“Such a lovely atmosphere when I walked in, it was at the end of the night and I was staying nearby so I thought I'd stop by and grab a hot chocolate and tasty snack. The staff were super friendly and oh my the cherry blondie was delicious and the hot chocolate was too! I'll definitely be returning when I I'm back.”

“Found this little gem today and went to visit. What a friendly cafe with good quality coffee. Menu very good. Bought a slice of flapjack to take home. Mmmmmm lovely jubbly! The used goods store is set out very tidily, so you are able to shop. Some nice items available. Prices all round reasonable. We will be back ladies. Thanks”

“Such a lovely place to come and get lunch /dinner with friends or family. They have a lovely spacious garden and some playing equipment for the kids to enjoy. They also have a lovely Tractor in the garden which you can sit on and enjoy. :) The food was tasty and definitely worth coming for! They also do a wide range of gluten free options which was very good for myself. They also have a kids menu and have good options and the portion sizes are good. I would recommend visiting! ☺️”

“A lovely evening. Staff were attentive, food was amazing and the ambience was relaxed. My birthday party of 6 had the 3-course set menu which was delicious, plenty of high quality choices and all home cooked. Paid extra for birthday cake which was home made with the finest ingredients. Highly recommended.”

“Excellent service. Clean, large modern looking pub on the inside and stunning country style looking on the outside. A drink selection with 3 ales I think there were. There was a British standard pub menu with kids option but also a very good Authentic Indian menu too. The best Indian I have had in years actually. I recommend the Goan Cod Curry. The rice is cooked perfectly too. Naan bread was also the best i have ever had too. Clean toilets. Family friendly. Very friendly service. Dog friendly too. Reasonably priced with good portion size too. Really worth the trip out there. I will be going back despite it being a 55 minute drive. It was quiet but then it was only 4pm so between rush periods - means you get an excellent service from the staff.”

“So pleased we finally made a booking after zooming passed for years. A great friendly welcome was a good start and that level of service continued throughout our meal by the two very attentive waiters. Menu is an interesting mix of old favourites combined with some excellent twists on sizzling dishes, wraps, baguettes burgers and salads. A daily board of specials was certainly tempting. We chose the Haggis potato cake stack as a starter and wow wow it was amazing with a peppercorn sauce that was simply stunning. Probably the best Haggis outside of Scotland!!! My main course was Mac n Cheese with bacon and two delicious slices of garlic bread (why cant every restaurant do garlic bread this good). My wife had the Chicken Caesar salad and as its a favourite dish of hers I knew it had to be good to get any comment - so 'best ever' 'amazing' gives you a clue how good it was. We shared a dessert which was the Lemon tart which was a disappointment but the accompanying ice cream excellent. It was just not 'lemony' enough and rather dense in texture. Are we coming back a 100% yes! This place must be added to your dining experiences as they have got it right at every level. They just have to promise to keep the Haggis on the menu! Well done - a deserved Five stars.”

“Great pub, nice food and friendly welcome!! Popped in here on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick bite. It’s recently changed management and gone is the huge portions and massive menu. Nothing wrong with the old place, we’ve never had a bad meal there but the portion size was bordering on the gluttonous!! Now a slimmed down menu with a salt specials board, reasonable prices and tasty concoctions. Mixed bean chilli and a seafood madras was ordered with a pint of local Flacks double drop ale. The food arrived in short time and was decent portion size and very tasty. Both dishes came with addons as can be seen in the photos and overall a very tasty reasonably process meal. It was a bit quiet in the place although lots of tables were getting reserved signs put out for later which was a good sign. They also do a bikers night on Thursday evening’s which I believe is becoming quite popular. Overall it’s a great local pub and definitely on our list of approved hostelries!!”
