Fantastic lunch spot. The service was spot-on. Attentive but not intrusive. Very warm and welcoming without over-doing it. And the food, oh my. The food was out of this world. The most tender chicken, the dept of flavours on the gravy, the sweetness of the cabbage… just phenomenal! My wife had the steak w/ asparagus and garlic butter and it did not disappoint. The portion size is veery generous and all the garnishes and fixings were delicious. We’ve had worse in proper steakhouses local to us. The fact that only the best local produce is being served and all the love and passion invested really shows. Do yourself a favour and have a look at the wine on offer and ask for advice if you need to. Both great new world and old world options that will cater for everyone. This was a party of 4 that just walked up without booking and the team said yes with a big smile. Thank you all for our great lunch. Memories were made around that table.

Beautiful. Came over from Spain at the weekend to take my Nan here for her birthday. Spoke to the chef before going that week and asked what would be on the menu and he said depending on the day as we get everything locally, which I thought was fab and even better. Made the booking on Saturday and I must say we both really enjoy it, the seating are atmosphere, staff and the food was amazing and good portion and beautifully presented. I will be sure going back again when I return to the UK. Thank you so much.

If you are looking for somewhere for a romantic date night or somewhere to go for a phenomenal meal, look no where else but here. Attentive staff, amazing fresh food, accommodating to allergies, light and fresh atmosphere. Only grip would be not prompting for a card tip, who carries cash anymore. Will return when next over this way! Highly recommended...

A delightful experience. Owner and head chef, Gavin Barnes, met us before the meal and explained his ethos of using the best ingredients, and where possible sourced locally. He will not compromise on quality. Gavin trained under and has worked alongside some of the greatest chefs in the business and this manifests in the dishes he delivers. If you enjoy really good food I cannot recommend the Highstreet Kitchen enough. Treat yourself.

The food here is amazing! The people running it were lovely, happy to help and very quick service. Food was hot and tasty. The only issue was that it’s quite small in there and boiling hot. When I went here I had to take my food home as I couldn’t stand to eat in the heat. Air con would be a good idea.

We had the prawn toast and golden dipping prawns as starters, quite filling really delicious. We then had the red Thai curry which was super aromatic and flavoursome, such depth. Service was absolutely lovely. Highly recommend

What a gem of a restaurant, the food is excellent, portions are huge, costs reasonable and the place has a wonderfully chilled atmosphere. Yes service is a bit slow but absolutely well worth the wait. It’s BYO for alcohol which only adds to the charm.

From start to finish our experience dining at the Lighthouse was perfect. We’d phoned in the morning to let them know it was a special engagement meal and they couldn’t have done more for us. The welcome Prosecco, impeccable service, and a very thoughtful ‘congratulations’ board served with our desserts made it a very memorable meal. Heidi, our waitress was very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu. The food had such a depth of flavour, the meat was tender and cooked to perfection! I’d highly recommend the Lighthouse and look forward to visiting again. Thank you for a great evening!

Recently popped by The Lighthouse on a trip to Milton after seeing such good reviews. We booked in advance as a large table and were readily and kindly accommodated via email and the phone regarding the large booking. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and gives coast vibes, matching the idyllic location of the restaurant! Our food came out in food time once we had settled and as far as I am aware everyone enjoyed there meals, which were all very fresh! The staff were generally very warm, welcoming, and humorous, albeit one member who seemed to appear a bit frustrated with our table at times due to being large and perhaps a lot of manage? Regardless, the overall experience was good, and I would recommend The Lighthouse to those visiting the area!

And that is how you do service! Brilliant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff cared. A warm greeting as we arrived, asked how we were and created an easy rapport. Perfect. The food was good too. As a venue, amazing. With great decor and right next to the sea. We’ll be going back.

A very welcoming Restaurant Bar with a rang of flexible dining locations suitable for couples, families or lager groups outside under cover. Or even in pods. We don't tend to post food as there are enough out there already. We can recommend the Beef and Tribune ale pie and mash with green beans. Simple meal but served v hot and v tasty. It even comes with a 1/3rd pt taster of Tribune Ale as a bonus. We also had the Half Chicken which once again was excellent with a proper home cooked roast flavour. We turned up without a booking on a Sunday, but we would recommend booking as it was still quite busy after the Sunday Roast Rush! Toilets well kept, upstairs with Accessable toilet on ground floor. Can't wait to pass that way again.

I used to be head breakfast chef in a five star hotel, so I am quite hard to please.....I went here for Sunday lunch today. I walked in out of the very cold day to a very warm and clean interior. The welcome was very warm too, from the front of house lady, Alina, who was very professional, courteous, friendly, kind and caring. Just a lovely person. The rest of the staff were also very good, friendly, attentive and aware. I ordered the roast chicken. It was just right in terms of quality and quantity, and all cooked very well, very satisfying, and with the added bonus of unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud, and gravy. A nice touch, which I availed myself of, to the extent I felt I needed to walk for two hours after lunch along the beautiful Highcliffe coastline nearby. The desert was a new and innovative twist on apple crumble, again, a nice sized portion, and cooked very well, delicious. I dine out often, and in a varied assortment of venues. I would not hesitate to say that this was my best experience currently of Sunday roast dining. They have a very good balance here of efficiency and friendliness, good food and good atmosphere. A class act overall, in my opinion, I shall certainly be returning. 10/10.

Such a lovely place! Staff are super friendly. We managed to get a last minute reservation on a Sunday afternoon and it was so worth it, we ate our main meals inside and had puddings and more drinks in a beach hut that was made up for us. I can safely say the duck was probably the best I've had!! It was a first visit for myself, my partner and our dog but it won't be our last to say the least 🥰

For our first and only time experience, with the Oaks, last Sunday, 11th August 2024, this place is definitely a real find and worth going back for more...and not just for seconds!! Our party of 11 (9 adults and two children) was accommodated at short notice with a phone call the same morning. The place is massive and very spacious inside and out. Great layout. For our size party they gave us bench seats in the garden under a huge canopy (good cover in any weather). The food options were great and varied, and tasty. Most of us opted for the roast. Huge yorky puds, along with tastefully presented meals. They also accommodated our requests for more roasties, puds and gravy. The desserts were sublime and I tried a mint choc souffle with choc ice cream. All gratefully appreciated. No disappointments and the service was first rate too. Attentive and personal. Noted for next time when staying/visiting the New Forest area. Great entertainment for family and kids too with the beer garden games and furniture.

Would prefer the gluten and dairy free mushroom starter as option which my friend had as cheese thing in the afternoon tea is too strong for me personally. Would love to see lemon and poppy seed scone. Would love a small shot glass size Eton Mess or lemon curd pudding or triffle just a different texture to all cake. Other cakes could be smaller in that instance perhaps ? Bit crowded today v busy had to go and ask for more drinks twice could do with a few more staff on those days but it wasnt a disaster I just felt like a pain asking for more tea nothing the staff did to make me feel like that. They guys as usual parked my car as had disabled people with me thats so helpful. Love taking all the cakes home as you cannot fit it all in so thats a lovely treat for after. I personally would love to have to option of taking some of the breakfast tea home to accompany the cakes the next day but that's just me as the tea is so good. Staff are super helpful as always and try to make everything perfect.amazing birthday treat was able to take a few more cakes home as my birthday such a thoughtful gesture. We were celebrating my birthday the staff are always super helpful with connie, connie loves going at 98 years old as its nice to make positive memories at the end of her journey.

We had an amazing afternoon, celebrating a friend visit from Brazil. We were all very impressed with the art and deco. Many pictures were taken and shared on our social media. We had the best Christmas dinner at the Kitchen. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for looking after us so well. Particular mention goes to Wallace who was super friendly and took the time to make sure everything was perfect for us, without being intrusive. The loveliest lunch we have had in a very long time. The staff were so accommodating when we turned up with a toddler who we hadn’t booked for. They quickly found a bigger table and made a place setting with a menu, children’s plate and cutlery and cup and straw. The service, food, ambience was all phenomenal and we could not be more grateful to you for making our birthday celebration such a happy one! Thank you!

Amazing calamari and cod dish. Perfectly cooked. Cannot fault it! The vegan cheesecake was nice, clearly some thought has been given to the dessert as it is not just a token vegan option. Wouldn’t recommend the pizza, it was fine - but when there are other amazing options, it fell short. Definitely returning

As we staying at the local holiday park, this was our first time ordering. The lady that took the order on the phone was very helpful when I asked about delivery to our holiday park reception. We were told that we would be called when the driver was leaving and heading to us. After just 12 minutes we received that call. I met the driver in the reception. Food piping hot, back at our accommodation we ate one of the best Chinese Takeaways that we have had for a while. Highly recommend. Food was well cooked and extremely delicious. Shame we don't live closer, as we eat from them more often. 6 ⭐️ review.

Nice enough for what it is and, convenient if you want to eat on site. The bar is pretty well equipped and the staff were very polite.

Used this restaurant several times whilst staying at Hoburne Naish, Staff friendly and helpful plus kindly put the darts on for me, Plenty of tables and service was good, only disappointment was not great vegetarian choice on menu, However the vegetarian burger was superb and so was the breakfast, Will return on our next visit.

Visited here twice on our weekend to Naish. Once when we arrived we ordered a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which at £33 we did gawp. Yes, expected to be £28-30 usually. But can be found as low as £25 even in central London. Anyway, sat and drank it in the very limited and poorly furnished outside space to the front of the clubhouse. On the Monday we queued outside the clubhouse until 9am when it opened and we ordered breakfast. The food was excellent. Everyone agreed. We were the only customers and there were 2/3 staff. When I ordered the young lady took the order (5 drinks for 3 people) and asked if I wanted a tray I said yes please. But upon realising that the order would take a while to manufacture 1 latte, 1 mocha & 1 tea. I decided to slope back to our table to where the young lady eventually bought the drinks for us. I just felt that this should have been offered, there were no other customers and clearly I didn’t want to stand at the bar for several minutes waiting to carry a tray. We had sat down for a meal. Just felt a little poor service if I’m honest, maybe understandable if busy.

Serves coffee and cakes but there is also a bar. Minimal wait to be served with indoor and outdoor seating. Access to the crazy golf and arcade area from that outside seating makes it relaxing for the adults and fun for that children.

Really nice food we had the chop and chips. Service was slow but worth the wait. Sat outside in the sun with nice quiet music . There's a play area for the children. Toilets were nice and clean. Plenty of outside seating.

We have decided to come to The Rising Sun for lunch as it has nice reviews and we can say the same. It is situated in the New Forest by itself with a large car park. The building is huge and pretty as the outside space with a space for the children to play and different ambience where to eat. Inside it is a formal and an informal room, the restaurant or the pub and outside there are different levels and terraced floors with tables and chairs. You can choose to be by the shade, under a tree or anywhere about. The food is ordered at the till and they promptly serve the food. There are lots of waitresses and the service is very good. We ordered a Sunday roast and it was very nice. We really enjoyed it. Fresh vegetables and no frying food. The portion was good and the flavour excellent. We also ordered a starter of pate which came with just one slice of bread and I think for the price, one more slice would be better. We just had coke to drink, it was a large glass served with ice. A very relaxing place full of people but everyone was enjoying their time there.

We had a lovely Bank Holiday afternoon at The Rising Sun. The welcome was friendly and the service was great, a special mention to Sally, who looked after us! They have three areas that you can sit, the restaurant and have table service, or the lovely garden with large playground or in the bar area. If you choose the garden or bar you need to order your food at the bar, the restaurant is table service. There is also an opportunity to have pizzas cooked from their outside pizza oven! The menu was good. I only gave four stars for food as we thought the burger was a little over priced! As you see from my previous posts my son does like his burgers! The fish & scampi were delicious 😋

I visited the House Martin today for the first time for lunch. It was the best lunch I’ve had for a long time. Ashley and his team made us feel so welcome and made the experience even more special. The food was incredible and some of the nicest I’ve had in the area Can’t wait to come back

The House Martin in New Milton is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm, cozy atmosphere which at the same time feels open and inviting thanks to the high ceilings and abundance of natural light. Now, let’s talk about the food – the brisket burger was undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, it’s worth visiting for that alone. The rest of the menu looked just as tempting too. A special shoutout has to go to Ashley. He was brilliant – super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. His service really stood out and made the whole experience even better. The service was fast, the staff were lovely, and the overall vibe was spot on. Whether you’re local or just passing through, I can’t recommend the House Martin enough. It’s a fantastic spot for great food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

First time going to the house martin, warm atmosphere and friendly welcome! Ash was absolutely wonderful and provided an outstanding service. The food was absolutely beautiful (Spiced chicken burger & side of onion rings 😋), lovely place to lunch with friends 🙂 will definitely be returning. Upon arriving we also noticed they do evening entertainment too, so we will be arranging a girly evening in the near future.

Been here for drinks a few times, bar service has always been really good with bar staff very friendly. We decided to come back for dinner as the menu looked really nice. The garlic bread with cheese was fantastic, they used two types of cheese which made it taste amazing! Would highly recommend the brisket burger too, just melted in your mouth and had a wonderful flavour! Would definitely visit here for food again in the future. Also the extension to the pub restaurant is really quirky with lots of bird cages hanging in between the rafters, that area had a really lovely atmosphere!
