Betsy has worked out to be a tremendous tutor for our daughter. They’ve been working together really well for over a year and have developed a trusting and happy relationship. Our daughters maths skills have rapidly improved - working on the basics has certainly built up her confidence and she now tackles problems she’d otherwise have been nervous of. They’re working solidly towards the 11+ exams in a few months time and will be starting to work on English skills in the coming weeks. We really like Betsy. She has become a really important part of our daughters learning journey and is always full of advice on ways to make learning fun. Games are a clever way of teaching those dreaded times tables - we’ve borrowed ideas and they’ve really stuck with us and helped us all improve our mental maths! We highly recommend Betsy.

Betsy was a great help preparing my twins for the 11+. We designed a plan and sometimes worked in a small group with other children. This really helped improved my daughter’s confidence as the working exercises were difficult sometimes and questions needed to be broken down in steps.

Betsy’s been working with our year 2, 6 year old son for 6 months now & the results have been awesome. He was stressed and miserable throughout year 1; would come home crying because he didn’t even know how to hold a pencil, and had virtually no idea what he was supposed to be doing in the classroom. Within 5 minutes of the first tutor session I could see the first of many eureka moments for him as Betsy helped him make sense of things. It was such a massive relief for him and us to see that he could do it!! The progress has continued in handwriting, maths and literacy, and his confidence has grown - the kid who wrote (according to teachers) 4 words in a 40 minute independent writing task a few months back, today spontaneously sat & wrote a coherent paragraph about a half term outing! And he clearly enjoys the sessions which we couldn’t have imagined given how negative he was about school. Both myself & partner agree it’s the best thing we’ve ever done for our son.

Bob really brought confidence to my son as he prepared for his school exams (which he successfully passed). He brought a good blend of warm encouragement and clear focus, which worked really really well. We had a fantastic couple of months with Bob. The best thing is that the children are excited for when he comes around for their hour of tutoring. Even after school, as tired as they can be they seem to enjoy and progress in their learning. Bob has always been very professional and organised, always on time and great with All the logistics. After being advised by a local primary school teacher in the North West of the UK, I contacted Owl Tutors for their services for my daughter as she had secondary school examinations. I was a student in the Peckham Rye Kumon Centre from the ages 5-15, and I for one have seen the difference studying there has made. I am ahead of my class due to the extra support given to me in Kumon and I have seen my confidence grow academically. A year on and I still and progressing due to the boost that kumon gave me. Michael has tutored both my children from year 5 onwards for 11+ exams. I found Michael flexible and creative in his approach to learning whilst still covering subjects for the 11+ exams. My children really enjoyed their lessons with him and found them very engaging. Year 12 A Level student My personal experience with Steve was amazing, he is very friendly and supportive. Kevin is an outstanding and naturally gifted tutor who was able to put my daughter at ease from the 1st lesson.
