“It's was the wife's birthday and she said she would like a nice full English breakfast so I did some research as was recommended here, well we were not disappointed, excellent friendly service, excellent food with a great choice , it was hot, tasty and so much of it. I highly recommend this place, we we're here on a Sunday and people were turned away because it's busy so would advise booking.”

“This is a wonderful little cafe. The food was delicious and they had amazing catering for allergies. As someone who is gluten and dairy free they could offer me smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream, gluten free panini and bagels with dairy free cheese. The cakes were delicious according to other people in the party. Plus the prices were very reasonable.”

“This is my favourite place in Fareham to meet friends. It could be coffee and fabulous cake, tea and huge tasty cheese scone, feel good salad, an inspirational open sandwich or a cheeky glass of wine with a cheese platter, the food will be very special. It’s also a place where i would be happy to go on my own as i know i will be made to feel welcome and the atmosphere is laid back. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!”

Butser Roundhouse Café

“Dog friendly! Beautiful walk up and around Butser hill and the roundhouse is open Thursday to Sunday for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, ice- creams, shakes, snacks, cakes, toasties and breakfast rolls. The best coffee! Dogs can have a puppachino for £1 and there's a water bowl. A friendly, family run business and a welcome pit stop on our walks :) the toilet is open until around 4pm and there are picnic benches. There are several routes up Butser hill from various locations but if you fancy just a walk around the top and the views, there is a road that goes up there from the A3, just past the Hampshire hog but be aware that there are pedestrians, horses and cyclists that use the same road. There is car park with a path that leads to the roundhouse. The car park isn't free but you can pay by card when you leave and it's only a short walk from there to the top.”

“First visit to this lovely area after a walk in and around the Meon shore. Had a breakfast, first class ingredients in an attentive comfortable environment. Restaurant is split into areas, dog friendly in the front part. I thought it was good value for the quality of the food. Breakfast menu until 11.30 I think but a good varied menu otherwise. Will definitely return. Car parking at rear, said it was for the boozer opposite but don’t think it’s particularly monitored, otherwise on street parking too.”

“Lovely Coffee Shop one of the guys in our cycle club guided us to, after seeing good things about, so we gave it a go........it's in a very remote location but has lovely decor and a very bijoux feel about it. Staff were very upbeat and were serving quickly and efficiently. There is a large selection of coffee, cake and hot food on offer with the coffee beans baked on site called Moon Coffee which is also sold here. The "yard" area is very spacious with lovely seating around as well as outdoor heaters for the colder mornings or evenings. They are doggie friendly as saw a few on our visit and welcomed cyclists to with two very large bike racks to use.........will definitely visit again if we are out this way again!!”

“Great brunch place, excellent coffee and all the food is sourced locally which I love! The boot room is especially cosy for coffee and cake on a cold miserable day with its nice fireplace. Only downside (which isn't their fault) is it gets very busy at weekends so do book on advance to avoid disappointment as this has happened a couple times to us.”

“We come to this wonderful cafe everytime we visit the New Forest. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and the owner, Mitat goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and to come and say hello. The All Day Breakfast is honestly the best we have ever had and we have eaten many over the years. The cafe has recently been refurbished and looks lovely. Highly recommend Peggy May's Lyndhurst.”
