Very value for money brunch, unlimited starters is great and the main portions are large which is good however I was feeling already full from the starters and the manager was very kind and let us take it home. We were originally going for the Nobu one however I highly recommend this.

Brunch at ROKA was amazing. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The starters filled us up before we had our mains which shocked me but was definitely an enjoyable experience all together with a great vegan menu too.

Great sushi in a pleasant setting, making it a solid option in the area. While it’s not authentic Japanese cuisine and the restaurant could use a bit more personality, the atmosphere is still lovely, and the food is consistently good. The wagyu gunkan is a standout and my personal favourite alongside the black cod and sesame spinach.

Went to Roka for the first time yesterday for a friend's 60th birthday. 7 of us went, and we did the £55 deal. Plus, the £20 unlimited wine or prosecco. We booked a few months ago but due to popular demand we didn't get into the main restaurant we were seated in the bar area. Apparently, the restaurant area fills up very quickly. We arrived a little early and had to wait quite a while as the people on our table were running late. Had a glass of fizz whilst waiting. Once seated, the waiter was great. I told him about my nut allergy and being vegetarian. He showed me a separate menu, and I chose the baked eggplant as my main. The waiter then filled our glasses with either prosecco, rose, white, or red wine, whichever we wanted. The startes came, and they were all amazing. The waiter brought me my own starters that had had no cross contamination. The waiter made sure I had lots of different starters. Everyone else had the mixed sharing starters. Everyone, including me, loved the starters selection very fresh and lots of different flavours. All the time, the waiter was topping up our drinks and checking if we needed more food. Then the mains came once again. I was given mine separately. I had the eggplant, which came with asparagus time, tender stem broccoli, and grilled mushrooms. The others on the table had salmon, chicken, or ribs with different salads and potatoes. The food was amazing and there was lots of it. Then the dessert came once again. Mine was separate. Everyone else shared a huge platter, including mango Sorbet, chocolate chunks, chocolate cake, mango, pineapple, melon, strawberries, raspberries, lychee and little moons. All served on a bed of crushed ice. Dessert was amazing, so fresh, and something that suited everyone. I have to say this was some of the best food I had ever eaten. The £20 drinks package, I definitely got well over £20 of drink in the 2 and a half hours you get at the table. Service was amazing. The table we had in the bar area was lovely quiet and felt like we had our own little area. As a person with a severe nut allergy and being vegetarian, they catered so well for me, and I felt safe and well looked after. I would like to try the main restaurant next time as it has funky mood lighting and great decor, but saying that our table didn't lesson our experience. It was still amazing. The people there were a mixture of young and older. Lots of people looked liked models and very trendy. I would recommended this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food.

All the seafood was fresh and flavourful - calamari, mussels and the octopus was exceptionally nice. The coffee crème brûlée flavour was well balanced and tasty. Could have used a plate with equal depth and deeper plus smaller. As the heat from the torch warmed up the thinner edges. Also crust could have been darker to have better crack. Bread should sit on the pass for less time to get that fresh flavour. Overall, very lovely food, stylish interior and friendly & professional staff

I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's a really beautiful space. The staff are very friendly and really accommodated us deapite showing up half an hour early. The food really exceeded my expectations. The Argentinian Sirloin was tended and cooked to perfection. Had Sangria and it was beautifully made. I live close by so will definitely be visiting again.

Overall 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Food Quality 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Food Quantity 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Cost 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (with the 50% off deal otherwise 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) Ambiance 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Service 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Had not heard of this restaurant till I started looking on @thefork_uk app for a restaurant with a deal near the British Museum and there is a great 50% off deal running at this restaurant currently which I HIGHLY encourage you to take advantage of. See my bio for a referral code to The Fork app (their process of getting Yums for money off meals is fantastic BTW so if you’re not already using this app, get using it!) The restaurant looks lovely and at first I thought we were a bit under-dressed for it but the vibe was casual and very friendly so this wasn’t a problem. Bonus – they had a LIVE jazz trio performing too! Very cool! The food was fantastic, as were the drinks (I didn’t picture the Old Fashioned’s here but I got through 3 of them!) Service was amazing and our waitress (a young lady from the US) was awesome – she accidentally forgot one portion of chunky chips which I had to ask for and she ended up comping us 4 desserts! Totally not necessary but really impressive service! I loved my sea bass main course with side of mushrooms and broccoli (it comes with a salad) and I will definitely be back for this again! I also loved the garlic butter kind prawn starter I ate and would order this again too. My dessert was the Tiramisu but I am coming back for that Turkish Coffee Creme Brulee!

Delicious Mediterranean food beautifully served. The pulpo ala gallega reminded me of being in Galicia, tasty and authentic. The prawns in garlic butter were just gorgeous, perfectly cooked not a second more. As a main I had salmon & black caviar on a bed of mash potato which looked good and tasted even better. It was a great experience for a foodie like me. Highly recommend it, truly fantastic!!

We stopped in here for dinner one night on a recent holiday from Australia, and I am so glad we did! Lovely ambience, staff were friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Our waitress gave great recommendations, the cocktails were delicious, as was the wine. We had pies - I had the braised beef and it was amazing - easily one of the best pies I have ever eaten and I feel that says a lot from an Australian who loves a good pie. The carrots were also delicious and the petit fours a really nice unexpected touch. Overall, a lovely experience and will hopefully become a tradition for us whenever we travel over there.

An amazing early dinner experience we visited on a Friday in October 2024. Having our dog with us was an added bonus.. Food was exceptional with their rump of lamb, sticky toffee pudding and apple tart being notably excellent. Our mains were slightly delayed and we were happy to wait. The waiting staff offered us complementary desserts which were lovely. The waiting staff are very attentive and helpful while we were there with our eighty five year old mother. Dinner with drinks and the very kind gesture of the management resulted in £91 per person for a party of three + dog. Would thoroughly recommend the Holborn dinning rooms for a special occasion. Just make sure you book in advance as the place gets busy after 8 pm. If you are driving I would recommend you use the NCP Bloomsbury Square car park about four minutes walk away. Since parking is only available if you have a room reservation at the adjoining Rosewood Hotel.

Full Italian experience... Staff seemed all Italian speaking and there were red wine bottles across the restaurant. Turned out without a reservation on a Friday and they accommodated us! High quality pizza, no draught beer, and plenty of wine to choose from.

Food: It was really good. The pizzas were delicious and almost everything hit. The lasagna was specifically a highlight Service: One of my friends got a rare lamb and it got instantly replaced upon cutting it to show the wait staff. The turnaround was also pretty quick too. Atmosphere: Absolutely buzzing! There were tons of people there and they all seemed to be having an absolute blast. I don't traditionally go to Italian restaurants, but this one I'd happily visit again.

Great Italian local restaurant; feels very family run and oriented Good wine selection, house red did is well and was reasonably priced Pizzas looked amazing, my friend had Calzone which definitely delivered. Spaghetti and (large) meatballs did not disappoint and was fresh, well prepared and came out promptly Dessert was worth having - freshly prepared
Rating: 4 / 5
Food: We started with the Vongole and Cortoccio with wine sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a delightful texture and seasoned just right. The Calzone was generously sized and full of flavor, making it a standout dish. The highlight of the meal, however, was the Tiramisu. It was wonderfully balanced—not overly sweet, with a rich and complex flavor that really stood out. Service & Atmosphere: The service was solid, with a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. While the space can feel a bit crowded, it never reaches the point of being distracting, allowing for a comfortable dining experience.

Amazing atmosphere with incredible service (ask for Fatih). Our reservation fell through and we ended up here which was a blessing - the flavours and freshness of the food are indescribable. I would 10/10 recommend for everyone to try.

Exceptional performance — both regarding service and the taste as quality of the food. The chicken was juicy and melted right off. Spices and vegetables used for the chicken sote were extremely well seasoned and cooked— you could taste that they did not overcook it at all and managed the perfect balance. Each vegetable was perfectly cooked and kept it’s original flavor. In combination with the used herbs and sauce it was an Overall wowing experience!

One of the best Turkish restaurants out there. Taste is unbelievable. Beats other turkish restaurants I have rated a 5* for too in London. Brought my friends here that had flew in from abroad for a short visit and they all thanked me for making a great choice! Went for lamb iskender, well flavoured and cooked to perfection by chefs who know what they are doing. Will visit again.

The food here is good, generous portions I quite enjoyed it. My partner found it to be overrated. The portion size is quite large which is good value for money and the sauce on the salad was delicious. The service was a tad slow but with the traffic it’s to be expected. Dining area is a little crowded all the while lovely spot for lunch or dinner. Ps. Be mindful of the times you choose to dine as you may likely be required to queue.

Lovely service, didn't have to wait long. Small menu, but the portions are big. Shared two desserts with my friends, The molten lava chocolate cake was to die for, and the pain perdu was a bit too sweet for my liking! Would go again!

What a wonderful pub! The Victorian's certainly knew what they were doing when they built this beautiful pub. Even the toilets are remarkable! I had a lovely pint of Samuel Smith's which was well kept and delicious. Well worth a visit.

🚇Holborn 🍺 £6.70 Taddy Lager The Princess Louise is located on bustling High Holborn in Central London. The nearest Tube is Holborn which is just around the corner. This pub was built in 1872 and is Grade II listed. Princess Louise was the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and this is the only UK pub named after her. In 2007 the pub went through a comprehensive restoration which saw the reinstatement of the original multi-roomed layout with wood and etched glass dividing walls. The decor here is jaw droppingly beautiful, this is one of the finest preserved Victorian pub interior’s in London. At the centre of the pub is an ornate mahogany servery with a carved wood back bar. Fanning off the servery are several bars, snugs and booths. Upstairs is a carpeted bar predominantly used for dining. Everywhere you look there are stunning details like enormous engraved and gilt mirrors, Portland stone columns, etched mirrors and stained glass, marble fireplaces and Victorian tiles. You’ll find some the best finery is in the corridors, the mosaic flooring is just exquisite. The Gents toilet is also something to marvel. This is a Sam Smith’s pub, so the beer offering is all in house brews which included two cask ales. I decided on a pint of Taddy Lager, my pint was great, price point was high. The food menu is hearty pub classics. I arrived around 2pm on a Friday afternoon in April. I thought I’d visit before the post work rush so I could have a good gander at the splendour. The pub wasn’t overly busy and felt calm and relaxed. As most of you know Sam Smith’s pubs have no TV’s or background music, so you could have heard a mouse fart. The service was excellent, I had a nice chat with the Guv’nor who has also run The Yorkshire Grey near the beeb. Holborn is an area I love visiting as it is a goldmine for beautiful boozers. The Princess Louise is a simply stunning pub, its opulence and grandeur is something to behold. If you are ever in this part of town, be sure to visit this beautiful London pub. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 19.04.24
