considering we didn't realise or get told this. That is the reason for the 4* and not 5. And also the fact dogs are allowed and a breed I am severely allergic to was sat on the table next to us, so we did have to hurry our food down to leave. Also we did say thank you and bye to the (what I assume is the landlady) and we were ignored.

Had a great Sunday Roast here. My wife and I had the Nut Roast which was superb. Nice and moist etc. and the whole meal was very pleasant. Great friendly attentive staff all round too. Would happily return.

We held a wake here and were really impressed. The buffet food was lovely, everyone was very helpful and the venue was a great place for guests to relax and mingle. The pub garden was also lovely on a rare sunny day in March.

We booked a table last minute and arrived for dinner as a group of 4. The service was great, good absolutely delicious, would 100% come back. There's a really good vegetarian selection on the menu! Very generous portions.

Enjoyed lunch yesterday. Fantastic food. Best fish and chips ever ! Fresh , hot and very tasty. Lovely warm and cosy with the log fire on. Great to sit in there after a walk in the village. Friendly bar staff. Excellent service. Must visit again soon.

Rory and Rae provided great service and were extremely friendly. The ribs were absolutely delectable and would love to have them again. Both the service and the food could not be better and will be highly recommending this pub to my friends and family. Please if you have the chance come to this pub

Lovely one night stay yesterday. Fish & chips and roast beef for dinner were very tasty with good sized portions. Shared a waffle and ice cream for dessert, very nice. Comfortable room and good choice for breakfast. Staff were friendly and service good. Will back in the summer for a braai. Good undercover seating in the garden

We had our company Christmas meal at the White Hart last night, 24 people. The food was incredible and we didn't have to wait long for them to serve everyone together. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was ok for drinks between courses and anything else we might need. The organisation before the night was fantastic, great communication and very friendly - Thank you Stephanie!

The food is just amazing, it tastes fantastic - especially their sauces. We travel 30/40mins from Basingstoke just to eat here, therefore, I would strongly recommend this place. We tend to ride our motorbikes, grab food and then eat it around the corner @ Hogmoor Inclosure on the picnic benches.

After hearing such fantastic things about Greco Grill, I finally managed to get there today! I'm so glad i did and was not disappointed. The food was amazing! We had the Chicken Yee-ros and Lamb Souvlaki which were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend enough! It was also super quick too! The staff were so welcoming and efficient.

Found this absolutely Authentic Greek Takeaway when visiting the area. We actually went both nights in a row. The staff, or rather Family are brilliant. So friendly and helpful. I can honestly with hand on heart say this is Absolutely AUTHENTIC Greek food. We lived there a very long time so speak from experience!!. The taste and flavours and the smell of the charcoal grill is heavenly. It was lovely to meet everyone and spend time there. Excellent products and excellent quality. Service outstanding, cannot fault anything about the whole experience. Crazy good value for money with generous portions. Will definitely be back there . Φιλάκια Joyce x

A beautiful location for a bite to eat and a spot of shopping. We visited over the Christmas weekend for a celebratory afternoon tea, celebrating my birthday, our daughter’s wedding and Christmas. There is an abundance of parking and the locate is in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. The barn was decorated for Christmas, the food was plentiful and delicious, the staff were lovely, keeping our tea pot topped up after our glasses of Prosecco were empty. Would we come again? Most definitely!

A nice, hidden-away little complex of shops with a lovely restaurant serving delicious food. The shops offer a great range of unique home decorations and gifts. The restaurant and shop staff were friendly and accommodating.

Magical place to go at Christmas, especially. Beautiful building, setting, fantastic views of the countryside around. The staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Especially Lottie who served my Mum and I, a credit to the Company. We really enjoyed our food, served promptly, piping hot and with a smile. The gift shop is amazing too! I live two hours away, but we are already planning our next visit in the Spring, which I know, will be equally special. Thank you to all.

Great food and plenty of it! Go out of your way to try out Creative Kitchen at The Shed. Really impressed by the curry goat, tender and incredibly delicious. What's more the portion size is very generous. Couldn't be more satisfied, especially for a very reasonable price. Curry, rice and peas, plantain, coleslaw and two dumplings for £11! Definitely worth checking out. Treat yourself.

Love this place! I'm moving to whistlewood on Saturday. We popped up to see the house Saturday gone, and we went for a drink in the Tap and grabbed food in Issaya. Had a lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to spend more time here with my family.

The Shed is a really cool place to go. There is a few places to choose from to eat and there is a bar for a drink after. Its dog friendly and there is a green area where you can sit outside if the weather is nice. Free parking for 2 hours aswell
