Marie has been great at tutoring English to my son. She manages to change the pace to keep him interested throughout each session, which is a challenge when he's not engaged in learning, and this is over a zoom lesson too. The different games and apps used are good fun and keep the interest going. Marie has also been great at switching tools to use when we discovered my son's new Chromebook didn't do all the expected things with zoom anymore. I highly recommend Marie for your tutoring needs, no matter where you are located ☺️

Since my son (now in year 6) started tuition sessions with Marie six month ago, I have noticed a good improvement in his school work. He is now achieving much better on the subjects covered (Maths abd English). His last year end report showed a good deal of improvement. My son enjoys the tuition sessions as Marie engages him very well and keeps the sessions interactive. Marie is an excellent communicator, always providing me with necessary updates and changes. I recommend Marie as a tutor and grateful to her as she is helping my son grow in confidence.

I’m not a native English speaker so I wasn’t confident to speak with people around me. I was worried about this. However, Marie is doing great things to help me improve my English speaking, reading and writing skills. She is a fantastic and very talented tutor. I definitely enjoy my online lessons twice a week with a friendly and supportive teacher who gives me useful advice and tips for dealing with specific English expressions. It’s funny, but I’ve never had a lot of them in my vocabulary. She always knows how to explain whatever I need for better understanding. I’m absolutely relaxed and comfortable during my lessons. I very much appreciate that I have helpful classes with such a lovely person as Marie.

Our son was struggling with maths at school and it was just a few months before his GCSE's when we decided to send him to 'I love to learn' (as recommended by a friend) I had concerns that we'd left it too late, but thanks to Howard and his team, our son quickly gained confidence in areas of maths he'd previously given up on at school. The one to one sessions he received were extremely effective and he progressed well in a short space of time, and managed to pass his Maths GCSE! I highly recommend Love to Learn. Two of my children are receiving maths tuition once a week and have just completed the first term. The goal was for our children to start senior school with as much confidence as possible with their maths skills so they never felt behind others making this transition in their schooling. Howard carried out a rigorous initial assessment to ascertain their starting points, from which the excellent tutor (Grazia) planned a programme to support them specifically at their level. I'm very pleased that after their first session both our children said it was very worthwhile and enjoyable - I didn't anticipate this so was thrilled it was the case. Our children quickly developed their skills and confidence and as a result, achieved very well in their two first term assessments. This was a good confidence boost and has placed them in a good maths set. The tutoring is helpful, supportive, but also challenging which is essential for the children to achieve rapid progress. Our Son originally started a year ago (yr 3) to assist with his handwriting but he also has an appetite for learning, especially maths. When it comes to personal tutoring, Felicity sets a new standard. She truly went above and beyond my expectations. First and foremost, her passion not just for the subject but life in general was a huge inspiration for me. I contacted Felicity when I was in my last year at university, I was struggling for confidence and belief that I could graduate. Before anything, she listened to me, got to know me on a personal level, and was, therefore, able to shape our sessions to best help me. Felicity was able to give me the confidence and belief in my ideas and ability that pushed me through my last year. She felt like a safety net, ready to catch me whenever I fell. We have been so pleased with the English tutoring our son Sam received from Gavin. Thanks to Nicki and Gavin. It gave Sam just the extra boost and confidence he needed to make the improvements at a critical time and reach his potential . Whilst he was always a very able learner in most subjects we felt that his school wasn't quite able to support him enough with his English.
