âWe popped in for some beers and some food. We checked the website and it stayed open for food. Unfortunately, this wasnât the case. It would be good if this has been stated, so we werenât disappointed. The beers are the best around and wanted to give a 5 rating, plus support Vibrant Forest. Hopefully, this feedback can be acknowledged and save anyone else being disappointed.â

âHaven't visited for a while until recently, nice to see it's still popular. Personally we thought the food wasn't quite as nice as previously, but by no means bad. The portion sizes are still good, we had 3 courses each and overall was good value for money. Staff are friendly, nice atmosphere. Good to support a local businessâ

âBest Thai I've ever had! Guy running the restaurant was super friendly and helpful, also very polite. 100% recommend The Weeping Tiger meal, absolutely the best steak I've ever had. Will definitely be back, if you like Thai food absolutely go here. Had to thank the chef in person on the way out. Very close to car park as well.â

âWarm welcome from the lady and her staff. This pub was full with every table having lunch, from dog walkers to people visiting the New Forest. The food was home cooked and so delicious we want to return in the future. Nothing was too much trouble, a dog bowl was brought to our table. There is an under cover outdoor dining area also. A small car park. Highly recommend this establishment.â

âA fantastic find on our last day of the holiday. The pub had a really good feel of an old traditional homely pub. We had 4 mains, deserts & drinks. Excellent food, the trio of venison sausages were delicious. The different pies also fantastic and the apple & peach crumble very good. Great staff who were friendly and helpful.â

âWe went there for a romantic weekend away, and what a delightful experience it was! The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Lyndhurst, easy reach to numerous walking trails that the New Forest offers. The hotel's interior was charming and the ambience was inviting with colour flowing seamlessly. The staff was warm and attentive. The new food menu was amazing. We tried seared scallops and duck croquette for starters; lamb shank and venison for mains. Absolutely delish. Highly recommended. Overall, top notch place to stay. We can't wait to be back.â
