Excellent food let down by poor service. The waitress was polite but clearly didn't want to be working. It took an age to get her attention despite only two tables in the restaurant (she was looking down for long periods behind the bar). When we asked about what could they do to cater towards a specific food allergy she simply said that they don't cater towards it - no recommendations - ie less than the bare minimum. These days it's quite common to have a food allergy and servers could at least suggest dishes that we could order instead. Anyway the food was great. The whitebait was large, plentiful and fried in a light batter that wasn't over powering. The pardon peppers were large again and tasted fresh. The garlic prawns were of a similar high standard. Unlikely to return for a while until they change the service.

It was a fantastic experience from the start to the end. The food was delicious (I had paella, my wife Clarisa, Ravioli). Furthermore, excellent service from all the staff, in special Clemmy , he truly is a star! Itā€™s clear that he goes above and beyond to make every guest's experience memorable. We strongly recommend Avanti Tapas & Pizzeria to anyone looking for a excellent italian/spanish dinner experience. Weā€™ll definitely be back for more! Raphael and Clarisa

Service was friendly - though we had to wait for drinks and then ask for water. The wine was delicious. The owners were friendly. The batter on the whitebait and Calimari was great - light and fresh and not oily. Good job. The meat balls were tasty. I'm sure we'll in back some time for another celebration!

Service was friendly and with a smile. I ordered the papaya salad and pork laarb. Both were tasty but I couldā€™ve used more spice. Plus an order of rice and Singha, bill came out to be Ā£40, which I felt was on the high end. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal.

Authentic Thai taste for pad Thai and drunkin noodles. Lots of great options for traditional Thai dishes. They only open for dinner at weekdays but both lunch and dinner at weekends. I definitely would go again. Very reasonably priced.

Qualifying for my new fave Thai spot in London šŸ˜Š itā€™s a small cozy place with a few tables, we were lucky we found an empty table as we went during the week, otherwise it was packed. Service was spot on and staff were super nice. For 3 people, we ordered the steamed vegetable gyozas to share which was amazing! For mains, we had chicken red curry with sticky rice, drunken noodles, and Massaman curry with beef and coconut rice. Everything was super delicious and the Massaman was top! Pricing was also very reasonable and food was served in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

First time trying Somali cuisine which Iā€™ve heard such great things about! Definitely worth the trip to this restaurant. Gives homely vibes and the food was šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ cannot fault the staff and their attentiveness. The portion size of food is generous for the price you pay. I will definitely be coming back. Only downside is the long wait at busier times so make sure to book ahead as the wait can be up to an hour.

Rapscallion Table & Tap

5 Strawberry Hill Rd, Acton, MA 01720, USA | Restaurant
P: (978) 429-8161

Rating: 4.5 (1174) Price Level:

We held a special meeting of our condo association there to discuss with a prospective new property management firm. Thought the private room and offer of free food and non-alcoholic drinks might increase meeting attendance, and I was right!! Service was excellent, as were all the fantastic food options. We liked it so much that we are meeting again there this Saturday for a smaller meeting. I am proposing to the board that we hold all of our monthly board meetings and our annual condo association meeting here going forward. I believe that it will help increase meeting attendance and also help foster a greater sense of community and friendship among unit owners and tenants.

We came here for lunch this past weekend and were blown away by the fantastic hospitality provided us by the restaurant staff. Our server gave us great suggestions on beers based on our likes/dislikes, and she gave us her honest feedback on the questions we had of the various menu entrees. The poutine with short ribs was great as an appetizer. As an entree, I had the fish and chips with cole slaw, and the fish was nicely prepared as it was lightly breaded and not heavily coated. My wife had the pea risotto with grilled chicken, which she loved as she enjoyed the Parmesan cheese in the dish. Our server and another server helped answer our questions we had of the local area. They never made us feel as if we were bothering them but instead made sure to give us their opinions of the various questions we had about the local area. For a friendly and down to earth place to go with great food, I would highly recommend giving Rapscallion a try. We will definitely be back!

Everyone I was with ordered burgers and sandwiches. I almost caved, but last second ordered the Asian style chopped salad with salmon. I'm so glad I did! Pretty sure I had more food than everyone else at the table, the salmon was awesome, and I was so full! I would definitely get this again. Half the table was jealous when this got put down, but overall everyone else seemed to like what they ordered.

It's not my first time, and the quality of the food is superb!! Service is great and for acton the prices are very affordable. They have a variety of nice greek specials, such as Greek wine and beer. Portions are very generous and tasty. I'm glad they opened, and business is going well. It's a bit cold, but I understand it's hard to warm up such a big space. Toilets are clean and overall everything is very clean and tidy!! Will definitely be coming back for more!! The sauce of the prawns is insanely tasty!!

Food was nice. Service was very poor. The waitress was curt and completely disinterested. I wasnā€™t offered any water with my meal. I had to get up and look and ask for my own sauces to accompany my meal. Everything just seemed such hard work for her. Not made to feel welcome at all. I was up on a work trip and had decided to eat there solo. Iā€™d eaten there before and I had enjoyed it. Not many other people in on a Saturday night.

Really lovely place ā¤ļø Chris and the team were really welcoming and attentive. Me and my girlfriend went in for dinner last Saturday night and although we hadn't booked they found us a table and it was the start of a lovely night. The food was fresh and delicious and really well cooked. They clearly have a chef who loves what he/she does. I'd strongly recommend to all who were looking for good food and a great team. I hope the community supports this place and it's around for many years. Also, it's important to say that my partner has allergies and Chris and the team were great and managed to accommodate ā¤ļø Thanks for a great night team.

In summary, I had my birthday party here on Saturday. The staff were so kind, welcoming and charming, and they could not do enough for us. We were there from the afternoon until the evening, so we ended up having some food which we enjoyed very much. Another reviewer said that their chicken burger was dry and I did not have that experience at all. And I'm someone that rarely orders chicken when I'm out because of the amount of times I've had bad experiences with dry, bland chicken. I am happy to report that the chicken in my burger was well-seasoned, moist and succulent, and you could tell the meat was of good quality. I think it might even have been thigh meat, it was that moist, which was a rare pleasure in a chicken burger where you normally get served a piece of breast (and breast can so easily dry out)! Not the case here. My husband had a pork belly dish which he found to be delicious, so much so that he returned the following day to sample their roast dinner. My one note is that the draught beer was unpleasantly bitter and I could not finish either of the half pints I bought (and I opted for a different beer each time so it wasn't a question of my not liking the beer I'd chosen); maybe they need to have a look at their pumps or something. But otherwise, it was a PERFECT day. And once again, I would like to reiterate that the staff were charming. The guy that helped me over the phone and via text when I made the booking was so helpful and communicated well. He kept me abreast of changes and was keen to ensure I was happy with the space I had been given; he even sent me a picture. And when we got there on the day, they were so personable and kind. They create a really special atmosphere, those staff, and they deserve a lot of credit for that.

The Rocket Pub in Acton is a popular local gastropub. The pub has a living room-style interior with comfortable seating, exposed brick walls, and ceiling fans. The dining area is more formal, with scarlet-draped walls and chandeliers. The Rocket Pub serves a wide variety of food, including classic pub fare like burgers, fish and chips, and steak and ale pie, as well as more creative dishes like the Rocket burger with black pudding and bacon jam, and the grilled lamb shank with mint sauce. The pub also has a good selection of beers on tap, as well as wines and cocktails. The service at The Rocket Pub is friendly and attentive. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and can help you choose the perfect dish. The pub is also a great place to watch live music or catch up with friends. Overall, The Rocket Pub is a great option for a casual meal or a night out in Acton. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
