Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. I'd wholeheartedly recommend her if you are an adult wishing to pick up or polish your French or Spanish. We also laugh a lot!

Cate was very good at assessing where our son was with his French and systematically helped him work on his weaker areas. His confidence in his ability to speak, read and write in French grew beyond what he ever imagined he would achieve, with the final proof being a very respectable GCSE grade. Paul was a lecturer for one of my modules and have kept in touch with him through out my studying. Once I had my oral booked I signed up for the e-learning and booked in clinics and 1-2-1s. The e-learning is very thorough and gives a lot of information on all topics. The clinics are a great way to meet study buddies and learn a lot of different information. The privates sessions are great and all the tutors will tailor them to your needs. Tim has really helped my daughter with her math confidence. She was completely blocked when it came to maths. Tim has created a wonderful rapport with her and convinced her that math is not so terrible after all, I cannot stress enough what an achievement this is! We would highly recommend Tim and his team of fantastic teachers. We discovered that our 15 year old son was well behind in his Maths and Science six months before his GCSE exams. He was also going through a difficult period in school at the time. Tim, Sonja and Mustapha were very positive and encouraging and patient with him. What can i say, I feel we have found the perfect tutor. Maths GCSE Chess Physics We had been struggling with our year 6 son for a couple of years as he has a natural aptitude for mathematics and was not getting any challenge from school and disengaging. After talking with numerous tutors i found Tim and had the most positive engaging conversation and his passion was unbelievable. Nicola is an excellent tutor and we highly recommend. She successfully tutored our son to pass the 11+ exam. Our son enjoyed her sessions and looked forward to attending each week. The sessions were engaging and spot on in content and the exam preparation made sure our son felt calm and focused on the day. We will definitely use Nicola again for our second child.

Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. We left it very late in the day to start preparing and Nicola agreed to tutor across the summer term and summer holidays - primarily using group work with additional one-on-one sessions on top. 1 year ago my daughter was so far behind in her maths and english i thought i needed a miracle after help at her school was turned down i didnt no where to turn until i found kip on the internet. Jan has been absolutely fantastic and finally my daughter at nearly 13 years old has been diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Jan worked with my daughter for 4 hours over two days and conducted the relevant testing. Jan explained everything thoroughly and clearly and both myself and my daughter were at ease the whole time. We have been lucky to find Jan and I am so happy that now we have answers. Without the help from Jan my daughter would not be diagnosed as unfortunately the schools don’t seem to do this so well.
