I looked for an essay writing summer tutor for my children as I feel the English system does not focus on teaching children how to present analytical thinking in written form but rather mainly on content. It seems to be assumed that the children will find their way to writing good essays (and clearly many do). However, coming from the American system, in which the process of HOW to write a good essay is taught almost as a standalone subject, I felt that my children would be best served going into a writing task with the strongest possible toolset so that the ideas and ultimately what to write would become their only challenge. How to write would be second nature. I contacted Tania at Uber Tutors after a lot of research and, via her incredibly personalised interview approach, she matched a fantastic tutor with my children. Over the course of the summer, they learned how to structure, present and write an argument. They also learned how to incorporate evidence, be it literary, historical or data driven. Not only do they now approach every school essay confidently (dare I say enthusiastically?) but their teachers have mentioned their writing skills to me across the curriculum. I have consistently used Uber Tutors for my child since year 5, elevating their potential at different stages of their State and Comprehensive schooling. Uber tutors helped my son to improve from year 8 level(when he was at year 10) to year 11 within one year. They have a very good system that starts by assessing the the level of the child and then recommended the lessons required. However it doesn't end there. They also consider the child's personality and meticulously find the best tutor who would mach with the child. Prior to Uber tutors we tried a few other companies but none had a proper system in place. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful. There's clear and effective communication between the teacher and parents and a detailed feedback provided at the end of each and every lesson. As a result, our son passed his GCSES with very good results. Thank you Uber tutors.

We are doing tutoring for my daughter to give her a boost and as such didn't know what to expect. My Granddaughter attended Fly High. They really understood her educational needs and they made learning fun and engaging. Even if you use them for a short while, you will definitely see the benefits, as my Granddaughter lives in Canada. We can't recommend them enough. I'm sure that when she returns we will definitely use them again. The opportunity is there for English or Maths and there's also an option to choose which topic your child requires more help with.

Our twin daughters had 3 months of weekly coaching from the team in the build up to their year 6 SAT's in early 2024. We enrolled them in coaching to build confidence in their ability to answer questions and to learn "tips & tricks" on how to understand what was being asked. We can safely say we don't regret a penny of the money spent. Through a combination of school work and the tutoring we now have children who are confident in their own abilities (but not "over-coached") and have a host of tools at their disposal when faced with questions they don't understand. It's amazing how much has changed in the past term - thank you!

As the father of two students attending Shepherds Bush's Kumon Centre for nearly 7 years, I can attest to the efficacy of their teaching methods—particularly in mathematics. My kids' confidence in solving challenging test has grown along with their skill set thanks to the very good learning approach. The instructors especially Vinita are commendable, in addition to their knowledge, they are always encouraging and patient towards their student. They are also so welcoming to talk to about learning problems and appear to be genuinely concern of your children's development . Both my children have shown significant improvement with my daughter being considered by her teacher as one of highest performer in Math in their class. My son now has now reported the that every Math lesson at school, his classmates always ask for help from him as he boastfully declares to be the best in Math in class. This is seconded by the report of his teacher too. The building itself is kept up nicely with toilet/baby changing facilities. It should be noted, though, that during peak hours, it can get somewhat busy. Overall, I am really satisfied with our experience at Kumon Centre in Shepherds Bush and would 1000% recommend to other parent looking for supplementary education for their children.
