Went here for the first time the other week, wasn't sure what to expect but had seen all the 5* reviews online. The reviews definitely matched our experience. We went for the platter for 2-3 people for £56. This was lovely food and good value for money and was enough between the 2 of us! Staff were lovely and fast service as we went mid week. We will definitely be back and glad this great place is local to us. 🙂

What a wonderful experience on my birthday. We have never tried a Turkish restaurant, so on my birthday I suggested we try one out. We chose Yaprak because of the reviews and OMG, we made the best decision! Service was excellent and swift, food was absolutely delicious and we were looked after by Annette, who was a marvellous host! I will visit with some girl friends and definitely with my family again.

A really nice place with friendly attentive staff. All the food was great but the lamb meat was out of this word, melt in your mouth tender deliciousness! can't recommend it enough.

I was recommended Alam spice , im from middlesbrough and curries up our way always good , but i must say !! I got lamb madras and sag aloo , didnt do chapatis , but no matter , gorgeous curry tender lamb and a great sauce , sag aloo was also good , i thoroughly recommend this takeaway

It is always a delight and a pleasure to get food here. They're a takeaway, so no sit down food to be had, but they're focused on customers and food. The waiting area is large and comfortable with no TV blaring (a positive in my opinion). The kitchen is always busy, and their food is extremely good quality. The food is always delicious. It's easily one of the hampshire's best Indian restaurants for food alone. They don't Overload you on ghee and colourings here, so the dishes are all distinct, the meat is tender, the foods all have excellent mouth feel, and your meal always tastes the same delicioua way regardless of time of day or day of the week. You can order with confidence.

The reception and ambiance of the restaurant was great. The lighting and decor definitely elevated the experience as well as the view from the restaurant. The cocktails we had were perfect as I didn't want something too sweet and the waitress recommended the perfect cocktail to me. Their signatures were unique and I would want to go back for them alone! The food was but no means bad, I'd only give it 4 stars though as it was not mind-blowing with amazing flavours. But I will say that it is Asian fusion really well done. My highlights were the duck pancakes, chicken and egg-fried rice. Tried a little of the Hazelnut dessert and wish I ordered myself one! Definitely one to go back to.

Wow wow wow!! From start to finish, an excellent experience of Asian tapas and fantastic wines: we cannot wait to visit again. Blue Jasmine had been on our radar for a couple of months to try. An easy, flat, 10/15 minute walk from West Quay, we incorporated visiting for Saturday lunch after a shopping morning. An absolutely beautiful setting in Ocean Village, Blue Jasmine offers a stunning bar, terrace and restaurant overlooking the yachts of the marina and beyond. A warm welcome from all and we started with a drink at the beautiful bar /lounge area before moving into the restaurant area; Warm woods, stunning lighting, cosy booths, attention to detail and of course, the view !! Service was top notch with helpful recommendations of how much to order and we settled on seven or eight dishes between the four of us. We chose some of the usual traditional offerings such as crispy duck with pancakes and spring rolls plus some new dishes (to us) such as honey and lemon chicken with the addition of pomegranate, Salmon Massaman and a Thai roasted chicken with tamarind and mint dipping sauce and Himalayan Pink salt. Salivating at the memory of that dish. By their recommendation we had a bottle of Italian red that somehow magically went with all the dishes we had. (A Barbera D’Asta, which was exclusive to them ) . Service was warm, welcoming and attentive throughout, we felt really valued and appreciated: I really can’t speak highly enough of the place and cannot wait to go back. You can easily set this as the place for either an easy going but top notch light lunch, as well as a THE place for a special occasion due to sumptuous setting and decor, and food and wine to warrant making a special trip for. Really wonderful food, a treat, a destination with comfort, class, lounge, huge selection of drinks with a lovely long bar. All tastefully decorated for Xmas. Was so busy having fun that didn’t take too many pictures of the food. Thoroughly recommend oysters, Lobster Thermidor & Hake. Service spot on.

Great meal with great service from Tom. We started with the oysters and then proceeded to try everything we could. The souffle are phenomenal, the catch of the day, a sea bass, was delicious. The chateaubriand cooked perfectly, but in the UK they don't season it, so if your from the states before to ask for extra extra season or some sea salt from kitchen. One of best restaurants in a hotel we had during our travels and a big thank you to Tom who really took care of us, Would visit again!

The staff appeared understandably under pressure due to the busy evening, yet they maintained a high level of professionalism throughout. A particular mention goes to the young, dark haired lady who assisted us was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient as my wife and I inquired about various dishes. Her attentiveness made a great impression. The view of the marina is absolutely stunning, adding to the overall charm of the experience. The dishes we ordered were hot, fresh, and delicious, although they took some time to arrive. However, given the bustling atmosphere, we found this understandable. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it.

Best roast dinner I have had out in ages. Excellent service, and amazing food. Very well priced. Never waiting long for your meal and always well placed between meals. Can’t recommend highly enough

We love seashells wonderful staff attentive and always smiling. Our food tonight was simply delicious, perfectly cooked and presented. The chocolate brownie is heaven on a plate. Love the new decor bright and fresh with lovely firmiliar views over the river. We have never been unhappy with the food or service at Seashells. We went to a Michelin star restaurant for our anniversary a total disaster and said we should of gone to seashells....enough said

Seashells is a real favourite. We booked view of the pier and shore for 6 adults. The specials were impressive. Great staff, well trained and attentive. The steak pie was excellent and my friend loved his fish pie. All served with chips if you want. Their coffee is great. The Baguettes are yummy.

We stumbled across this place during a visit to the area. Up the stairs to an open bar area, with dining at the back. Views across the water and a smoking veranda. The staff are friendly and attentive. A small but well put together menu. The food was out promptly and was to a very reasonable standard. The beef burger could have done with a touch more seasoning, but we had no complaints. All round a nice experience. We would definitely come back.

My friend and I had a lovely meal tonight, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food tasty. The staff were friendly and attended to us quickly throughout our meal. Highly recommend!

First time at the Nook & Cranny and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was delicious and well presented. A bit pricier than what we would usually go for but worth the money. Will be back and recommend to others.

Got coffees to take away last night but have had a delicious lunch here and am always tempted by the treats on offer!! I’ve had the ‘chocolate brick’ which is just like the ‘chocolate crunch’ we had at junior school! So delicious! Not your average menu options on offer here. And I must say the staff are always lovely here too! 😁

Found this place after a bit of an Internet trawl for bunch and ended up really happy with our choices. Really lovely food with good provenance and friendly service. Can't believe it's so close and we have never been, we'll be back to sample the rest of the menu.

Cosy and comfortable for a lovely Sunday breakfast with friends. Staff were really friendly and went that extra mile to make us feel welcome. We weren't rushed at all. The food was delicious and very obviously freshly prepared. The fresh apple juice was incredible!! Amazing to see proper fresh apple juice!!! Bagel was exceptionally prepared and bacon was delicious. Halloumi was soft, but well cooked. Ingredients were of high quality. The mex hash side was a lot more than we expected for a side, I reckon this could be a small breakfast by itself rather than hiding away on the sides menu. We did find it quite expensive, especially with the additional service charge that is automatically included. (We were happy to pay though because of the service)

I found this gem by chance looking for a coffee shop, as I don’t live in the area and was giving a friend a lift. It looked inviting from the outside with easy parking and then the staff were very friendly and welcoming inside. I sat in a cosy corner to people-watch and looked at the menu. There were two sides to the menu, a vegetarian/vegan side and a regular side. It was a lovely surprise to find so many vegetarian options and also to find that all the options were available all day. The staff were attentive and my order was taken quickly. I ordered a large latte and the Wild Mushrooms Eggs Benedict with greens and truffle oil. My latte was perfect and large - so many large options are not very large in my experience! My food came quickly, was piping hot and totally delicious. It was all beautifully cooked and full of flavour and I enjoyed every mouthful. There were also some amazing looking and sounding cakes and pastries available, but I managed to resist - just! The whole experience was a joy - and even the toilets were good! I only wish it was closer to where I live, as I would definitely be a regular visitor.

On our last night of our holiday we had fish and chips and chose Holbury fish bar to get them from. Delicious tasty fish, chips were perfect and friendly, helpful staff during these testing times. Thank you.

Local, traditional fish and chip shop. Can’t fault it - food is delicious and fresh; price point is very reasonable; staff are efficient and friendly; menu is huge (in a good way - vegan and veggie options available). 5 mins from Lepe Beach so perfect for a beach picnic. Five star worthy for sure!

This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! From the moment we walked in, you feel like you’re in Italy. The food was absolutely delicious! Me and my girlfriend requested to have a bigger size whole Sea bass each, which we totally recommend :-) Thank you so much to everyone at Amalfi, for an amazing evening and unforgettable experience.

Birthday meal recommended at Amalfi! Glad we took the recommendation. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff. The food was amazing. I had quattro stagioni pizza. (Four season pizza). I have had many of them over the years, but I can honestly say, it was the best Quattro Stagioni Pizza I have had. My wife had a specially made gluten free Antipasto platter. She was absolutely over the moon with it. Service was excellent, helped us choose our wine. Atmosphere was cosy. The table we had was very romantic too. I asked to take a photo to say thank you and they gladly obliged.

Came here the other day with a few friends. First walked into the restaurant and was greeted nicely by the waiters. We started with cheesy garlic bread which was delicious and melted in our mouths. We then followed up with mains which was firstly Gnocchi pesto & muscles and then spaghetti bolognaise. Both pasta was to die for and a great size portions. The desserts came out shortly after due to great service and we were all pleased with the pana cotta and cheesecake. The pana cotta was delightful and we all enjoyed our desserts. The atmosphere was great and brilliant music playing in the background. The best authentic italian restaurant 😄 !

My favourite Italian in Southampton by far !!! Our latest visit was Amazing , Food is always fantastic and the staff go above and beyond to accomodate. My son is in a powerchair, they basically rearranged the restaurant so we could navigate through the doorway 😁 Thanks once again for the delicous food and superb service. The wine was great too 😋
