A really nice place with friendly attentive staff. All the food was great but the lamb meat was out of this word, melt in your mouth tender deliciousness! can't recommend it enough.

Went here for the first time the other week, wasn't sure what to expect but had seen all the 5* reviews online. The reviews definitely matched our experience. We went for the platter for 2-3 people for £56. This was lovely food and good value for money and was enough between the 2 of us! Staff were lovely and fast service as we went mid week. We will definitely be back and glad this great place is local to us. 🙂

Popped in for a light lunch and had a delightful feast! The lunchtime menu had a great choice and we had a beautiful selection of dishes. The staff were polite and attentive, and our food was served quickly. Will definitely return again.

What a wonderful experience on my birthday. We have never tried a Turkish restaurant, so on my birthday I suggested we try one out. We chose Yaprak because of the reviews and OMG, we made the best decision! Service was excellent and swift, food was absolutely delicious and we were looked after by Annette, who was a marvellous host! I will visit with some girl friends and definitely with my family again.

Best roast dinner I have had out in ages. Excellent service, and amazing food. Very well priced. Never waiting long for your meal and always well placed between meals. Can’t recommend highly enough

Waterside Gateway had their New Year meal for 63 people at The Boathouse. Everything was amazing from the meals to the service and the friendly staff. Thank you to all at the Boathouse we all enjoyed the day.

The reception and ambiance of the restaurant was great. The lighting and decor definitely elevated the experience as well as the view from the restaurant. The cocktails we had were perfect as I didn't want something too sweet and the waitress recommended the perfect cocktail to me. Their signatures were unique and I would want to go back for them alone! The food was but no means bad, I'd only give it 4 stars though as it was not mind-blowing with amazing flavours. But I will say that it is Asian fusion really well done. My highlights were the duck pancakes, chicken and egg-fried rice. Tried a little of the Hazelnut dessert and wish I ordered myself one! Definitely one to go back to.

Wow wow wow!! From start to finish, an excellent experience of Asian tapas and fantastic wines: we cannot wait to visit again. Blue Jasmine had been on our radar for a couple of months to try. An easy, flat, 10/15 minute walk from West Quay, we incorporated visiting for Saturday lunch after a shopping morning. An absolutely beautiful setting in Ocean Village, Blue Jasmine offers a stunning bar, terrace and restaurant overlooking the yachts of the marina and beyond. A warm welcome from all and we started with a drink at the beautiful bar /lounge area before moving into the restaurant area; Warm woods, stunning lighting, cosy booths, attention to detail and of course, the view !! Service was top notch with helpful recommendations of how much to order and we settled on seven or eight dishes between the four of us. We chose some of the usual traditional offerings such as crispy duck with pancakes and spring rolls plus some new dishes (to us) such as honey and lemon chicken with the addition of pomegranate, Salmon Massaman and a Thai roasted chicken with tamarind and mint dipping sauce and Himalayan Pink salt. Salivating at the memory of that dish. By their recommendation we had a bottle of Italian red that somehow magically went with all the dishes we had. (A Barbera D’Asta, which was exclusive to them ) . Service was warm, welcoming and attentive throughout, we felt really valued and appreciated: I really can’t speak highly enough of the place and cannot wait to go back. You can easily set this as the place for either an easy going but top notch light lunch, as well as a THE place for a special occasion due to sumptuous setting and decor, and food and wine to warrant making a special trip for. Seashells is a real favourite. We booked view of the pier and shore for 6 adults. The specials were impressive. Great staff, well trained and attentive. The steak pie was excellent and my friend loved his fish pie. All served with chips if you want. Their coffee is great. The Baguettes are yummy.

My friend and I had a lovely meal tonight, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food tasty. The staff were friendly and attended to us quickly throughout our meal. Highly recommend!

We love seashells wonderful staff attentive and always smiling. Our food tonight was simply delicious, perfectly cooked and presented. The chocolate brownie is heaven on a plate. Love the new decor bright and fresh with lovely firmiliar views over the river. We have never been unhappy with the food or service at Seashells. We went to a Michelin star restaurant for our anniversary a total disaster and said we should of gone to seashells....enough said

AMAZING! If you have an allergy please come eat here! They don’t have those silly allergy menus but instead their own separate dairy, gluten exc menus so you feel included in the meal instead of being that one person scanning through each item in that silly flip book! Food is also super fresh and tastes 10/10. Constantly changing their menus and have beautiful views if you can grab a window seat!

I was recommended Alam spice , im from middlesbrough and curries up our way always good , but i must say !! I got lamb madras and sag aloo , didnt do chapatis , but no matter , gorgeous curry tender lamb and a great sauce , sag aloo was also good , i thoroughly recommend this takeaway

Local, traditional fish and chip shop. Can’t fault it - food is delicious and fresh; price point is very reasonable; staff are efficient and friendly; menu is huge (in a good way - vegan and veggie options available). 5 mins from Lepe Beach so perfect for a beach picnic. Five star worthy for sure!

Ordered lunch special fish and chips for £4.50 (Feb 2023). I wasn’t expecting a huge piece of fish, but the fish was a decent size and freshly fried. Not a huge quantity of chips, but adequate for a lunch special, and very tasty. Definitely will visit again when visiting.

Birthday meal recommended at Amalfi! Glad we took the recommendation. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff. The food was amazing. I had quattro stagioni pizza. (Four season pizza). I have had many of them over the years, but I can honestly say, it was the best Quattro Stagioni Pizza I have had. My wife had a specially made gluten free Antipasto platter. She was absolutely over the moon with it. Service was excellent, helped us choose our wine. Atmosphere was cosy. The table we had was very romantic too. I asked to take a photo to say thank you and they gladly obliged.

My favourite Italian in Southampton by far !!! Our latest visit was Amazing , Food is always fantastic and the staff go above and beyond to accomodate. My son is in a powerchair, they basically rearranged the restaurant so we could navigate through the doorway 😁 Thanks once again for the delicous food and superb service. The wine was great too 😋

Tonight was my second visit here and it was absolutely wonderful. We travelled far and its 100% worth the drive. The food was freshly made and the servings were very good, the atmosphere was pleasant with the staff so cheerful. We left with full tummy's and a smile on our face and looking forward to going back again, Well worth every single penny 🥰

Came here the other day with a few friends. First walked into the restaurant and was greeted nicely by the waiters. We started with cheesy garlic bread which was delicious and melted in our mouths. We then followed up with mains which was firstly Gnocchi pesto & muscles and then spaghetti bolognaise. Both pasta was to die for and a great size portions. The desserts came out shortly after due to great service and we were all pleased with the pana cotta and cheesecake. The pana cotta was delightful and we all enjoyed our desserts. The atmosphere was great and brilliant music playing in the background. The best authentic italian restaurant 😄 !

Really wonderful food, a treat, a destination with comfort, class, lounge, huge selection of drinks with a lovely long bar. All tastefully decorated for Xmas. Was so busy having fun that didn’t take too many pictures of the food. Thoroughly recommend oysters, Lobster Thermidor & Hake. Service spot on.

The staff appeared understandably under pressure due to the busy evening, yet they maintained a high level of professionalism throughout. A particular mention goes to the young, dark haired lady who assisted us was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient as my wife and I inquired about various dishes. Her attentiveness made a great impression. The view of the marina is absolutely stunning, adding to the overall charm of the experience. The dishes we ordered were hot, fresh, and delicious, although they took some time to arrive. However, given the bustling atmosphere, we found this understandable. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it.

Wonderfull fish and chips.😃😃 Not soggy!! Lovely crisp batter and crispy chips. Best I've had for along time. Well worth the drive there.

Absolutely fantastic chip shop. Service is always fast and serve with a smile. The cod is fantastic, and as someone that prefers chips slightly more done (not burnt, but with a subtle brown) I am never disappointed with underdone chips. Even with the current cost of living, the chip portions are always generous and well worth the £3.50 I usually get for a medium. Whenever I have to go to another chip shop I am generally disappointed, but that is never the case here!

This was one of the top few fish and chips amongst those we had before. The fish was lightly battered and it tasted fresh. The chips was well cooked. They were cooked in healthy oil as mentioned on the sign. I preferred the fish over the squid. The shop looks clean and is very well organized.

Lovely establishment. I noticed how impeccably clean it is as soon as I walked in. The staff were lovely and polite, made conversation with me while I waited for my food. The food itself was lovely! The chips were cooked beautifully and came in generous portions. My son had nuggets and they were real chicken, big thumbs up! Love that you can get chips in a box too, as we took ours down the road to eat on the beach. Would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again!

First time at the Nook & Cranny and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was delicious and well presented. A bit pricier than what we would usually go for but worth the money. Will be back and recommend to others.
