Great experience! Visited recently with my partner, and we both enjoyed everything we ordered! The Gambas were exceptional , their heads fell away so easily , in the end there was no mess at all, so highly recommend giving them a try! The sea-bass option was also a favourite , as well as the crab and prawn cakes with mango. We come from a city where we really are spoiled for choice, and we thought this place certainly is good value for money. There were great lunch deals when we visited, and hopefully they keep those on for locals or diners on budget. We visited off season , so it was a bit quieter and the chef could pop out and check on us and the dishes, which was great fun. It felt warm and welcoming and honest place ! Worth a visit!

My wife and I had a very good dinner at Super Brothers. A warm greeting and a cozy place was welcoming and inviting. Cocktails were excellent and there is a varied and diverse menu with many interesting choices. The food was very good, but the paella missed and was bland. The gazpacho was amazing and the other tapas were very good. I am happy to recommend this restaurant.

What a wonderful place! We arrived with A cozy place with fantastic service! We arrived without a reservation, but they quickly found us a table. The chef personally recommended delicious dishes, which turned out to be a great choice. Tasty food, a warm atmosphere, and excellent service – we will definitely be back!

Excellent food and service here, was the cheapest of our 3 meals out and the best. Conidering the quality it is good value for money. Parking is easy in the evening, we parked right outside. It is not very big so a lovely atmosphere.

Had a fabulous meal. Ambiance was warm and friendly, Garth looked after our table very professionally. Everyone had starters, from kidneys to scallops. Mains were grilled hake, pork fillets and quail. We finished the meal off with a delicious and interesting cheese board. The Muratie Cabernet Sauvignon was exceptional as always. Best restaurant in Stockbridge.

This was our second visit to Clos du Marquis. The service and food were superb once again. The normal set menu is great value but the 20 year special menu at £20 for two courses is unbelievably good. Many thanks to Garth and the chef.

I used to be head breakfast chef in a five star hotel, so I am quite hard to please.....I went here for Sunday lunch today. I walked in out of the very cold day to a very warm and clean interior. The welcome was very warm too, from the front of house lady, Alina, who was very professional, courteous, friendly, kind and caring. Just a lovely person. The rest of the staff were also very good, friendly, attentive and aware. I ordered the roast chicken. It was just right in terms of quality and quantity, and all cooked very well, very satisfying, and with the added bonus of unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud, and gravy. A nice touch, which I availed myself of, to the extent I felt I needed to walk for two hours after lunch along the beautiful Highcliffe coastline nearby. The desert was a new and innovative twist on apple crumble, again, a nice sized portion, and cooked very well, delicious. I dine out often, and in a varied assortment of venues. I would not hesitate to say that this was my best experience currently of Sunday roast dining. They have a very good balance here of efficiency and friendliness, good food and good atmosphere. A class act overall, in my opinion, I shall certainly be returning. 10/10.

Such a lovely place! Staff are super friendly. We managed to get a last minute reservation on a Sunday afternoon and it was so worth it, we ate our main meals inside and had puddings and more drinks in a beach hut that was made up for us. I can safely say the duck was probably the best I've had!! It was a first visit for myself, my partner and our dog but it won't be our last to say the least 🥰

For our first and only time experience, with the Oaks, last Sunday, 11th August 2024, this place is definitely a real find and worth going back for more...and not just for seconds!! Our party of 11 (9 adults and two children) was accommodated at short notice with a phone call the same morning. The place is massive and very spacious inside and out. Great layout. For our size party they gave us bench seats in the garden under a huge canopy (good cover in any weather). The food options were great and varied, and tasty. Most of us opted for the roast. Huge yorky puds, along with tastefully presented meals. They also accommodated our requests for more roasties, puds and gravy. The desserts were sublime and I tried a mint choc souffle with choc ice cream. All gratefully appreciated. No disappointments and the service was first rate too. Attentive and personal. Noted for next time when staying/visiting the New Forest area. Great entertainment for family and kids too with the beer garden games and furniture.

A very welcoming Restaurant Bar with a rang of flexible dining locations suitable for couples, families or lager groups outside under cover. Or even in pods. We don't tend to post food as there are enough out there already. We can recommend the Beef and Tribune ale pie and mash with green beans. Simple meal but served v hot and v tasty. It even comes with a 1/3rd pt taster of Tribune Ale as a bonus. We also had the Half Chicken which once again was excellent with a proper home cooked roast flavour. We turned up without a booking on a Sunday, but we would recommend booking as it was still quite busy after the Sunday Roast Rush! Toilets well kept, upstairs with Accessable toilet on ground floor. Can't wait to pass that way again.

We loved our weekend break at Lainston house. Special thanks to the team (especially Gerri - I think that’s how to spell her name). She was wonderful and made us feel so welcome! We had dinner at the wellhouse and Avenue on different nights - the food was delicious on both occasions! Our room was spacious and comfortable; main downside is that it was in the furthest top corner of the hotel which made things tricky with a small baby. Next time, I’ll request a room that’s closer to reception. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Lainston House. All of the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. A special mention needs to go to Tom Hamblet in the Avenue restaurant. The food was divine and one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Totally delicious and divine. Definitely 5 stars.

We recently had our wedding at Lainston House, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The venue is stunning, with beautiful surroundings that made for an unforgettable backdrop to our special day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, making us feel truly cared for throughout the entire process. The hotel accommodation was fantastic as well—comfortable, luxurious, and ideal for both us and our guests. The attention to detail, from the wedding planning to the catering, was flawless. Our guests are still raving about the food and the overall atmosphere!

Spent a weekend at Lainston House and would thoroughly recommend. The room itself was very good with nice views down the grounds. Eat one night at the Wellhouse and had the Chef's Table at the Avenue the second night. Both very good, though the Chef's table was definitely special. As a note my partner has a number of allergies and both restaurants coped without issue, though was especially impressed with the Chef's table where they did a bespoke tasting menu. Overall for the quality of service the hotel offers and standard of rooms highly recommended.

Amazing location, super peaceful on the riverside. If you're lucky you may see some trout and other fish. The service was great, the Sunday roast was almost perfect (I think coz of it's popularity, it can get served lukewarm) Otherwise, it was great and definitely looking forward to going back, most likely in the spring.

The most stunning place I've ever had lunch at: right on the river. Surrounded by ducks and geese. Lovely food, as well. I had the gnocchi while my partner had the fish and chips. Both were great! I'm not surprised the place was packed even on a Wednesday afternoon. It's just that good!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch thank you. Excellent range of choices all beautifully prepared and presented. Pleasant and not overbearing service. Hotel looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. Very grateful for Chloe for her help in making arrangements with me. Happy Christmas to you all!

Would prefer the gluten and dairy free mushroom starter as option which my friend had as cheese thing in the afternoon tea is too strong for me personally. Would love to see lemon and poppy seed scone. Would love a small shot glass size Eton Mess or lemon curd pudding or triffle just a different texture to all cake. Other cakes could be smaller in that instance perhaps ? Bit crowded today v busy had to go and ask for more drinks twice could do with a few more staff on those days but it wasnt a disaster I just felt like a pain asking for more tea nothing the staff did to make me feel like that. They guys as usual parked my car as had disabled people with me thats so helpful. Love taking all the cakes home as you cannot fit it all in so thats a lovely treat for after. I personally would love to have to option of taking some of the breakfast tea home to accompany the cakes the next day but that's just me as the tea is so good. Staff are super helpful as always and try to make everything perfect.amazing birthday treat was able to take a few more cakes home as my birthday such a thoughtful gesture. We were celebrating my birthday the staff are always super helpful with connie, connie loves going at 98 years old as its nice to make positive memories at the end of her journey.

We had an amazing afternoon, celebrating a friend visit from Brazil. We were all very impressed with the art and deco. Many pictures were taken and shared on our social media. Our server Chris was very attentive, extremely polite and happy in his job. Which is lovely to see. He catered to all our needs. He is an asset to turtle bay. Good staff are very hard to come by and he is certainly a worth looking after. The food and drink were perfect 👌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Didn't know what to expect from Turtle Bay but was pleasantly surprised. Went for dinner - Food was excellent as were the 2 4 1 cocktails, service was polite and prompt even though it was a busy night. Would highly recommend a visit although..... If it's a quiet evening meal your after, probably best not go on a Saturday night as it was crowded and very noisy......but that can only be a sign of a popular establishment. Looking forward to going back.....

A place filled with lots of bustles, happy hours with a good selection of cocktails. Sweet corn fritters were excellent but not for those who cannot tolerate spice.

Loved loved LOVED it here.....We booked in for the bottomless brunch (late afternoon) It wasn't that busy but still good atmosphere. The food was fabulous...the cocktails were nice and plentiful.What made our visit was our waitress Abby she was very attentive and friendly an asset to the team.

Superb experience. Hotel staff were very attentive and welcoming. The Junior Suite was first class and the attention to detail was second to none. The breakfast was amazing and offered extensive choices. After a long walk on the beach we chilled out in the Spa. The outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the trees was magical. Excellent luxury spa hotel . We visited for a spa weekend and had an excellent stay. The pool and spa area is large and very relaxing and the gym is well equipped . We dined at the dining room and have a very good meal and the best service we have received in a UK hotel very attentive staff! When we left it was raining and the concierge team even offered to bring my car down so we didn’t get wet . Highly recommend and will be returning in the summer !

Their lovely dining room was being spruced up so we were in their function room. Food lovely. New Tennis surface brilliant to play on. The staff could not have been more helpful. Facilities so relaxing

Great location and a nice welcome on arrival. Table as requested and food was both tasty and well proportioned. The only niggle was the music from the bar area was both loud and not really appropriate for ambiance that was trying to be created. Personal choice maybe but relevant to our reason for dining. Nice dining experience overall and we'll be coming back 👍🏻🙂

Went as part of a group for a set, two course Christmas Dinner. The main course was lovely, very tasty and nicely presented. The two options for desert looked lovely, but due to dietary restrictions I could eat neither. I was offered a small cheeseboard which was lovely, then charged £4 for it. I don't think this is fair as I'd already paid for the two set courses which included a desert. I and two other people were also asked to pay for tea infusions whereas coffee was included in the cost of the meal. I love going to the Cliff House, the staff are terrific and it's in a great position. However, I do think that folk who can't eat deserts on a set menu or drink tea are treated unfairly.

Great spot, food was good. They were busy so maybe service a little slower than the norm, but wasn't an issue for us as chatting with friends in the sun that was streaming through the window. Will definitely go again. Staff were excellent. Dog friendly. Didn't stay overnight, just food.

Love this little place, they don't serve food anymore just drinks. The staff & regulars were all very friendly. You make new friends instantly. Reminds me of the US sitcom Cheers. Where everybody knows your name.

Great little secret that few people no about. Locals, and the staff, are all bonkers. Cheap drinks, dog friendly and a great night out! Well worth a visit.
