Visited Guido’s for the first time after hearing great things. My expresso martini was fabulous! The staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and very polite. My tomato, goats cheese, onion and crispy parma ham starter was delightful, some really great flavours and textures. And the pizza! The pizza was so delicious, perfect dough and cooked beautifully!!! We all had a amazing meal/experience and agreed we would definitely be back.

What a find! Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time. Everything is fresh and beautifully cooked with true authentic atmosphere. Staff are lovely. So friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is sophisticated, with a lovely scent of fresh pizzas. Shame we're only in the area on a short break as I would be back here regularly!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. This was our first visit and despite being on a Tuesday evening it was incredibly busy. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We shared a starter, Risotto Al Salts (amazing Sauteed risotto cake, crispy pigs cheek, cheese and pepper zabaione) then both had Margherita and added toppings.

Great Pizza, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere, what more could you want? Desert? That was yummy too!

Wow, Wow and wow. A delicious and stunning feast. Ordered dinner for 2 a sushi feast. Delivered to our home...perfect ordering system and faultless delivery. Already looking forward to our next meal. Thank you to all your team...Chef loved every bite.

Pretty good sushi. The rice is well cooked, albeit a bit dense, and the fish quality is good. Nice to be able to pick it up from a fairly local delivery point. Worth the price

I ordered a selection of sushi & two heat at home dishes with rice from their new autumn menu. I had already heard from friends how good this food was so knew it would be something to look forward too! Was really delighted with just how delicious this was - having lived in Singapore & Taiwan and travelled extensively in the region I know a bit about Asian food. I cannot recommend this highly enough it’s beautifully prepared and packed arriving in tip top condition. The portions were generous (we have enough sushi for lunch tomorrow as none of our choices had raw fish) and I am already looking at the menu for a delivery when my daughter comes to visit. Thank-you to Neil & his team. You have created something really special.

We had an amazing delivery of lovely sushi from Little Fish for a special dinner at home. The quality was fantastic, the delivery person was friendly and prompt, it was all displayed beautifully. There is no doubt we will be ordering from Little Fish again and so glad to have discovered this gem so far outside of London!

Out of the way place, but so so pretty esp the beer garden. Went for the chalk water trout was not disappointed & will be coming back again soon!. Unfortunately, it was a Monday & service was quite slow, hence the 4 stars. I'm going to go for a weekend brunch next time in the near future to see if service is different. Cocktails were great, too!. Would recommend & will go again. TO ADD been a few times since my initial review. They're recruiting if anyone's looking for a job. There were more staff, hence my rating going from 4-5. The food is delicious & I'm trying to work myself through it all. I had the venison pie of the day from the special's menu. We came here last night and we absolutely loved it! We had the shared Camembert to start off with which was delicious! I then had the sausages and mash which was amazing as well. Such a lovely cosy pub to go too! Would definitely love to come back and recommend ☺️

We arrived without a table booking on a very busy Sunday, with 3 dogs in tow. They managed to offer us a lovely outdoor, heated seating area, so we could have lunch. Portion sizes were enormous (the dogs got the leftovers), food was delicious and served nice and hot. There was atleast 3 choices of meat on offer for the Sunday roast, along with a great choice of other mains. Typical gastro pub pricing, around £15-24 per main for adults. Whilst we were there 4 horse riders turned up for hot chocolate and chips, and the landlord bought carrots out for the horses. So definitely dog & horse friendly.

A fabulous celebration for my mum's 80th, the team at the Deers Hut were very accommodating and made us very welcome. The food was delicious and served promptly and accurately. A good wine selection at fair prices too. As a group of 18 diners, this can be a challenge. Thanks for helping us celebrate!

Not been here for more than 12 years. Happy to say the standard is as high as ever. I always have a hankering for their Eccles cakes, they are the best, loads of filling, crispy and sweet.

Ordered a personalized Cake for my last day at work. Totally happy with the cake and it tasted as good as it looks. Thank you very much!

So I decided to come here on a Friday morning and was pleasantly surprised that the place was actually open at this time as most bakery’s are not. Had a nice selection of bread with some choices such as sausage rolls and other type of rolls that you usually would find in Greggs. I found the staff to be super friendly even it was early and the shop was nice and clean. They also serve hot drinks which was a nice surprise. The food here is very good and I would highly recommend a visit. Super friendly staff and a great place. The prices are also good not expensive at all.

Thank you for making my 11 year old daughter’s birthday so special. The sleepover package is such a lovely set up and the girls loved it. The midnight snack bag and breakfast box also gave it that extra special touch. All at a very reasonable Price.

We hired Number One The Square out for our daughters' christening. We couldn't have asked for more. The food buffet was delicious, which consisted of a range of sandwich platters, crisps, and cake selection. The venue was decorated beautifully with balloon garland and lights.

We recently visited for a comedy night. It’s a lovely intimate venue with a great atmosphere. We had food and drinks before hand and during the interval. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. All in all, a great evening at a local venue.

Nikki and her team provided outside catering for our daughters wedding celebration in our garden. The food, service , and overall ability to provide everything we asked for was perfect, Special thanks also to Rob, Courtenay and Zoe for their contributions to making this the perfect day

Had a lovely time at Old Thorns for a couples Spa weekend. The Spa itself is very clean and well run, and the facilities are also great from pools to the saunas and steam rooms. The hotel staff are great and the rooms are not bad, despite a bit of damp we noticed. Overall our experience was good, not rating a 5 as we found the Hotel food in the Kings Restaurant to be very bland, underwhelming and very few menu options, specifically dinner. Breakfast was pretty good. In saying that, do try out the sports bar and Oties, a lot more food options but not the cheapest.

A beautiful hotel and lovely rooms. I got married here in April and stayed in one of the two bed apartments for two nights. The apartments have everything you need if you want to cook and the whole space was to a very good standard with beautiful views of the golf course. The dining facilities and the pool area are lovely (leisure facilities were busy on the weekend). Breakfast has a wide selection of food and staff are very welcoming and attentive. Great for a relaxing break and will certainly be back.

We checked in online via the link provided and arrived before the 3pm checkin to use the gym - room was ready so we where able to get to our room. Gym facilities are very good lots of space and equipment. The spa was busy but staff constantly checked numbers and after a very short wait we entered the spa and pool area steam room sauna hot beds and pool busy but no wait for anything. Free drink voucher to use in either bar and dinner at 7.45 nice relaxed well paced service. Breakfast was good plenty of choice and tasty. Room was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend a Old Thorns package.

Had a fantastic spa weekend at The Old Thorns Spa & Resort! The venue was absolutely lovely, with excellent spa facilities that made for a truly relaxing experience. The gym was impressively large—bigger than any other spa hotel I’ve visited before, which was a great bonus. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and everything was well-maintained. I’ll definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend.

The food here is fantastic and the portions very generous. Staff were friendly and welcoming. They took into account my dietary requests with ease so I couldn’t fault this place at all. Fantastic!

Went for a 10.15am brunch for the very first time me after a lovely dog walk at Waggoners Wells. Coffee made by Katie was fantastic. Cooked breakfast was delicious using locally sourced produce. Staff were warm and welcoming and made the whole experience a special occasion. Dylan the Springer was welcomed too and personal water bowl provided. We will be back!

This is the first time visiting The Green Dragon and oh my goodness, it's definitely not the last!! The food is incredible. Everything is so fresh and light, with gorgeous flavours and beautiful colours (I was so excited to eat the main dish that I forgot to take a photo...) I'm not usually a dessert person but after the amazing starter and main, I had to treat myself. I'm glad I did. I cannot fault the food here. The service was excellent. The waitresses were so polite, proper and in contagiously good moods. The food came out fast, which was impressive because I would have thought something this perfect would take a long time to create. They are awesome in their kitchen craft here. We dined on a Friday night, and The Green Dragon is also a bar so expect a loud environment! It's beautiful inside, with rustic size-changing tables and homely decor. The only thing I would change about this evening is where we sat. We thought it might be nice to be by an open window but it happened to be next to the smoking area and the smell has clung to our clothes. This isn't something that can be helped and no fault of the restaurant, but its something to be mindful of if you go. Very, very good value. We were a party of 3, each having 3 courses, around 6 alcoholic beverages, and a coffee, and we were able to keep the bill to a little over £100, not including a tip. We have come home with full bellies, big smiles and the takeaway menu 😈 Thank you all so much and see you again soon!

Absolutely amazing food,service and we sat all night and weren't hurried out like alot if place

We had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant here tonight and it was one of the most incredible meals I've ever had. We had the Tuk Tuk Banquet and every dish was absolutely delicious. Incredible flavours, perfectly cooked, authentic Thai cuisine, and excellent value. Highly recommend.

Authentic Thai food made by Thai chefs. Good priced ales, nice atmosphere, its an over 25s pub, so that helps. Update: It's a Thai fusion pub, so I had katsu Chicken, which is Japanese, and it was incredible! There is a car park around the back that you have to drive through a very narrow entrance to get through, vw campervan size is just about OK. There is an outdoor seating area at the back, including undercover areas for smokers.

Excellent service! I had a Sunday roast outside in their lovely seating area, which had shady and sunny spots, and even blankets for the winter to hand. The food was gorgeous, came out quickly, and was very filling. The whole team was incredibly understanding and when the food was missing a few items, came out with more food to compensate. Even the manager came out to personally apologise, even for the small inconvenience. Wonderful experience from the staff here and the food matched that service!

It's an excellent restaurant for all of the family. We had pizzas for lunch. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff were very pleasant.

Delicious pizza in a warm friendly atmosphere. We chose the pizza but have eaten from main menu before and never disappointed. Tonight there was live music and a dance floor to make it a perfect night out with friends or family. Will be back again very soon, great local pub well worth visiting if your in the area.

Service and food was good. Thanks to Mow who served us. Very attentive. Had the Classic chicken New York. 2 chicken breaststroke with bacon and fries. Was far too much for me so I shared it with my son. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Thank you

Massive improvement at the Royal Anchor, stopped coming here a few months back as food was below standard for the hungry horses (I use all the Hungry horses) . New chef Jamie and Shona on the bar made today's very enjoyable experience . The once below parr food was today excellent such an improvement.

The food is not only delicious but also served in generous portions, which is always a plus. They offer a fantastic selection of lagers, too. What really stood out to me was how attentive the staff is; they genuinely care about making sure you have everything you need for a satisfying experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, creating a cozy, home-like feeling, and the decor is simply beautiful. It’s a lovely place to spend time and feel at ease. Please note that the quantity in the picture is smaller than what we actually received. It was just too delicious to wait!

I had to leave a review because the service from Jamie, Harry and Katie was exemplary. I had to pay my compliments to the chef Jamie as the food he cooked was absolutely perfect. The chicken was soft and tender, the new take on the nachos was exciting and the chicken strips were coated perfectly. Harry the barman was very friendly and helped me decide on my order where I was unsure on what to have. He was very chill and we had a nice chat whilst he poured my drinks. Katie, who I believed to be the manager, came after my meal was served and checked all was ok and gave me a great recommendation on what to have for next time and you could see clearly loved working here. To see all the staff happy like that really made my afternoon as it was clear they loved what they do and they were getting joy from making me and my mother’s experience a great one. Perfect staff team, brilliant people, lovely location! (I had Super Special Epic Chicken New Yorker, Halloumi Fries and mum had the Ultimate Big Combo Sharer! She says it was definitely 5 Star and is known to be fussy. Don’t tell her I said that. 😉)
