Matthew and his team came to the rescue at short notice, just before Xmas, and did wonderful job at saving a massive leak into my bedroom. I couldn't find a roofer to help out on such short notice but Matthew did everything possible to get his team to work on a Saturday to fix the issue. It was just on time as that night it rained so heavily that there would have been extensive damage so I am extremely grateful to his professional help and forthcoming nature to help me so efficiently and quickly fix the problem. I couldn't recommend him and his team more.

Having done excellent work for us before, Matthew, Lee & the team came to the rescue when a side roof on our house was badly damaged in Storm Ciaran (Nov 2023) and we had serious water-leakage inside. They made the roof secure while Matthew prepared clear & conscientious reports of the damage etc. For the insurance company. That having been sorted, they completed a good full repair on the roof. They are really experienced, with a great range of skills, always a polite & professional manner, punctual etc. City Building and Roofing will always be our go-to for building work & repair.

This company did EXCELLENT work for me, fixing an issue with rain ingress around loft dormer windows and onto the ceiling below. I chose them because of the quality of work they did on my neighbour's roof where they fixed a long standing issue. The work involved diagnosing the issue, slate tiling, lead work, taking windows out and back in and all the detailing on ensure rain runs effectively off the roof and dormers. Jack manages the company superbly and my project from start to finish. He promptly got one of his teams comprising of Andi, Tim and Arlind working for me. I needed quick work because of selling my home and because Jack has a number of people working for him, he was able to respond fast. Andi, Tim and Arland came everyday for 4 days, arrived on time, worked hard, were professional, friendly and very skilled at what they did and rightly proud of it. Fantastic builders - cannot recommend Jack and his team highly enough. We used ER Group to build a roof terrace extension and do some interior updates including remodelling two bathrooms. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The communication with Jack was excellent throughout and he helped us bring our vision to life despite us only having some fairly vague planning drawings to go off. Left everything clean and tidy and even came back afterwards to fix the most minor details. Most importantly, we couldn’t be happier with the finished result. I have used McDonald Roofing Contractors for three separate roofing jobs on a rather complicated roof - firstly replacing a box gutter and associated drainage, secondly replacing some lead work, and finally replacing half of the roof following my realisation that a previous roofer had only done half of the work paid for. Given all the cowboys out there it is reassuring to know a company who is professional, expert, tidy and efficient. I echo the praise of Kerry in the office, too! Scott was very responsive to messages and came next day at the time he said he would to fix gutter end stop that had come off. Scott and his colleague took extra care to use ladder end protectors so not to damage house render when leaning the ladder against it. He also glued the end stop in place for extra security. Used Scott’s roofing after asking for a few quotes to get new flat roof, repair faulty valley, add lead flashings on all parapet walls among other things. Would definitely strongly recommend, Scott is a very reliable, very efficient roofer and his work has been very good. The key to choosing Scott was that I had the feeling that the work would be done quickly and to a high standard. Other roofing companies never really committed to a start date - efficiency and reliability are an absolute must when you have issues with your roof and Scott really delivers on both fronts. Communication throughout was also very good, lots of photos sent every day. Scott is always available for a quick chat to explain. He also suggested a few other things we had not spotted that needed doing. John and the team were super helpful and responsive to some issues we had with our roof. The team were really professional and were able to fix some slipped tiles and replace some missing tiles from our very old roof. This is the first winter of owning the property, so it's always the litmus test for seeing the condition of the roof and guttering. They also cleaned our filthy gutters, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the house was built! The drone footage at quote stage was also really helpful to demonstrate the issues! We contacted John after finding JPR online, we had issues with our roof in our London town house. I already had 2 quotes from different contractors but I wanted to have another one before deciding. John was very reactive and came on site quickly, we identified all the problems and he provided me with a quote under 3 days. His price offer and warranty was the most competitive, before signing the quote I asked if I could take some references from his existing clients. This was no problem, after calling everyone I signed the quote and a week later the works started. His team was very organized and discreet. They did our flat roof in January 2021 and am really pleased with their work and professionalism. They did it for two days. Pleasant experience from beginning to end. John, a very nice man, came to inspect one day, and then he explained what needed to be done, sent me and agreed on a quote, then booked the date. George and his team installed a new felt roof on my kitchen extension after a badly installed Fibreglass job from previous builders which kept springing leaks every few years. The process of hiring George was quick and painless through his website, and his site survey/quote filled me with confidence that he's an experienced roofer. His quote was pricier than his competitors, but I urgently needed the repairs and George committed to the job in matter of days. An easy way to judge any builder is how he leaves his work site at end of the day. George's team was pleasant and respectful + left a tidy work site after their first day. I'm pleased with how the new felt roof looks, and time will tell if it holds up better than the Fibreglass job! This jobs very much falls under "You get what you pay for".
