All the staff here are lovely and you can tell they really care about the animals they see. We found a visibly unwell stray cat hiding in our garden and took her in to get a check up and some treatments and everyone has been super nice and really helpful. I want to especially thank Louisa, Eliska and Cat for doing everything they have over the last few days, and I'm sure we'll be in again very soon with a much more healthy cat thanks to everyone here! 🙂

Excellent care and service and not just for pets. I checked-in and was struggling to talk due to a heavy cold. As a pleasant surprise I was offered a hot mint tea to sooth my symptoms. I would not hesitate to recommend Paxtons.

I'm actually speechless. These guys are like having a privately tailored Veterinary service revolving around your needs and the needs of your pet. They were sooo wonderful, accommodating, kind and professional too. I went in with my 3 Yr old Chow chow for a dental surgery. My fluffy hates going to the vets she gets terrified and starts shaking immediately. Not this time. She was so comfortable with the team at Urban Vets, that she even accepted treats from them! ( never happened in her life). She did not tremble or shake in anyway which is a first ever for her. I was so at ease with the staff that I felt comfortable leaving her there the whole day. The dental procedure went extremely well too!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Really an amazing team there. Will recommend you guys to my Chow chow whatsapp group with 350 members!! Thank you again so much!! Simone

My poor, little Willow. I miss her so much already and my heart breaks more and more everyday without her. Anna P and Daisy, they Showed my Willow real love and emotions, made her comfortable with heat pads, blankets, cuddles and strokes and really did put Willow in the heart of everything they could. Even filled her belly till the very end (nothing would cheer willow up more than food). I could see they found it hard also as it was such a sensitive subject for any human being, however they kept professional, direct and most important of all they made me and my partner feel comfortable leaving Willow in their hands. We appreciate the hard work and strength you all have working in such a rewarding but yet such difficult career. Our gratitude is great. Thank you again Daisy and Anna.

It is inevitable at some point you have to say goodbye to your beloved pet and sometimes that requires some intervention. Everyone at Tender Paws were absolutely lovely. They were so kind and treated our beloved dog of 14 œ years in such a dignified manner. They provided us with a quiet place to spend the last moments and were very supportive. We were given time alone to say our final goodbyes and they carried out our wishes. This is always the hardest part of dog ownership but we were comforted that the team at Tender Paws were sharing this moment with us.

We had the best experience today at Mayow Veterinary surgery. Our greyhound ripped her dew claw on a walk and they saw us immediately. The vet, Alex was fantastic. He was incredibly kind and gave her the best care. He also gave us a lesson in how to get a fussy dog to take a pill! The nurse, Kate was also great as were the friendly and very welcoming receptionists, Toni and Vanessa. All round a great experience and we were so grateful to get the claw removed and the paw bandaged so quickly. Thank you!

Mayow practice was recommended on my local Greyhound group and I registered very easily and quickly. My hound has been very poorly and was treated by another practice as I was out of London. I felt very reassured during our consultation with Alice that she knew what Lenny needed immediately and how this could be achieved. She literally had him eating out of her hand and he had eaten very little in the preceding days so that was a wonderful thing to witness. He is not out of the woods but hopefully on the road to recovery. The staff definitely have a soft spot for greyhounds!

I recently took my cat to the vet, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made both my cat and me feel completely at ease. The receptionist was exceptionally welcoming, greeting us with a warm smile and kind words that immediately put my nervous cat at ease. She was incredibly efficient in handling the paperwork, ensuring a smooth check-in process while also taking the time to ask about my cat's well-being and listen to my concerns. The vet was equally outstanding, demonstrating a deep level of care and expertise. They took the time to thoroughly examine my cat, explaining each step of the process in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed, and it was clear that the vet genuinely cared about my cat's health and comfort. My cat, who is usually anxious in these situations, remained surprisingly calm thanks to the gentle handling and reassuring atmosphere. What truly stood out to me was the seamless coordination between the receptionist and the vet. The receptionist ensured that all necessary information was communicated efficiently, and her friendly demeanor made the entire visit a pleasant experience from start to finish. I left the clinic feeling confident that my cat had received the best possible care. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic to any pet owner looking for a compassionate and professional team.

I loved the care my cat received at Mitcham Veterinary Surgery when he needed some teeth extracted. He was seen promptly and cared for beautifully. Staff took lots of time informing me about follow-up care and the cost seemed fair. I didn’t gasp in horror at the total as I’ve done in past experiences with other practices.

Fantastic service, the vet was gentle, patient and answered all our questions and addressed our concerns. Consultation time should be a bit longer so anything that’s not routine can be dealt with effectively also a longer time means we don’t cut into another’s appointment. Excellent service. Vets go above and beyond and really care for the animals. The amount of work they do in one day is just crazy I take my hats off to them. Yes there sometimes a wait but that happens any where they are kind understanding caring and helpful and that sadly is not everywhere.

I took a cat I'd found sadly on the side of the road on a walk to them at the weekend and they very kindly took it in without question. One of the other vets in South Croydon had refused to help but PDSA kindly did it without question - they even took the time to write down where the poor thing was found so I knew they actually cared about scanning it for the potential owner. Really friendly and professional team.

I have never written a google review before. However, I felt compelled to do so because of the exceptional service received by all the staff at Goddard Veterinary in New Addington. This is the first kitten I have had as an adult, and I wanted to give her the best start in life, so I visited 2 vets in my location. I could not believe how I was totally ignored at the first vet I visited. I thought if they could ignore a human, then I didn't know what they would do to my kitten. So I then visited Goddard Veterinary and was so happy how Marie spoke to me and explained everything to me. First impressions really do count! Since then, I registered my kitten, and she has attended there and is now an adult cat. She has been looked after so well. I would like to say a very big thank you to Marie, Liz, Helen, and Paulo for all their hard work and how kind, caring, and professional they have all been. I chose to write this review 22 months after having my first visit in order to give a true perspective of the service I have received so far. I would not hesitate for anyone to choose this vet to look after their pets.

Streatham Hill Veterinary Surgery

101 Sternhold Ave, London SW2 4PF, UK | Veterinary Care
P: 020 8674 3525

Rating: 4.6 (830) Price Level:

We we referred to another practice by our vets and it was appalling. Pushy vets demanding extra treatment on our poorly cat who just needed a CT scan so we could see what was happening and plan her surgery. This other vets tried to charge us £3000 and wouldn’t budge and we wouldn’t have been able to afford her much needed surgery, so we took the cat and left. It was very stressful. I found Streatham Hill via google and called up and it was a 5* experience from start to finish. The call center lady Yolida sorted everything out for me within five mins and we booked a CT scan for the next day. She was very kind, reassuring and knowledgeable. We took our cat in and they did the scan and took care of her well. The lovely vet Mia called me with an update straight away and made she was stable before we picked her up later that day. Now she can potentially have her life saving surgery and have a long life. Something another practice was denying her but luckily I came across Streatham Hill and they are amazing. And all this for less than half the cost the other vets tried to charge me. Thank you to Streatham Hill who genuinely care about animals.

We are always welcomed when we visit the vet. The vets are always able to calm Mia by stroking and communicating with her in a soft tone, which she is always receptive to. If the visit is for a check up, the vets are very thorough in their examination and always provide clear information on Mia's current health and any possible future health issues. Great service all round!

I would love to thank the amazing staff at Streatham Hill Vets after the wonderful and most thoughtful gift they sent my mum today, after losing her very old cat Tinkerbell a couple of months ago, today she received the most sweetest remembrance of her beloved Cat. Beautiful footprints and a snipping of her beautiful black coat. It made my mum very emotional but with happy memories of her 17 year old cat. The timing was perfect, you really did a great job of caring for her baby when she was poorly and making the heartbreaking process easier to manage. Well done guys, a massive Pat on the back to you guys for being so so thoughtful. Can’t thank you enough for making my mums day. I really do appreciate everything you’ve done then and today. Can’t recommend you guys enough. Rachel
