Kerri-Ann at Village Vet in Brook Green is absolutely AMAZING! Very professional, yet so caring, kind and supportive! Our new puppy was unwell on a Saturday morning, and Kerri-Ann arranged for us to be seen urgently by the doctor. She walked an extra mile to help us by arranging further care at a local hospital. She is so knowledgeable, experienced, and she genuinely loves animals. I am very fortunate to have met her at such a difficult time. Thank you Kerri-Ann and Rania for your ongoing support. I am very appreciative and grateful for all your efforts!

My sweet kitten Reign had a tear gland situation pop up (literally) in his eye randomly one day, which obviously sent me into a total panic. The entire team at VV Brook Green were so quick to accommodate us, check him and fix everything. I was incredibly impressed at how nice everyone was, even Reign started purring the minute we arrived which calmed me down too. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’re so lucky to have you guys in our community 🤍 Reign and I love you!!!

Took our dog in for his first consultation with this new practice. Martin talked us through our treatment options and we came away more informed. Key to note that this is an independent vet practice, which for us is preferable. A very good calm space, and great service.

I took my 13-year-old dog French Bulldog to Vet in the City for an ongoing eye issue he's been having. We were able to get an appointment really quickly and Martin took a lot of time with us and is clearly very knowledgeable. We feel like we're in great hands and are so grateful to have that Vet in the Cty open nearby.

This vet opened just this week and already an absolute BLESSING! Even thought they are still in construction for final days the ambience is calm, kind and comforting which is exactly what we want for our dogs. The receptionist is lovely and greeted with a smile - and Dr Niven is a pure delight. Professional, informative, considered advisory and amazing with both our dogs. One of our dogs had an injection and didn't even wince! Couldn't recommend this vets more - welcome to Roman Road.

I couldn’t be happier to see Dr. Niven at Vet in the City, his new super welcoming practice.Dr. Niven has cared for my dog, who has leishmaniasis, for years. This is a complex condition that requires a highly skilled and compassionate vet, and I’ve always been impressed by his expertise, dedication, and the way he truly listens to both pets and their owners. I trusted him completely before, but since visiting his new practice, my expectations have been exceeded. You can tell how much he loves his work, and his practical yet deeply caring approach has made all the difference in helping my dog stay healthy and happy. On top of that, the location is super convenient, and the clinic itself is modern, stylish, and feels so welcoming. If you’re looking for a vet who combines professionalism with genuine care and a personal touch, I cannot recommend Dr. Niven and his team enough. This practice is a true gem, and I’m confident every pet owner will feel the same after their visit!

Blackheath Veterinary Surgery

P: 020 8858 5151

Rating: 4.8 (393) Price Level:

We’ve been with this vet for over two years now, and it’s hands down the best veterinary practice we’ve ever visited. Before finding them, we tried a few other clinics, but none compared to the level of care and professionalism here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the vet is amazing—always happy to help and genuinely caring about the animals. We’re so grateful to have found them!

After my dog pinched and swallowed the plastic netting from a joint of beef my regular vet couldn’t fit him in. Blackheath vets came to the rescue and saw him immediately. The kind staff helped him to be sick and he soon brought it back much to my relief. I really recommend this vet practice. Lovely friendly can-do staff and vets

Brilliant vets! Have been with them for many years and they are highly skilled. I always recommend them. Dom, Alan and Gav ( as well as Ash in the past) are such good and caring Vets. You cannot get any more kind and knowledgeable Vets. The surgery works so well as the nurses there are so fab too, Kim and Mia are just a few of the lovely ones working there always trying to find appointments for you, keeping you calm and so supportive . I had all my dogs spayed there and some other procedures done at this great Vet.( Toggles just a few days ago) not only I know the OP is done by the best (Dom) but also the aftercare is amazing, fast callback after the OP, clear instructions. You always get written advice and a call back if all is ok. You will always be reminded via text when the next appointment is. Just a very perfect setting with amazing Vets. Most of all I love that all my dogs love the Vets. I love seeing how they give them not only the utmost medical care but also the cuddles and love .Thank you to all of you, Dom for being such a great Vet, and also Alan for helping us by going the extra mile when we were in desperate need for help with travel. Biggest hug from Ricki & Holly and triple licks from Lottie, Ziggy and Toggles 20 out of 10 you are the best x

Chose this vet after seeing the Google reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Alan was lovely with our puppy for her first vet visit and spent double the appointment slot to provide information and answer our questions. Puppy left more relaxed than when we arrived. Really happy I chose this vet, even though it isn’t the closest one to me.

We just registered our dog Paddington at Aylmer Parade and the difference with the local Medivet is stark. Josh is calm, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. If the apocalypse came tomorrow and the only person with medical training available to treat your gunshot wounds or zombie claw marks was a vet, you'd want it to be Josh. Sorry, I know that's a weird thing to put in a review of a veterinary surgery but I just watched The Last Of Us and it's front of mind. You can't be too careful these days!

Highly recommended.

I first discovered Snoots while searching for a local vet for my first pet, Samuel. On a particularly hot day, I was welcomed with a refreshing offer of water. The clinic's cleanliness was impressive, and there was no waiting time as I had arrived on schedule. Despite my initial nervousness about taking Samuel to the vet for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Dr. Rachael was amazing; she reassured me that I was doing everything right and that Samuel was in great health. She conducted a thorough examination, calming Samuel when he got a bit anxious. He even received a treat for his good behavior, and though he was ready to head home (walking into his carrier on his own), we both left the clinic feeling more confident and relaxed. Samuel had clean ears, clipped nails, and a positive health report. Snoots is a subscription service, and Dr. Rachel was incredibly patient in answering all my questions. I left feeling completely confident that Snoots was the best place to entrust Samuel's care during his first year with me. The overall experience at Snoots was exceptional. Samuel had a good old nap afterwards.

I recently brought my dog to Hello Vet, and the experience was outstanding. My dog can be a bit unsettled in new situations, but the team went out of their way to make him feel comfortable & safe, catering to his needs with consideration & care. The environment was calm and welcoming, which made a real difference for both of us. The staff were not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain each aspect of my dog’s care without oversimplifying or rushing through details, and leaving me feeling listened to throughout the visit. Having had dogs and worked with dogs my whole life, I’ve seen a variety of vets. Hello Vet truly stood out in their thoughtful approach. Another thing I appreciated was that there was no pressure to opt for expensive procedures or medications. The team provided honest, tailored recommendations that prioritized my dog’s well-being, not upsells. The service was efficient yet thorough, making the whole process smooth from start to finish. Overall, I highly recommend Hello Vet to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy veterinary care.

I can’t recommend Village Vet in Chiswick enough! My dog, Cookie, has always been exceptionally well cared for by the entire team. After having some truly awful experiences with other clinics in the past, finding Village Vet has been a blessing. From the friendly reception staff to the dedicated nurses, and especially the amazing Rania, I have complete trust in their love and care for my furry baby. Even after moving away from Chiswick, I continue to bring Cookie back for any issues, no matter how “minor” I might think they are. Don’t be swayed by some of the fancier clinics that seem more focused on your wallet than on genuine care. Village Pet truly stands out for their compassion and commitment to your pet’s well-being. I've been going to this clinic with my cat Ofelia since I moved to London 4 years ago. By far, this is the best veterinaries I have come across. Recently my little one was taken in for surgery. The planning, the follow up, the heartfelt care, all if it splendid. I needed some extra information beforehand and asked to talk to the staff and it was granted. And on the day, the pre-surgery chat with the nurse was so good. The day after, both the veterinary herself and the nurse called, both checking in with medical check list and with real care. These professionals are in it because their hearts are in it. Cannot recommend the clinic highly enough. So glad Ofelia can keep coming back to the Highgate Clinic.
