The Best Cafes in Aldern Bridge, Hampshire, United Kingdom (2025)

I had a velvetiser from a famous company for Christmas, and fell in love with their white chocolate. However it worked out at nearly £1.50 a cup !! I searched on line and found moon roast white hot chocolate flakes. Wow, it is absolutely delicious, so tasty and works really well in my Velvetiser. It works out at 56p a cup. I will be buying from Moon roast every time 🙂🙂♥️

Nice discovery after recommendation by friends. Lovely location on a farm in the Hampshire countryside. Tasty cup of takeaway Sumatran coffee. Will return to try out the country walks signposted around

The Yard at Moon Roast is an idyllic spot to have a coffee or light meal outside on a Summers day. Plenty of tables inside too. Nice staff and a Hampshire farm hipster feel, the house-roasted coffee is wonderful, and the cakes delicious. I had smoked trout on toast … delicious. Really cycle friendly. A very special place.

One word: Spectacular. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They feature only high grade coffee beans and have a phenomenal selection of roasts. Sit in the cosy tasting room or on the patio with a lovely countryside view, and enjoy a tasting of the different roasts and beans. This is a real treat for any coffee fanatic.

I always say, there is nothing better than a small business. They are just way better than any chain of shops or restaurants out there. They just are. We started visiting Rufus Independent Coffee House in Newbury and we are so happy about it. The place it is so nice and relaxing, the music is nice and just perfect sound, playing in the background. Not too loud, but you can still enjoy it, just perfect. Nice coffee, nice teas and a nice selection of crisps. The staff is super friendly and helpful! And now let me tell you about my favourites! The Chocolate Fudge Cake, it is unbelievably GOOD. It is not your normal chocolate fudge cake, it is especially made by someone, have no idea who for sure is a master in making cakes :))) And the pastries, oh my goodness, just so, so, so good. If you enjoy quality and a relaxing place, you have to visit this place, it is a must! Rufus is now one of my favourite places in Newbury and they are not that many.

Only just found this place been back twice already for the 'Cronuts' - dulce de leche were the best ever ! Really friendly team - and great decor - posters and photo books take me back to my youth !! You can request the jukebox tunes too ! 😋

Lovely new coffee house in Newbury with a wide range of pastries, cake and snack options. I had an oat latte, an amazing cheese and marmite crumpet and a piece of carrot bundt cake. My daughter had an almond croissant and a lemonade. Good service and a great atmosphere. The cinema seating is super comfy. A new favourite, we will definately be coming back.

Went here on a recommendation as I don’t usually come to this part of the town centre. I would definitely recommend a visit. Coffee was probably the best I’ve had in Newbury. There was also a nice selection of cakes on offer. There was a nice atmosphere in the cafe too, neither noisy or library quiet. Will 100% be coming again.

Milk and Bean is an incredible independent coffee shop. I’ve been several times for coffee and cake, both are delicious. They have a great selection including vegan options and the staff are always so friendly and happy. I have also joined a couple of the JWS runs that start and finish at Milk and Bean, not only great coffee but they also do a fantastic job supporting the local community!

Hands down the nicest place for coffee in Newbury. Cosy and super dog friendly - dog treats and blankets provided free of charge! I always recommend this as a good spot to dog owners. Coffee and pastries are delicious and the owners, Chris and Freya, are absolutely lovely. As previous reviews have stated, there isn’t a customer loo but I’ve never found this a problem given the coffee shop is conveniently situated in the town centre, with access to many loos. Always worth a visit, especially if you’ve got a puppy in tow!

Easily the best coffee in Newbury! My husband and I made it our new weekly tradition to have Milk and bean Fridays! We go every week and no coffee compares! Chris and Freya are always so welcoming and it’s like supporting friends! Dog friendly as well so what’s not to love! The pastries are also delicious!

The best coffee shop in Newbury, hands down. The pastries are next level, the coffee is really excellent, and the team are so lovely. Going there for a morning coffee and pastry is one of the highlights of my week.

It’s a loverly little coffee shop that serves cake and coffee ( tea) with lots of local art on the walls. Run by a couple who live on site. It’s good to support local businesses. Reasonably priced drinks. Cakes are around £3.50 to £4 which is quite high in my opinion.

Definitely my go to place, for the absolutely best choice of real homemade cakes and buns coffee and teas. Friendly and welcoming. A real treasure of a place surrounded by artwork which can be purchased.

Delightful staff, lively atmosphere with a brilliant automotive environment which is perfect to petrolheads. Paired with incredible coffee and delicious food, this place is brilliant. I come here with my laptop regularly and I'm delighted every time. One small thing I should note is that takeaway drinks are clearly a lower priority than customers dining in, which is very nice if you're dining-in, but can take quite a while if you're having take-away. That said, the team are really friendly, and I can't do the coffee justice with words!

Indescribable experience. It is so popular. The Coffee is exceptional, and the food delicious. If you're a car enthusiast, just go!

This place is great! Very welcoming and comfortable. The little shop is a nice touch too. The drinks and food are very reasonable and extremely tasty too. And the staff are better!!

We take our 2 y/o granddaughter to the play cafe at Arlebury Cafe once a week. A safe and well run play cafe with a great selection of play equipment. Booking ahead online means that there is no overcrowding and I've seen people be politely turned away if they've arrived with a child without a booking. Good selection of food for the children and the adults. Great staff. Parents and grandparents are all friendly and personable. There's a lift for the prams. Parking free for 2 hours, just press green on the machine.

Friendly staff, my wife and I had a full English Breakfast after a very nice cup of cappuccino. Great views of the countryside and football field.

Fantastic place to hold a child's birthday party!! The soft play and toys are brilliant. They were set out clean and tidy. The food was lovely, the staff were super friendly and helpful!! Great communication from start to finish! The chocolate birthday cake was delicious and had a wonderful cake topper provided by Somecuts Over The Rainbow. Thank you again 😊

We have been a few times before so I desided to book an afternoon tea for 4 to celebrate our friends 40th birthday and it was perfect. The food was amazing as always and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Thank you for letting us decorate the table with a balloon and table decoration, she had a lovely day.

A definite must if you in the local area. Loads of parking in an ideal location. Nice menu with lots of choice. I opted for the egg mayo with a little salad. Great coffee. Thank you

Halloween afternoon tea for the children. Very popular at lunchtime. All food served was to a good standard. Very pleasant service.

Had a weekday lunch for two and wasn't disappointed. The food was fab, good portion sizes, and reasonably priced. Staff were cool and efficient under pressure. We ate the snide but there are plenty of outside seating. Would highly recommend l.

Wonderful! We went to Friday night's music evening and everything about the venue was just perfect - the music; the street food courtesy of Earth to Oven; indoor and outdoor seating which interconnects beautifully in one space, and an overall 'holiday' vibe in tastefully designed surroundings. We will definitely be back!

I recently booked this venue for my partner’s 30th birthday, and it was amazing! This is one of our favourite spots to enjoy coffee together, so it felt like the perfect place to celebrate the occasion. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible. Frankie and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. We had an outside caterer for the food, but the staff took charge of organising and presenting it perfectly, making sure everything was on time, and making sure all of our guests, including those with allergies, were well taken care of. The atmosphere was fantastic- full of energy, warm, welcoming and it didn’t feel rushed or stressful. I kept checking in throughout the evening, but Frankie was absolutely wonderful in reassuring me that everything was under control and telling me that I should enjoy the celebration without a worry, which is what I did. Our guests had a wonderful time, and I’ve received nothing but positive feedback about the venue, the staff and the overall experience. I would highly recommend this place for any event - you won’t be disappointed. A huge thank you to Frankie and the team for making my partner’s birthday so special!

Lovely Coffee Shop one of the guys in our cycle club guided us to, after seeing good things about, so we gave it a go........it's in a very remote location but has lovely decor and a very bijoux feel about it. Staff were very upbeat and were serving quickly and efficiently. There is a large selection of coffee, cake and hot food on offer with the coffee beans baked on site called Moon Coffee which is also sold here. The "yard" area is very spacious with lovely seating around as well as outdoor heaters for the colder mornings or evenings. They are doggie friendly as saw a few on our visit and welcomed cyclists to with two very large bike racks to use.........will definitely visit again if we are out this way again!!

This place will always get 5* from me. Never had bad food since they opened. Cracking breakfast. Reasonably priced and all the staff are lovely.

On a welding job found this cafe open on a Sunday great , there's a guy on the till a bit grumpy & looks Al Pacion , fresh hot and very reasonably price , had brunch & late lunch , see pics , cheer up Al xx

Bridge Road Café is a lovely local spot with a cozy vibe. The coffee is good, and their breakfast options are fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly, but service can be a little slow when it gets busy. The café has a welcoming atmosphere, though the seating can be limited, especially during peak times. It’s a nice place to unwind or grab a quick bite, but a few improvements in speed would make it even better. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great atmosphere on a summer's day, friendly staff and quick service. The coffee was delicious, as was the breakfast. Will definitely return soon!
