From my mocks in January where I was at an E, and then joining James in mid February, I was able to increase my grade to a high C for my exams in June/July. I believe if I was more confident in my other subject it could’ve easily been a B. His way of teaching seems so personal and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like this. I had never been able to find a tutor in Spanish that could adapt to every single one of my problems but James could. If you’re debating a tutor don’t wait until it’s too late like I did because if you join James early I guarantee he will significantly improve your grade, and the earlier you join the easier your progress will feel.

James is absolutely amazing! My grades improved so much in each of my exams in such a short amount of time. Not only did my Spanish improve, but I was able to dedicate more time to my other subjects instead of trying to constantly compensate for what my teachers had missed in the course. More importantly, my love for Spanish flourished with James’ help and my overall happiness and lack of stress due to his support was a significant factor in helping me get through the exam period. James is a great language tutor! With his help I was able to boost my confidence in speaking Spanish and he really helped me prepare for my A level speaking exam. He thoroughly knows the syllabus which means he was able to answer any last minute queries. There was no stone left unturned and I was provided with in-depth docs with all grammar points and example essay structures. He is very knowledgeable, organized and friendly. I have been with Kumon Highamhill for the past 5 years for my 3 children. My eldest is now 12 and he started when he was 7. Maisie has been a wonderful support for both children and I. I trusted her judgement with my children's progress and this saved me a lot of time worrying what level of work I need to give to my children. My children has very fast calculation skill when come to math, and very fluent with all levels of calculations. With English, all my children love reading, they can't put the book down..... My two elder boys has very good spelling skill, hardly making any mistake on spelling. (They also help me spell words as English is not my first language) Through out the time with Kumon, Maisie helped me through how to support my children at home, what I can and should expect from them. In Kumon there are no so much of right level for the right age, it's more like if your child is comfortable with the level they are doing then, this level is for them. Maisie is one of the few people I know who listen very well. She has never cut me short when I try to explain. She was alway very encouraging for both children and me, and very warm person to be speak to. Maybe Kumon is not a study system for all children since every children are different. But I think it is worth to give a try. If they can handle the system, then it will definitely benefit them.

My 9 year old son was really struggling with his English literature to a point he could hardly write. The school he was attending didn’t really make much effort to help him and he fell behind. To my horror his school even had talks in letting him complete his sats exams on line as he was struggling to put pen to paper. I would truly hate to think where he would be today if it wasn’t for Maisie and all her team. All your hard work really did pay off. I joined the centre when I was around 7/8 years old. Already being equipped with a strong set of foundational skills in Maths and English from my previous Kumon centre, I was able to develop them significantly here and the progress and attainment levels I was achieving in school were way above my peers. This was due to the hard work and determination of Maisie and my tutors who worked with me. There were times in my journey where I struggled a lot and didn't want to carry on, but Maisie was really patient and caring and always so supportive in getting through those rough patches in my Kumon journey. It was through the Kumon Maths program that I developed my passion for the subject at around 11 years old, and excelled throughout my school years at GCSE and A-level. Fast forward to now where I am studying Mathematics at undergraduate level! Kumon not only boosted my performance in school but also instilled in me resilience, determination and hard-work. I would not be where I am today without Kumon and I want to give a huge thanks once again to Maisie and everyone who supported me on this journey!

My two children have studied at this Centre. The work is very helpful and daily homework helps them focus. My daughter now has very good vocabulary, Maths, Comprehension knowledge. Kumon also has tests to see what level your child is on and improve them. Maisie is very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend!

The very BEST Math tutor in Essex. You need look no further. Alpha Maths tutored my daughter from a projected C to an A* for her GCSE. Firstly 5 stars are not enough for the dedicated and professional service we received from Alpha Maths. I cannot but recommend them for what they did for my daughter. Great service. I believe my son benefited from tutoring at Top Tutors in Roman road, in a very short period of time they managed to identify and fill the gaps in his knowledge which helped my son with passing the 11+ exam. I believe the tutors here are attentive and insightful, they prepare tasks based on each student’s individual level, they spare sufficient time to each student. Charmaine I am so delighted with my daughter’s progress since she joined Top Mark Tuition Centre. She was struggling with her English and Maths. I never forget what the owner had said to me the first day I saw him, he said “give me six months to tutor your daughter’s and I will get her up to scratch”. Within the six months, my daughter began to make progress in her classes and became more confident within herself at school. My daughter achieved excellent marks in her Sat’s tests and her end of year school report. The owner is calm and naturally polite; the teachers are encouraging and excellent at teaching.

We just received news that my daughter passed the 11+ for our local grammar school and hopefully will secure a place. Mr Malik was a great help to my daughter over the past year and she would not have done so well had she not attended the tuition centre. We only sat the CEM exam but some of children attended the centre for the other exams (CSSE, GLL) and got exceptional results. The centre is really knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of the exams and even give reminders about application deadlines. Aside from this, my daughter is doing really well at school as a result of attending Top Marks tuition. Even if your child does not secure a place at a selective school, tuition is beneficial to their learning and will help them later on. I recommend Top Marks tuition if your child is willing to put the work in as they will push you really hard.

Following recommendations by a family friend, I enrolled my son for 11+ preparatory coaching session at Top Mark. Despite joining the course very late, my son’s progress was amazing. He loved the place with other students from diverse backgrounds which was an added advantage. We found tutors to be professional , focusing on each student’s individual weakness while keeping the overall progress in mind. One suggestion to all the parents who wants to enrol their kids for 11+, please make sure joint the centre when your kids start year 5 at school ! I would like to highlight the deciding factor in the 11+ exam is the English syllabus- ability to master comprehension (absolutely main part of the exam), verbal and non- verbal reasoning- the exam is by no mean bias towards arithmetic ability of the student- advice to all foreign born parents, !!!

An absolute five for Top Marks. My daughter attends the 11 Plus class at their Chingford branch. Atif and team are just wonderful at keeping the kids motivated and disciplined. Work for these exams can be tough for the little ones but my daughter never complains and seems to have learned so much. The academic part is at the core. I just wanted to say what a great experience my 10 year old daughter has had studying with Patrick McManus for her entrance exams. It was her last session this week and her exam this Wednesday. We are feeling very confident going into the session having had his support. She has looked forward to each of her sessions with him and is always excited and eager to spend time with him! I have been failing maths for a few years and I thought that I would continue to do so until I discovered maths tutoring and I came across this particular one, as I continued to do more research I decided to stick with the masterclass. I was assigned a tutor that I really enjoyed having and he made me understand maths in a different way which I have never before and I started to enjoy the subject. 7-8 months later it was time for me to sit my GCSES. I was nervous but I was also confident because I learnt a lot with my tutor. After a few weeks I received my grade and I passed maths with a grade 5! Which is the highest grade I can get as I was doing foundation. I never thought I was capable on doing this until I started tutoring classes at masterclass. I went from a grade 2, to a grade 5 which is really impressive. So thank you and I 100% recommend this GCSE masterclass.
