Absolutely beautiful dinner this evening. Lovely blankets and hot water bottles to keep us warm. Large sun umbrella to keep us dry. Our 3 course meal was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious - beautifully complimented by wine. Lovely, friendly service and atmosphere. We really can't wait until the indoor Restaurant is permitted to open and are already planning our next visit. Huge thanks to Paul & Georgie for a lovely evening!

Had an excellent Sunday breakfast here (Dec '22) - available before 11.55am. Really beautiful and cozy interior. Friendly service. Roasts also looked good. Large outdoor space for the warmer months.

Great little find in the heart of Petersfield. Offering a nice menu with plenty of locally sourced products. Great food,nicely presented with good service.

Our family visited last night based on a recommendation from a former colleague. I think the magic begins as soon as you walk through the door. The decor and atmosphere is refreshingly unique and makes you feel at home. Brilliant choices on the menu and it’s even better than you imagine, when it arrives on your plate. Will one hundred percent make this my go to place in Petersfield and will recommend far and wide.

Nice pub. Food was good, but just a little more garnish on the plate would cheer it up a bit. I had the veggie beetburger which was tasty.

Absolutely lovely pub, we stopped on a journey home for some lunch and I had an excellent Fish Finger sandwich. Lovely staff, decent prices and dog friendly with a good car park! Would recommend.

Me and my partner stopped in here on Saturday at 12:30ish for a bite to eat, and what a gem we found. The people were lovely, it was decorated very well and the food was delicious and very filling. We had a sandwich and chips each plus the salad that comes with a sandwich and we were both very full and happy. It was a lucky dip as we were driving home but we both wished it was closer to our house as we would easily re visit every month. Our small dog was kept on his lead and sat under our table, it’s so cozy that it’s easy to access outdoor space if they need it.

Had a tasty meal on a quiet Saturday lunchtime. Reasonable choice of menu but the specials were good selection and we had tenderloin pork in a mushroom sauce. Friendly staff. Reasonable price.

This was a last minute booking and we were really pleased that we ended up here by chance . The food was amazing ( best crumble ever). There was a band who were great . The rooms were comfortable and warm . Probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed . Complimentary breakfast which was not expected . Also immaculately presented . We would love to come back here and would recommend to anyone wishing to visit Winchester .

Really nice owners very reasonably priced room. Found it to be very clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Had the curry in the pub and it was delicious. Only thing I can moan about my room was at the front on the main road but other than that great!! Loved the curry!!

Great friendly, chatty staff, cosy seating and lovely sandwiches. Healthy portions and the chips were epic pub chips! They made our table feel so welcome- especially having two children with us and we had such a lovely time here. Can’t wait to come back.

We did a local walk from here and then had a few drinks and lunch in the pub. Good selection of ales and lagers. Food was tasty, homecooked, and well presented. Staff were friendly and service excellent. We sat in the bar area with our dogs, next to the bar which is very old worldy and relaxing especially with the fire going.

Went to visit some friends in Petersfield and they took me to this pub for dinner. An unbelievable vibe - it is straight out of a movie. Exactly the country pub I would imagine from the 1700’s. The food was fantastic. I had the pumpkin soup and burger and both were great.

Previous visits were disappointing, but we thought we'd give it another go as it's under new ownership. Not disappointed the food and service were excellent. Really interesting and innovative menu, beautifully cooked. We'll definitely be back soon.

Called in at The Hanger while walking in the area and looking for somewhere to stop in with our dogs Immediately upon arriving we were made to feel welcomed, reassured that our dogs (although a little mucky) were welcome, and shown to a seat in the bar area. Our drink orders were taken immediately and food menus supplied. The waitress was the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing and seemed to know the menu very well, offering her recommendations when we were unsure. The food was absolutely incredible, both myself and my Mum had the soup of the day (nettle and potato) and I'd be hard pressed to think of a soup I've had out that's nicer. I then had the spectacular steak and ale pie, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Definitely worth calling in on the way past, and we will be coming again (even if it means travelling to do so)

The best roast dinner around. We love coming here, the art work in the restaurant really adds to the ambience and is always a conversation starter. We've never had a bad meal at The Hanger, everything we've tried has been delicious and the service is great

Would absolutely recommend the Hanger for Sunday lunch. I had the beef and it was genuinely the best roast dinner I’ve ever had. My partner had the roast chicken and mum had the pork which were both also incredible. Definitely recommend the cauliflower cheese, probably worth getting a portion per person, I could’ve eaten my body weight in the stuff. The atmosphere was lovely, we booked for 1pm and it was a little quiet but still really nice. By the time we left the car park was full so probably worth booking earlier as I don’t know the area well but couldn’t see many other options parking wise when the car park was full.

Real old school pub. Cash only. Limited menu. But what they do comes in BIG portions, and is delicious. Rare beef. Real stove. Book if you want to sit inside (winter). How pubs used to be before the chains grabbed the market.

Wonderful old pub. It was about five years since my last visit and I’m pleased to say it hadn’t changed a bit. Something that could probably have been written 100 years ago or a 100 years from now. Life moves at a different tempo at the Harrow. Anyway, the beer is great, there’s free crisps n dips on the table and a fire kicking out forge levels of heat. All in a lovely old room postively steeped in local history. The only new thing was the freshly written sign on the door that said “no children”. Looks like that’s renewed every week..!

An absolutely charming, unpretentious,old english pub that has barely changed in years. The staff are so welcoming, and this just adds to the friendly atmosphere that greets you as you take a step inside. The food is non fussy but superb none the least, as is the beer. I highly recommend the oyster stout on keg, my "go to" whenever I am visiting👌. All this and a super cosy fireplace that warms your cold limbs in no time and just adds to the charm of this excellently run village pub. I love this place!

Old worldly, quirky pub tucked away just on the edge of Steep near Petersfield. Simple but very hearty food. Definitely worth a visit, especially on a sunny day. Open fires add character to the ambience. Nice outside garden space. Cash only purchases.

What a wonderful find! I asked my friends who live in the area to take me out to a good pub meal. They suggested The Temple Inn. They had been previously and had the Hungarian Waldorf Salad and the Goulash and raved about it. Oh my gosh. From the warm and friendly welcome to the cosy village pub vibe, a warm heartening fire crackling nicely to chase the winter chills away, this pub is a sure thing. The food though, that’s what sets this pub apart!! It’s so good. The pub has a Hungarian family running it and the influence is found throughout the menu and in the food. Classic pub grub is definitely all there, including the ubiquitous Steak and Ale pie, which I had. The meat was spiced perfectly, the gravy was so delicious and the mash melted in my mouth. The vegetables were steamed for clean flavours and still had a healthy bite to them. My friends had the carrot soup as main and roast lamb. Even though it wasn’t on the menu I asked for Garlic Bread which the team happily provided. It was so fresh and delicious. I have the feeling the make their own bread - but cannot confirm this. Both were very tasty and well prepared. My Pie was the winner though. Dora and Agnes are charming hosts and I absolutely would make a detour to stop and eat here again. (In fact it was so good we all went back the next day for lunch!!!!)

Lovely little village pub. Plenty of parking and food is superb. Steak and red wine pie is divine. Love the raspberry brulee and Hungarian custard slice for dessert. Very attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended

First time @ this pub for lunch and will definitely be returning. Food was delicious, service was friendly, professional and efficient the people were lovely. The Hungarian Goulash was exceptional. Nice twist on pub fare.

Went for Sunday Lunch with friends. We booked and got the last table! Great to see the pub full with a great atmosphere. Food was fabulous and even though they were very busy we did not have to wait long for our roast lamb to arrive. Highly recommended for service and great value delicious food. Steve

We have visited The Thomas Lord on a few occasions now. It’s always our go to place to eat when in the area. Such a lovely pub in a lovely area. We have been all different times of the year and the food and service never disappoint. The Sunday roasts are amazing!! We recently visited again and had the pleasure of meeting Zoe and Nicole who are working there at the moment. Such lovely girls and an asset to the pub. All the staff are friendly with just the right amount of interaction they don’t rush you at all as we have found in some places. We have never stayed here but we will try it one day and i am sure it won’t disappoint. Wish it was our local!! 😊

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning village with a very warm welcome. Perfect stop after travelling over from France to recharge have a great night sleep followed by an excellent breakfast the next morning to set us up for our onward journey. Yvonne and Paula were so attentive and made sure we had everything at breakfast.

Came along for the food and because its part of Lords cricket ground. There were six of us, 4 adults and 2 children and we were all happy with the food and service. The food was nice and the Chicken Kiev was fabulous. Great homemade food at a lovely location.

Magical place to go at Christmas, especially. Beautiful building, setting, fantastic views of the countryside around. The staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Especially Lottie who served my Mum and I, a credit to the Company. We really enjoyed our food, served promptly, piping hot and with a smile. The gift shop is amazing too! I live two hours away, but we are already planning our next visit in the Spring, which I know, will be equally special. Thank you to all.

A nice, hidden-away little complex of shops with a lovely restaurant serving delicious food. The shops offer a great range of unique home decorations and gifts. The restaurant and shop staff were friendly and accommodating.

A beautiful location for a bite to eat and a spot of shopping. We visited over the Christmas weekend for a celebratory afternoon tea, celebrating my birthday, our daughter’s wedding and Christmas. There is an abundance of parking and the locate is in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. The barn was decorated for Christmas, the food was plentiful and delicious, the staff were lovely, keeping our tea pot topped up after our glasses of Prosecco were empty. Would we come again? Most definitely!

My friends and I came here for a Sunday roast after a walk nearby and loved it. They had very good portions and the prices were reasonable too. Would’ve loved the potatoes to be crispier and the side vegetables to be roasted instead of boiled, otherwise, everything was fine. And they also allowed our dog, which was definitely a plus 😊

6 members of our extended family met at The Half Moon bar and restaurant today. We were served by a very polite and pleasant gentleman. Our meal was delicious and dessert yummy. The Half Moon is located by Petersfield in Hampshire and is an easy venue to reach for our group who lived within a 25-mile radius. Certainly would recommend.
