Great quality food as always and polite staff, although the pub was quite cold and sadly the fire wasn’t lit.

Amazing quality food with great selection of coeliac friendly food on the menu. Staff were also knowledgeable about coeliac disease so put everyone at ease that their food would be safe... Not to mention delicious.

Lovely bartender, amazing waitress- very friendly and helpful. The outside area is perfect year round with heaters and cover. There wasn’t a huge choice of craft beer when we went but we tried a couple and enjoyed them. The main standout aspect is the food!! The best burgers we have ever had, you could really taste how fresh the meat was and the sides were unique and really tasty. We went last minute on a Sunday lunch— you may have to book but it is so worth it. We would be happy to travel from Southampton just for the food!

This is my first time visiting here and I absolutely loved it. I had a Kogi pork cheese burger and my partner had a Animal burger. Both of them are one of the best burgers we’ve ever had. We shared a Korean fries too. It was lovely! I am a Korean and whenever I see something ‘Korean’ on the menu, most of the time it is disappointing. It definitely wasn’t the case this time. So lovely that I ordered another portion of Korean wings after finishing the burgers😂 The service was great too! We couldn’t ask her name cuz it was busy but she kindly explained the menu and checked if we needed anything. Will definitely visit again!

I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️

Having walked the streets of the beautiful village of Ringwood, many times, had coffee and eaten in almost every place, I have no idea, how I missed this little spot! Insignificant from the outside, but step inside and you will be treated to a taste of Italy! You know from the moment you walk through the door, that this will be a good experience! Clean, authentic, genuine Italian business with Artisan food and wines to showcase Italy’s beautiful produce. Having not eaten there before, I opted for the dish of the day which was a safe bet. A beautiful pear and pecorino ravioli. A simple, humble dish, what could go wrong? Well, absolutely nothing! In fact, all my expectations were exceeded and left me yearning for a next visit. Super little place, great atmosphere, really good food and lots of goodies to treat yourself to enjoy at home. Melt in the mouth pasta, bursting with flavour. Simple ingredients where the produce is respected and the food speaks for itself. Great for lunch, I am sure dinner is just as good and with some great quality wines, specialist collections, you can’t go too far wrong.

This place is absolutely Fantastic I cannot write how amazing this restaurant truly is, the staff are so attentive but let you enjoy your meal, they all know everything on the menu, our waitress even makes the tirimasu!!! The food is phenomenal, delicious and homemade!! The sign on the wall is perfect for the restaurant "come hungry, leave happy!!" Thank you guys we will be back!!

What a fabulous find. Just a few steps from the main road and parking. What an oasis of food, we only popped in for a coffee and ended up eating brocheta and a pizza between us. The .Manager was delightful. We are just moving to the area so will put this restaurant at the top of our list.

Lovely Italian restaurant tucked away in Ringwood’s town centre. Tony and his team were very attentive, service was fast and most of all the food is delicious. Will definitely be returning!

Had a fantastic evening here on Tuesday with a group of us celebrating 2 birthdays - couldn’t fault a single thing if I tried. Definitely the best restaurant locally. The food, atmosphere (even on a week night) and friendly attentive service are second to none. If you haven’t tried it yet then you’re missing out!

Absolutely loved our stay here. This was the perfect place for our young family to explore the New Forest and was always a nice warm welcome back to at the end of each day out and about. The food is excellent (both adults and children’s menu) and the cosy pub with its open fires and great beers was the perfect place to relax after an eventful day exploring. We stayed in room 1 which overlooked the green so our daughter was able to watch the horses grazing and had plenty of room for us all. Thank you for having us and can’t wait to stay again.

Lovely pub/eatery set in the heart of the New Forest just on the outskirts of Lyndhurst. Food was delicious and reasonably well priced. The staff were excellent, personable, efficient and cheerful. We will certainly be returning. Highly rated.

Lovely, warm and friendly historic pub in the New Forest. We had Sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago and while the portions were generous and the vegetables, Yorkshire Pudding and roast spuds were delicious, the meat (both the turkey and the beef) was overcooked and reminiscent of school dinner roasts. Service was excellent though. Hopefully you can do something about the meat so it's better the next time we come. Thank you!

Had an excellent evening meal here last week. While the food wasn’t Michelin quality, when added to the lively ambiance, super friendly staff, open fire and the feel of a genuine old-style community pub (a lot easier said than done) this is a winner. This part of the New Forest is blessed with decent pubs (like the New Forest Inn) but the Trusty Servant is up there with the best of them. Be careful with parking as it is easy to block a gate or driveway in the pitch darkness that descends on England by four in the afternoon at this time of year. Place is chilled.

Great food, great service. Plenty to eat as you share with the table bread and dips which creates a very family dinning feel. Friendly staff, and efficient timings. The atmosphere is very inviting, warm and cozy. Often it can be quite booked, so I would recommend to try and book in advance, it seems to be a popular restaurant of Ringwood currently. A little more pricey overall, but the quality and quantity of food makes it worthwhile.

Our new favourite! We are becoming weekly visitors at this brilliant, great value addition to our town. Yes, the menu is perhaps simple - but the food is really great. Always hot, tasty, good sized portions and served with a smile. I must say we always ask to sit downstairs as the ambience is always better - upstairs is a bit cold. The staff value their customers and we love eating here. Welcome to our town!

Really nice chilled evening (Tuesday) food was really tasty and mid week deal for a table of 6 was a free bottle of wine! We brought the platter for 6 and was full!

The Three Tuns Country Inn was very delightful, good food, lovely scenery with a good atmosphere. The staff were very good. I had Duck Pancakes £9.50 for starters and asked for more pancakes, no charge. Had the Fish Platter for two £23.00, asked for more bread, no charge, and desserts. We went a bit over the top on drinks, and the final bill came to £115.72 for two.

Evening meal was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Very good selection of food and drink on offer.

Went for a walk in the New Forest and came across this lovely pub when looking for somewhere to stop for lunch that let's dogs in. Really friendly staff and great atmosphere. No problem getting a table as a walk-in, and we could sit comfortably in the bar area with our dog. Great choice of food on the menu, and all reasonably priced, too. Went for the burger, which was massive and tasted so fresh, homemade, and really rich and meaty. The staff also didn't mind us giving our dog a treat as we ate our lunch, and there were also complimentary dog treats at the bar. The deserts looked too good to miss, and we opted for the aquafaba lemon meringue (our first time trying aquafaba meringue!) and the melt-in-the-middle chocolate pudding with ice cream. Both deserts were morish, and definitely hit the spot after a fantastic meal. We will definitely be back when next in the New Forest!

I love coming to the Alice Lisle, the staff are always lovely and I look forward to seeing what's on the menu. The pub itself is beautiful at all times of the year. It was very quiet for a Friday night but that could be something to do with the freezing rain outside! We meet friends for dinner and drinks and had a lovely night overall. Pie of the day was steak and ale and was presented really well. Even the burger and chips had great presentation. I had the pan fried chicken "breast" risotto which tasted lovely but wasn't breast unfortunately! Though the chicken skin went well with it. I recommend their zinfandel rosé wine, sweet and tasty!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Alice Lisle in Ringwood, and I must say, the environment is absolutely amazing. Whether you're dining inside or outside, the setting is perfect for a leisurely lunch, especially on a sunny day by the lake. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. The meal was simply astonishing. The squid starter was delicious, and the steak ale pie was out of this world, with a delicate fennel flavor that perfectly complemented the steak. I have to give a special mention to the cappuccino—I've never had one quite like it! Someone, please tell me how the barista makes that cream on top. The prices are very fair, with starters around £10, main meals around £17, and drinks and hot drinks each at about £4. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

Had a family lunchtime party. All my cousins from Bournemouth and surrounding area got together and we all had a smashing time at The Alice Lisle, New Forest. Excellent food, excellent service in beautiful surroundings. What's not to like? Go there now!! 👍

Went for a long walk on the common & a delicious meal here after. Not cheap but excellent quality & service - midweek anyway. Fabulous setting & must get packed in the summer. Definitely revisit if in the area.

Great service as usual. A very typical english country pub with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good albeit i personally found the apples in the crumble very sharp. Overall though a nice couple of hours.

First time visitors, we were extended a very warm welcome on arrival , taking coffee before the rest of our party arrived, shown where our lunch time table was located and offered menus. Once seated , the table service from the " team " was both friendly AND knowledgeable especially questions relating to the " Specials " together with questions relating to allergies. Food lived up to expectations , served hot and tasty too. Nice location by the river , ideal for sitting outside on a warm summers day.

What a beautiful pub. Backing onto the River Avon, as it meanders it's way though the Anglo-Saxon village of Ringwood, it's an idyllic setting for this grade 2 listed Butcombe pub. We were greeted by friendly staff and a mouth watering menu. Service is impeccable. The food is stunning. The fish finger sandwich for example, has a crispy, beer battered coating and the pickled fennel elevates it to another level. The haddock fish and chips also has the crispy beer batter. The pulled pork burger is superb. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly, highly recommended.

Lovely pub / restaurant with a great atmosphere. It’s hard to get a good gammon steak anywhere, but this was lovely!! To top it off, you can have a sit by the fire with a mulled wine and have a great bit of lunch / brunch.

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday here. ( 24 people) Kimberley, the events manager was very helpful and understanding of our needs. On the day Anthony looked after us very well and accommodated us when we needed a vegetarian option at short notice and looked after our guest who needed everything gluten free. The service and the food was wonderful and we would highly recommend this venue.

Extremely welcoming staff; delicious food - creative and beautifully presented as well as filling and tasty! The management seem v aware that being understaffed over the Christmas period occasionally led to sub-standard service and they have been working really hard to rectify this - I couldn't fault them. It was well worth the visit. Big thanks from a happy local!

*given 3 stars due to visiting only the lounge We popped into Burley Manor for a coffee on our way back home from The New Forest. What a lovely place this is. The interior gives off posh, but rural vibes. We had a latte and a hot chocolate, both were sensational. We will definitely be returning at some point!

Stopped here for lunch whilst visiting the new forest area. Amazing food and service thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and ambience.

Great food let down by the environment and, of all things, the cutlery! First up the food itself was very good. Creative and pretty well executed, interesting flavours and ingredients - I'd never eaten puffball before, nor even heard of it being served! Delicious. The pigeon was a little tough, which would have been fine had not every knife in the place been worn smooth, the serrations all largely now flat; I've used cardboard cutlery that cut better then that, seriously. And the music. Oh my god. Imagine the worst possible naff elevator music, cheap electronic covers of cheesy songs which were all awful to begin with. Only reason the atmosphere got more than 1 star was the light airy feel the place had from the huge windows along one side.

New Year’s Eve What a fantastic night. On arrival the restaurant looked so inviting. We were welcomed by a lovely young lady, who showed us to our table. The food arrived in a really nice way, we were not hurried at all, and there was a nice gap between each course, enabling us to digest and chat. The food itself was delicious and plenty of it. We all had chosen our different courses before our arrival at the restaurant, so everything was served well. The DJ who entertained us for the night was superb, playing all the right stuff for all the age groups who were at the party. It really was a great way to see the new year in. If 2025 New Years will be held here again, we would definitely recommend a great way to see in 2026
