Our absolute go to restaurant. It’s our favourite place and we’ve been many times over the years. We’ve been to lots of Michelin starred restaurants and Docket is absolutely up there for us! We always recommend Docket to friends and family. Amazing food, service and atmosphere from Stuart, Fran and the lovely team. We cannot wait to come back again and again!

What a fabulous restaurant - we had a truly wonderful meal here last night. We had a family incident before and were late, and the staff was so accommodating and kind. When we arrived, we had very cosy table, the staff were so incredibly friendly and warm and the food was out of this world. Every dish was mouth watering and the portion sizes were perfect. What stood out for us was how exceptional value it was. We would highly, highly recommend and will be coming back!

This was a first class experience at Dockett 22 in Whitchurch with excellent service. The food was exquisite, varied and presented beautifully. The service was the right balance of attentive without being intrusive and each course was described with just the right amount of information. The birthday card and unexpected additional dessert with a candle was thoughtful and added to the experience. Highly recommended.

On September 7th, we celebrated our anniversary with my boyfriend at Docket Restaurant. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with impeccable hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with pleasant lighting and an elegant yet modern interior. The staff was very friendly and attentive. As for the dishes, each one was a true work of art. Our tasting menu consisted of 10 dishes, each unique and incredibly delicious. I was especially impressed by the presentation of the roasted tomatoes in tomato essence—an unforgettable taste. The dish that my boyfriend enjoyed the most was the steamed halibut, dusted with nori powder, resting in a light crème fraîche sauce, accompanied by turnip, black barley, and puffed wild rice. The soft, flaky fish paired perfectly with the crunch of the wild rice, while the creamy sauce balanced the earthiness of the barley and turnip. Each element complemented the other, creating a wonderful mix of textures and flavors. At this point, the restaurant had already exceeded our expectations; we were very satisfied with the food and the experience, but it turned out there was more to come... The final dish was brought to us and presented by the chef himself, which pleasantly surprised and delighted us, and he also congratulated us on our anniversary. And that wasn't all 🤤 because later we were served a special dessert with a lit candle, and the staff congratulated us on our anniversary once again. It was very touching—we made a wish and blew out the candle. This was a special and unforgettable experience for us. I'm very happy my boyfriend chose your restaurant.

There's nowhere as good in my opinion ...in The World!! We are regulars I admit, but yesterday we met up with Cheshire friends and had the best meal we've had out together in a long time. As pointed out above Food, Service and Atmosphere are all FIVE STARS 🤩. Trying to book a table for either Lunch or Dinner..is testament in itself ...try it 😜

I've been eyeing up this restaurant to go to for a long time and everytime I've driven past it it's busy. I've heard others recommend it and I finally went with friends yesterday. Exceptional Italian food. Really great flavours, came out within half hour which is reasonable considering they were full. I had pizza which was great, and my friends had the mushroom risotto and a tagliatelle dish which was very generous. Tiramisu for dessert was so good too! Lovely staff and service. Reasonably priced. I'll certainly be back! Also lots of vegetarian options for my friend which was great.

Really lovely Italian restaurant. The food is exceptional (vegetarian options clearly labelled) with very generous portions, the atmosphere is welcoming, the service is great. Had a really lovely late Sunday lunch with my parents. First time in a long time I have felt the meal was actually value for money. Note booking is essential, several months in advance!

There is no doubt this is an exceptional family run Italian restaurant with first class food on every occasion. The dining experience is very good and the food good value. The only aspect not fully 5 star is the exceptional long wait you can experience for food which can often be up to an hour. Most people don’t mind waiting for freshly cooked food, but up to an hour is a little excessive. I have experienced this and observed others who have had to check where their order is. Otherwise this is a full deserving five star experience.

This was from last November. The food that James produced was outstanding! Along with Jo the sommelier and the wine pairings it made this visit incredible. What makes it more interesting is that you haven't got a clue what's going to be on the menu!

Just amazing. Perfect level of attentiveness from staff, atmosphere pitched just right between quiet and noisy (enjoyed listening to post-OK Computer era Radiohead all night!) and the food was incomparable. Every dish was a new and surprising adventure for the tastebuds. Never would have picked Whitchurch as a culinary hotspot but Wild Shropshire is single-handedly making it so.
Rating: 5 / 5
Absolutely amazing experience! Never had a tasting menu where we've enjoyed every single course until coming here. James seems to really care about the customer experience and is obviously very passionate about the food that he cooks - understandably so! Jo was also amazing and really helped to make our evening worth remembering with some great wine recommendations. Can't wait to come back and would recommend to anyone!

We have been to Wild Shropshire a couple of times becoming one of our favourite restaurants. The food is creative and delicious with the bonus of an alcohol free creations flight which is an experience in itself. Already looking forwards to our next visit.

Superbly friendly welcome and service throughout our dinner. We ordered the "B" sharing dinner for 2. Starters were okay, and the mains excellent. Very good presentation of the food. Good tasting beers, too. You won't leave hungry. This was a repeat visit, and we will be back again.

Good and informative experience. Tour starts off with trying cocktail and video clip of around 15min in their new cinema hall. Then we go around distillery, wonderful views as well. Worth the money.

Amazingly innovative and well-designed distillery. Through the guided tour we learnt about the fascinating architecture, the history of the distillery, made ourselves freshly tapped gin-tonic and got to know a lot more about gin thanks to our wonderful, dedicated and funny guide, Chloe. It is the perfect program if you’re in the area!

Phenomenal! I’ve wanted to visit for a while and I am glad we got to finally experience it. Our tour guide was Luke who was highly enthusiastic, funny and knowledgable. It ended with a gin masterclass with Ellie, who was witty, knowledgeable and engaging. After enjoying the cocktails we made by the stream, we visited the gift shop and fell victim to some tipsy present purchasing for Christmas. There was a young Asian lady (sorry, didn’t catch her name!) in the gift shop that allowed us to try different samples to help support my purchasing, and a friendly gentleman called Tyler who engraved my gifts. Overall, the experience was unique and definitely one to recommend to friends (already done this haha). Thank you for making this so special!

What a great tour and great place to visit. The bar and cafe fit in perfectly with the tour. The master class package was more than expected. Starting with a tour the guide Luke was so pationate and knowledgeable. He became known as Ginny Wonka as he took us around. Then onto the cocktail making class which again surpassed all expectations. Best not to drive if doing this tour.

Short walk from Pepper Street Rooms, recommended by owner. Traditional style pub, wooden beams, floor, etc. Had the fish n chips and scotch egg with an amber beer and golden pale ale. both dishes were excellent. Really enjoyed both the food and ambiance. Highly recommended.

An excellent, friendly, clean pub with superb food and excellent ales. Service was friendly and first class. We had the roast beef and roast pork. I can't remember the ale but it was the local brew. If you're looking for the British pub with good food and great ales then try The Black Bear.

A warm welcome from all the staff. Food was fantastic and would highly recommend it to family and friends if they were in the area. Will definitely return. Also had outside seating area with lovely garden. Visited again this year, and the food and staff are still as amazing as ever. Look forward to calling in again when I'm passing. The garden is so relaxing and beautiful with plenty of sitting areas, dogs welcome. Aug 2023, Another great visit to the Black Bear, fantastic meal which was well cooked and presented and we all thoroughly enjoyed. The pub is in a lovely location and kept very clean . The lovely Beer garden at the rear is lovely on a good day. All the staff were extremely helpful . I look forward to be returning again in the near future. Keep up the good work. X

A lovely place. The decor was very smart, clean, and looked new. The food was well presented and tasty. I had the small fish and chips, which was more than plenty. The batter was the best I've ever experienced, very thin and not greasy at all. There is a lovely rear garden, quite surprising with plenty of seating, beautiful planting and a hidden gem on a sunny day, loved the sunflowers. Toilets were immaculate and the staff very warm and welcoming and pleasant. We will definitely go back.

Outstanding quality of food and lovely location. I have never eaten better fish (fish and chips, although I'm not a chips fan) anywhere and believe me, I've eaten a lot. We also had the beet root and goat cheese salad which was a poem in itself - absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!!!

What a GREAT find!! This is a lovely county pub with B&B rooms, some above the pub and the others in the outside / garden area, adjoining the pub. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was lovely. The food at dinner was DELICIOUS, great portions and every course was delicious, we didn’t have breakfast but I am sure it would have been great too!! There’s a big, free onsite car park which is very convenient . If we are ever in this area again, I would not hesitate to book and stay here - I’d like to book a Sunday next time so we can sample their delicious roast dinners! All of the staff were great, very friendly, bubbly & very accommodating - THANK YOU ☺️

We went to Amore for Valentine's Day after hearing good things about it, the food was one of the nicest meals out I've ever had and the staff were super friendly, would definitely recommend to others 😊
Rating: 5 / 5
Amore restaurant were absolutely amazing for our daughter’s 9th birthday. They happily hosted fifteen children on a Sunday afternoon and the staff were incredible, they couldn’t have worked harder for us or been more helpful. The kids all ate from the kids’ menu; the food was fabulous and the bill at the end incredibly reasonable. They let us bring balloons and decorations, and were happy for us to take a cake and do a quiz for the kids between courses. A wonderful place to have in the village. Thank you, Amore, the birthday girl said it was the best party ever!

We visited Amore for my mother's birthday meal. This is the first time we have been and we were not disappointed. We were surprised at how far back the restaurant goes, there is plenty of space. It has a lovely atmosphere with classic Italian background music. The staff are friendly and attentive. A great choice of dishes to choose from and the potions are big so you won't go hungry. Pricing is reasonable. I had a starter, main and small dessert along with two appletiser drinks which came to £35. We will definitely be returning.

We went for dinner on Valentine’s day and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was great. It felt very authentic and the pricing is more than fair. The menu has something for everyone and the portion sizes are spot on. We will definitely be visiting again some time soon

Delicious authentic Indian food located just off the centre of town. Their menu offers a very wide selection, so there’s definitely something available for everyone. The lamb biryani was very flavoursome as was their butter chicken. Hearty sized portions meant we left feeling very satisfied.

We went for dinner here on a Thursday night. Customer service was spot on. They made a customised dish for me that I asked for with no problems. The food was delicious. The restaurant has a lovely colour changing bubble wall which was a nice touch to the place. Clean and tidy. Plenty of staff to accommodate and friendly The seating could do with an upgrade as the material was flaking but apart from that, a lovely restaurant. Will definitely be returning.

Food was delicious, nice varied menu and very reasonably priced. We had a starter, main, pudding and one alcoholic drink each which with a 10% service charge came to just over £50 a head. Lovely welcoming Staff from the get go!! The Brooks Bistro salad isn’t just a salad….its a filling concertina of flavours. Prosecco with the bottomless brunch was fresh and fruity and didn’t taste like the mediocre bubbly often used at other restaurants. Thank you for a great lunchtime x

Spent a wonderful New Years Eve at the Brook Bistro. We always enjoy coming here as the food is great and they are very dog friendly. 3 course meal at £49.95pp was good value for money but a glass of spritz/mocktail on arrival would have been a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (scallops, monkfish, lemon posset). My lemon posset was slightly runny at the bottom, don't think it was quite set. The flavour was gorgeous though. Overall, we loved our evening and would consider spending new year's eve there again.

Me and my partner came here for brunch and we were both blown away by how good the food was. The staff were kind and attentive, the seating and atmosphere was comfortable and warm and the food was outstanding. They even had Big Thief and Sufjan Stephens playing in the background so they get extra points for great music taste also. Highly recommend, can't wait to return.
