We had a fantastic visit! We were staying at Solent Breeze, and this place was just a 9-minute drive away. It’s very dog-friendly, with biscuits, water, and puppuccinos, our dog absolutely loved it. The breakfast menu was impressive, with well-presented, high-quality, and delicious food. The coffee was also excellent and great staff. We’ll definitely be back!

We love High Tides and are huge fans of their Supper Club evenings. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Service is friendly and attentive but never intrusive. The photos are of my starter and main choices. Food is pre-ordered which means that there isn’t a long wait after being seated. One of the best places to eat in the area and very good value. Highly recommended!

Just visiting area and saw the reviews. Have to say we went on two occasions and each time the food and service was first class. I had the full English on the first visit which was outstanding. Quality sausages and bacon. Eggs with a golden yolk. Second occasion had the eggs Benedict. The eggs perfectly poached and soft, the hollandaise sauce was fresh and delicious. Couldn't fault it. Service excellent too. Wont disappoint.

Organised a private event here and it was a brilliant evening. The team were fantastic, very attentive and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We chose the charcuterie boards which were incredible! Would highly recommend eating, drinking or having a private event here.

Called in for breakfast. They had only been open for 3 weeks. The bacon baguettes were large and very tasty. Excellent coffees. Very friendly service. Very tastefully furnished. Spotless loos.

A nice smart cafe on the waterfront in Warsash just down from the Rising Sun pub. A couple of pay to car park are nearby. An airy light interior with comfortable seating & there is outside seating with a view. I had a tasty generous serving ice cream cone & a cuppa, my partner had a hot chocolate again in large cup & a butter cookie. Food prices are a little steep but I suppose you get what you pay for as it is quality & the location. Great for refreshments after a river walk or for meeting up with friends.

Love to call in here to pick up a coffee - perfect every time. Staff always friendly. Enjoy sitting in here on occasions, but maybe wet dogs could be left outside if they're going to shake themselves off and add seawater/hair/fleas to our drinks?! Funny, but gross... Hope this Mermaids stays open for a long time. 👌

My wife went for the fried breakfast & I decided upon the eggs Benedict. Great, good value food, fantastic friendly service. Would certainly recommend this to anyone who happens to be in the area 👍🏼

I was there for the first time today. We bought a house nearby and I decided to look around the area. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was amazing and very fresh. I didn't notice that you can only pay in cash, but the lady behind the counter said I could withdraw cash from a nearby ATM and pay later. I was surprised by the warmth and trust. There aren't many places like that anymore.

Good old fashioned cafe where the prices are great and the food phenomenal. Greeted with a warm smile, and they make you feel at home. If you want a comfortable stop that will leave your wallet, happy this is it.

Came here today whilst paddling with my friend and was so happy to see the cafe open. We were sad when the last one closed. It was nice to float there on our boards and talk to other people who had paddled or boated out to the cafe 🌊 I ordered the vegan bubble and squeak which was fresh and hot and tasted really good. My friend got the burger which looked amazing. Staff were very friendly, and it was busy but they got all the orders done with only a little wait considering there's only two people catering for a lot. Will definitely come again! Thank you.

Great toasties, must be brushed with butter before toasting as a good crunch to them. Simple salad but the olive oil and balsamic upgrades it. Coffee milkshake also is good (not quite Josie’s level though), bit thicker would be better. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Price is good value

Had a sausage and egg bap. I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever had! They were very busy but still got our food out in a timely manner and all staff were very friendly. I look forward to coming back again.

A great little cafe with a nice cozy atmosphere, has a good range of light foods and drinks. Staff are very friendly and get to know you and love to see you if you're regular. They were happy to accommodate with food. Perfect for going out with friends / family /dates and mothers day for coffee :)

A bit pricey, but quality food with excellent portion sizes - bountiful, you could say. Their coffee is excellent, but variable depending one who makes it: if my second cup had been my first, I wouldn't have bought a second.

January 2024 Still cracking bacon 🥓 baguettes. Note less internal seating space now. Great News, great news…. MERMAIDS COFFEE SHOP now back ‘in residence’ at Universal Marina. After transitioning through a mobile coffee outlet (from a van) they are now back in their previous building… just like the ‘good old days’ …. Same comfortable seating, same excellent coffee ☕️ and cakes. Best wishes to Johno and team… look forward to the return of the log burning stove 🤔😂👏👍✊👌. To think I lived in the same road for years and never tried it. Busy bustling little place . Great coffee and extensive menu. Food looked good but I opted the the Greek Salad as I was in a diet. At £2.90 for a good sized bowl wax great value .will definitely be back

What a lovely gem of a place, right alongside the river next to the jetty area. Stopped here twice now while in the area and couldn’t fault the food or service, we ordered online and the drinks came quite quickly followed by the food which was really nicely cooked and presented. Luckily both times we stopped here the weather was nice sunshine so sat in the upper section which have good views out to the river. Relaxed atmosphere and didn’t feel rushed at all., seating on the roof section is wooden benches (picnic table type) and the ones on the ground floor restaurant area are mainly tube framed tube type tables and chairs which go well in the area and feels like a marine type place. Prices for the lighter breakfast is not overly priced at £8- considering the quality and service The full English I saw certainly would help fill the hungry bears in your family. . There was a very good selection of Vegan options so sure to be able to fill most appetites. Called again while in the area and had the breakfast as it looked good, not disappointed at all. Nothing like a nice eve and bacon on toast made from a runny egg. 😋

A really lovely spot for coffee and cake by the water in Hamble. It was very peaceful when I visited, and was lovely to just sit back and watch the world go by. I’ll definitely be back!
