Been going to the Swan for decades now, since I was a kid. The food has always been good there. With the arrival of Merv, it has gone from 'Good Pub Food', to straight up 'Good Food'! We had Burgers, ribs and a side of fries. Faultless. The only downside is that we just wanted more. Next time we will definitely go for the 'All you can eat ribs'. Would recommend this to anyone.

Ordered from this place a few times now and each time I wish I ordered a bit more. The burger was better than any of the "burger places " in town and the ribs, wings and hotdogs all match. Don't be put off looking for cheaper options because the quality is there at Mervs. Great food if you're looking for some Americana. Perfect for summer time in the garden. šŸ‘Œ

Recently are here with friends. While we had a little difficulty ordering our food when it arrived it was delicious. Thereā€™s plenty of options so should be enough for everyone. The mains donā€™t come with rice which has to be ordered separately which bumped up the final bill a bit. Each of us had a starter, main and drink and it was over Ā£40 each so on the dearer side for Loughborough. We would consider eating here again though.

Nice ambience and delicious food. Very tasty. Service could be better, it took forever for our orders to be taken and the food to come out. We sat over an hour. It does feel quite authentic Italian once you walk in. All in all, good value for money and I'll be back again.

Classic Italian with a good range of pasta and seafood dishes. Although busy service was excellent; friendly but unobtrusive. Food is all cooked fresh but the wait was relatively short given the quality of what they are producing. Iā€™d book ahead as it was pretty full when we there.

Fantastic food! Great service from Mahi and the rest of the staff. Walked in on a Wednesday evening and was immediately seated. Highly recommend the Lamb Dosas and the Chef's signature Cheera Erachi Curry. I loved the lime pickle as well. Might be my new favorite condiment.

I had been to Kayalā€™s sister restaurant in Leicester, Herb, several times and decided to try here. Itā€™s amazing. The food is outstandingly good, freshly prepared, well presented and packed with flavour. Service is fabulous, exactly the right level of attentiveness, politeness and helpfulness. A great addition was a table magician who was excellent (I understand heā€™s there every Thursday). This is a great restaurant. Ps Plenty of gluten free and veggie options too.

Beautiful atmosphere inside the restaurant. The interior design is authentic and well planned. The restrooms were clean and kid friendly. We ordered Kayal soup (5/5 stars), pineapple Poli (5/5), chicken dosa (5/5), Kayal sadhya non-veg Thali (5/5), thenga soru (coconut rice - 4/5), appam (5/5) and Kallushap meen (fish) curry (3.5/5), gulab jamun with ice cream (5/5), fried plantain with ice cream (5/5). The waitress, Ms. Mahi was so good at interacting with the kids, spot on with the food advice /choices. Ms. Mahi has a wonderful smile, patience and humility throughout the time we stayed there. One other waiter, Mr. Aditya was very good interacting with us and the kids. He did great with his part of the work with a beautiful smile. Overall, great authentic Kerala food. We highly recommend it!

Family night out and not disappointed with the service or food. If ever want to try South Indian food than this is a place to try out at least once. I thoroughly enjoyed their dry Fish and chicken for starters and also their Chicken and Fish curries for mains! We ordered Paneer / Daal Fry for too but that was too bland for me. But overall food was good and would recommend to try once.

Excellent service and delicious food. The owner of this restaurant used to own the fantastic Salims next door. The food is still fresh and tasty. The food was delivered hot and we had to wait just the correct length of time for it. The personnel showed a great deal of compassion, if not a bit too much at times. The interior design was invigorating. I suggest coming to this place for a flavorful Indian dinner.

Really very impressed with Khazana. The food was absolutely superb; excellent flavours and just the right amount of spice. The Ghost was delicious and the lamb was so tender while the chilli paneer was very tasty. Service was impeccable and very friendly indeed. The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night which suggests how good this place is, which other restaurants around were almost empty. Certainly will be returning.

I booked here for my 21st birthday meal and the whole team were absolutely amazing throughout the entire night. With our booking of 18-22 people as well as the staff handling the reminder of the restaurant we were never left without or asking twice. The food was incredible and everyone was happy, it truly made my birthday stress free and i would highly recommend booking a table with this restaurant if you havenā€™t already . Thank you everyone again who worked tonight.

Loving setting, stunning interior for a restaurant. Our server Abdul is a wonderful waiter / staff member - he was super attentive to all the guests, knowledgeable with all the extra details about the restaurant and the menu and overall a really lovely person. He is definitely an addition to this restaurant. Food was great, it is expensive but we can see why as it was some of the best Indian food we've eaten and of course the service was outstanding so we understand the price range. Definitely recommend to family & freinds.

A beautiful setting for a peaceful, classy family dinner here at Varanasi. We arrived at 6pm as soon as they open, pre-booked the day before with deposit taken (Ā£10 per person). One improvement would be to have an online booking system- as you have to wait to be contacted back to confirm the booking which can be inconvenient. Moving onto the restaurant, the decor and setting was spectacular! The customer service and attentiveness from our waiter was spot on and the food came out quickly which we were pleased with. The starters were nice, the seekh kebab being the highlight. Nothing really stood out to be spectacular. the papri chaat flavours were lovely but the actual papri didnā€™t taste fresh unfortunately, some of it was crunchy, other parts of it tasted dated, soft and less fresh. For mains we had the lamb karai, it was nothing less than 5 stars- flavoursome, tasty and cooked to perfection. The naan breads were delicious too. To finish with we had the chocolate fondant cake and panna cotta dessert. The chocolate fondant flavours were pleasant but no fondant in the middle, literally the same texture throughout, tasted more like cake unfortunately. No sauce or melty middle! The panna cotta tasted okay too, it needed some texture to give it a bit more substance- even a crumble on the side would have been nice to go with it or berry compote. Overall, a lovely evening dinner. Unfortunately, very expensive for what you received, For the price tag + service charge you would expect each item to be of higher standard in terms of flavour and quality. Improvements would be, have an online booking system, papri chaat needs to be more fresh, chocolate fondant needs a melt in the middle. Looking forward to visiting again in the future hoping for a better experience!
