14 of us turned up & thought we had a booking. No booking but owner could not have been more accommodating & friendly. The food they bought out was excellent. Great choice of wines.

Where do we start!? The best cheese and wine around. Great staff, great atmosphere, fantastic cocktails and always welcoming (even at midnight!) We must support independent hospitality and it’s really top notch here.

This is the best wine and cheese bar we’ve been too! It is such a lovely, relaxing atmosphere! The owners are so welcoming and friendly! The food is incredible- the cheese fondue was amazing- we’ve just been skiing in the alps and the fondue here was so much better!! They helped us pick red wines to our taste and we loved them, a very personalised, friendly experience! We will be back for sure! P.s Frank the dog is adorable.

Lovely local pub with fantastic food. Service was excellent and food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Alcohol selection was also good. Would highly recommend.

Review 2021: Still an absolute lovely place! Popped in again today and enjoyed the weather in the pub garden! The chicken katsu curry was delicious with rice 😋. Every member of staff was helpful and absolutely lovely, cosy little pub with a great atmosphere. Came for our anniversary dinner got the amazing ribs and onion rings pictured, demolished the lot and I would highly recommend a visit.

Having walked the streets of the beautiful village of Ringwood, many times, had coffee and eaten in almost every place, I have no idea, how I missed this little spot! Insignificant from the outside, but step inside and you will be treated to a taste of Italy! You know from the moment you walk through the door, that this will be a good experience! Clean, authentic, genuine Italian business with Artisan food and wines to showcase Italy’s beautiful produce. Having not eaten there before, I opted for the dish of the day which was a safe bet. A beautiful pear and pecorino ravioli. A simple, humble dish, what could go wrong? Well, absolutely nothing! In fact, all my expectations were exceeded and left me yearning for a next visit. Super little place, great atmosphere, really good food and lots of goodies to treat yourself to enjoy at home. Melt in the mouth pasta, bursting with flavour. Simple ingredients where the produce is respected and the food speaks for itself. Great for lunch, I am sure dinner is just as good and with some great quality wines, specialist collections, you can’t go too far wrong.

I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️

Good food at reasonable price. Great service: asked for taxi, staff were told of long delays, so member of staff (delivery driver) gave us a lift instead. Wouldn't expect always possible but brilliant of them to make an opportunity from a problem.

We visited Gurkha Kitchen in Ringwood with a large group of about 30 people, spread across four tables. Despite the size of our group, the staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and managed everything without a hint of chaos. The food arrived quickly, hot, and was served very professionally. I ordered Indian dishes, and so did many of my friends—everything was excellent! I was pleasantly surprised, as I had expected them to excel at other Asian cuisines but wasn’t sure about Indian food. I was wrong! The korma, pilau rice and peshwari naan I had were outstanding. Not a single complaint from anyone in our group. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

Just been tonight to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday. What an amazing evening, the staff are so tentative. The food is outstanding as it always is. We celebrated my birthday last week there as well. How lovely that they played happy birthday music and everyone sang to him. Honestly can’t ever fault the food or service. Have been a few times now and every time is as good as the last. Well done team Gurkha an asset to Ringwood

This place is absolutely Fantastic I cannot write how amazing this restaurant truly is, the staff are so attentive but let you enjoy your meal, they all know everything on the menu, our waitress even makes the tirimasu!!! The food is phenomenal, delicious and homemade!! The sign on the wall is perfect for the restaurant "come hungry, leave happy!!" Thank you guys we will be back!!

Lovely Italian restaurant tucked away in Ringwood’s town centre. Tony and his team were very attentive, service was fast and most of all the food is delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Had a fantastic evening here on Tuesday with a group of us celebrating 2 birthdays - couldn’t fault a single thing if I tried. Definitely the best restaurant locally. The food, atmosphere (even on a week night) and friendly attentive service are second to none. If you haven’t tried it yet then you’re missing out!

Best Thai food I've since being in Thailand. A very odd location for proper Thai food as it's a traditional old English pub with exposed beams, low ceiling and massive fire place, but don't let that fool you, no hunter's chicken here! Been a couple of times over the summer and the curries taste great, real authentic Thai flavours. Had the green curry which on their menu was supposed to be one of their hottest, tasted good but didn't have the heat I expected. Next time had the Jungle curry and asked for it Thai spice, blew my dad's socks off when he had a sip. Absolutely brilliant, not just hot for the sake of it but really added to the taste. Definitely recommend the place.

Wasn't expecting Thai Food from the traditional outside but kudos to the chef as it was some of the best I've had in this country. Had the Thai Red Curry with chicken but wish I had been braver and got the hotter one 👍 Unlile your normal curry house they had a range of pints on draft from local ale, IPA and lager which was nice. Staff were friendly and were working extremely hard with orders flying in for takeaway and in the restaurant. Vegi options for my partner were a little lacking and could be marked better on the menu but they did adapt and remove the fish/meat from the Singapore noodle dish without any hassle. Highly recommended

Excellent venue in the centre of Ringwood. Very welcome staff in a pretty environment either for eating/drinking and for overnighting. I have been there for a night but I will come back here all times I will be again in Ringwood. And next time I hope to get there earlier I'm time to have a dinner. Very good!

Lovely bartender, amazing waitress- very friendly and helpful. The outside area is perfect year round with heaters and cover. There wasn’t a huge choice of craft beer when we went but we tried a couple and enjoyed them. The main standout aspect is the food!! The best burgers we have ever had, you could really taste how fresh the meat was and the sides were unique and really tasty. We went last minute on a Sunday lunch— you may have to book but it is so worth it. We would be happy to travel from Southampton just for the food!

Great quality food as always and polite staff, although the pub was quite cold and sadly the fire wasn’t lit.

Fantastic burgers and great menu. Really enjoyed the food, can't fault it at all. Portions are generous, smashed burgers are juicy and flavourful. The Korean chicken tenders were delicious, great level of spice. Wasn't sure what to expect from being set up in a pub but was really blown away by how good the food is. Will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend if your looking for a decent burger place and a pint or two!!

Amazing quality food with great selection of coeliac friendly food on the menu. Staff were also knowledgeable about coeliac disease so put everyone at ease that their food would be safe... Not to mention delicious.

Truly excellent. Fantastic food and great service in a lovely setting. The portions were generous and the dishes were delicious, particularly the shared mezze platter and the mixed grill. The staff also need a special mention as they were so helpful and friendly.

Really nice chilled evening (Tuesday) food was really tasty and mid week deal for a table of 6 was a free bottle of wine! We brought the platter for 6 and was full!

Great food, great service. Plenty to eat as you share with the table bread and dips which creates a very family dinning feel. Friendly staff, and efficient timings. The atmosphere is very inviting, warm and cozy. Often it can be quite booked, so I would recommend to try and book in advance, it seems to be a popular restaurant of Ringwood currently. A little more pricey overall, but the quality and quantity of food makes it worthwhile.

Another fantastic stay! The food was delicious, and the staff were as friendly and welcoming as ever. The location is perfect for us, especially with our fur ball, making it an ideal getaway. We’re already looking forward to returning in May with our grandson for another wonderful visit!

From the moment we arrived at The High Corner Inn, we knew we had found somewhere special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with two crackling open fires running all day. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a super comfy bed that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. Dinner was just as impressive—the steak and ale pie was rich and full of flavor, and the dessert menu was impossible to resist. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering fantastic recommendations and always serving with a smile. Waking up to a delicious full English breakfast was the perfect way to round off our stay. We only wish we had booked for longer! We’ll definitely be returning soon.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch for a large party and large dogs. We were allocated a roomy area in the restaurant and the staff were amazing. Our waitress was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Nothing was too much trouble. The ambience was relaxing and a great backdrop for our get together and the food was superb. We all ordered different items and everyone enjoyed their food so huge compliments to the chef. Will definitely book a table next time we are walking our dogs there

What a find! We stopped at the High Corner Inn for lunch while exploring the New Forest, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The garden seating is spacious and peaceful, surrounded by nature, making it the ideal place to relax with a drink and enjoy a delicious meal. The food was incredible — we had the fish and chips and the homemade steak & ale pie, both of which were cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even bringing out a bowl of water for our dog Turbo without us having to ask! The little details made all the difference.

Great service as usual. A very typical english country pub with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good albeit i personally found the apples in the crumble very sharp. Overall though a nice couple of hours.

Lovely pub / restaurant with a great atmosphere. It’s hard to get a good gammon steak anywhere, but this was lovely!! To top it off, you can have a sit by the fire with a mulled wine and have a great bit of lunch / brunch.

What a beautiful pub. Backing onto the River Avon, as it meanders it's way though the Anglo-Saxon village of Ringwood, it's an idyllic setting for this grade 2 listed Butcombe pub. We were greeted by friendly staff and a mouth watering menu. Service is impeccable. The food is stunning. The fish finger sandwich for example, has a crispy, beer battered coating and the pickled fennel elevates it to another level. The haddock fish and chips also has the crispy beer batter. The pulled pork burger is superb. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly, highly recommended.

We were a mixed family group with ages ranging from 2 - 87! Staff were very friendly, welcoming and gave us excellent service throughout our stay. The food was first class, i chose the fish cakes,and worth every penny. The bonus was the range of Butcombe ales although, as I was driving, I only got to sample 1 of them 😊
