My son has been attending the GCSE maths drop in sessions since the beginning of year 11. I only wish he had started in year 10! We added an extra 1 to 1 session in the run up to the GCSEs for an extra boost. Issac and Sean are fantastic teachers. My son has improved so much. Both Issac and Sean explain things in a way that he understands and at his pace. 100% recommend.

My daughter struggled with spelling, and we attended these lessons for the past three years. My daughter always felt encouraged and looked forward to every session. We’ve now stopped as she has caught up with her peers, thanks to the incredible progress she made in these classes. It was sad to leave, but I feel like the project has been successfully completed.

Tom helped me so much when it came to understanding the true depth to biology as a subject . I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. My son has been studying English and Maths at the Kumon Chandler's Ford Centre with Varsha and her assistants for 9 months now. Due to Varsha's excellent teaching and guidance, my son has improved immensely in his reading, writing, and maths. I cannot recommend Varsha enough. I am pleased with the progress my two children are making with their Maths and English. They have gained so much confidence since starting the Kumon program, especially my oldest, who is Autistic, as it has provided him with the academic support he needs to remain in mainstream school. I’m not going to lie; it is hard work, but if done with consistency, it builds confidence and resilience, not to mention their academic progress. Varsha and her assistants are always accommodating and professional. What makes it great is that the assistants have been on the programme, have the insight required, and can relate to the students whom they support.

My son has been going to Whiteley Explore Learning for more than 2 years now and I could not speak more highly of it. A combination of SEND needs, unsuccessful home schooling during the pandemic and a need for my son to have more 121 support meant that I looked for private tutoring and was recommended Explore. At first my son was reluctant to attend, but now it's his special place and he's very happy to go. The staff are wonderful, incredibly supportive and adapt to his needs. If I find out my son is struggling with a topic at school, I let the team at Explore know and we work as a team to help improve his understanding of the topic, so that he grows in confidence and ultimately ability to tackle the topic. I particularly like the parents meetings, where I get more insight on my son's progress and abilities than I get at school's parents evenings. They can pinpoint which month of which school year your child is working at, which is so much more useful to know. The team at Explore are incredible, so supportive of parents concerns and they get to know all the children really well and create a wonderful learning environment. If you're in any doubt, try it!

I would like to extend a massive thank you to Aaron and his team for their support for my children. My girls had not completed the curriculum for Year 3 when they started Year 4, to my shock, when we joined Explore. Their progress had been badly hampered by Covid and schools closing for so many months. A year later one of my girls succeeded in achieving an Academic Scholarship and both girls have just been awarded places in two of the top independent schools in Hampshire. Our son was struggling with maths at school and it was just a few months before his GCSE's when we decided to send him to 'I love to learn' (as recommended by a friend) I had concerns that we'd left it too late, but thanks to Howard and his team, our son quickly gained confidence in areas of maths he'd previously given up on at school. The one to one sessions he received were extremely effective and he progressed well in a short space of time, and managed to pass his Maths GCSE! Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. We left it very late in the day to start preparing and Nicola agreed to tutor across the summer term and summer holidays - primarily using group work with additional one-on-one sessions on top.
