Luke is a true professional and a kind human being on top of it. He cleared the gutters of my property and was kind enough to listen to details, come quickly over to check and give me a quote and also quick to do the job after hiring him. Plus he helped me with a detail in my property that was a favor to me really and absolutely not part of his job. As I was not around he made sure to send me photos and a video of the job done. I called Luke (of Jakeman Roofing Ltd) after a night of rain pouring down through the roof. He came immediately, and in no time was on the roof finding the cause. No fuss, no bother. Luke did the job straightaway and the price came in at 60% cheaper than the quote I'd accepted some months ago but given a date in December! for the job. The original contractor couldn't be bothered and caused me lots of damage. Luke did the job as it should have been done. Not many like Luke about. Can't praise him more.

They did our flat roof in January 2021 and am really pleased with their work and professionalism. They did it for two days. Pleasant experience from beginning to end. John, a very nice man, came to inspect one day, and then he explained what needed to be done, sent me and agreed on a quote, then booked the date. Two nice men came on the day and did everything including clearing. I would recommend them to my family and friends. Excellent service all throughout.

We contacted John after finding JPR online, we had issues with our roof in our London town house. I already had 2 quotes from different contractors but I wanted to have another one before deciding. John was very reactive and came on site quickly, we identified all the problems and he provided me with a quote under 3 days. His price offer and warranty was the most competitive, before signing the quote I asked if I could take some references from his existing clients. This was no problem, after calling everyone I signed the quote and a week later the works started. His team was very organized and discreet. They finished the repairs on time and provided regular updates on the works. John always communicated rapidly and clearly. Overall it was a very good experience working with John, which these days is rare with contractors in London. Highly recommend if you have roof issues

I contacted this Which? Trusted Trader to replace a cracked flat roof on a kitchen extension and to investigate leaks in a tiled sloping roof on a garage conversion. On the former, old asphalt has been replaced using modern methods to a very high standard and at fraction of the cost of other estimates; Mr Bennett achieved this by correctly predicting that the underlying structure was basically sound and did not need complete removal as suggested by others; the job was therefore completed in one long hardworking day instead of up to one week. I was convinced the sloping roof would need stripping, but for just a few hundred pounds, Mr Bennett suggested some simple fixes for areas where water was probably ingressing, potentially saving thousands of pounds. Even if this does not work, his solution for replacing the roof will be considerably cheaper than other proposals and I will certainly engage him again. In short, Mr Bennett was very professional, putting my interests to the fore and producing work of the highest quality.

Apologies for this very overdue review. On 5th/6th November '24 Jonathan and his team refelted 2 dormers, repointed verge and ridge tiles and rendered a chimney stack. Throughout the time they were with us we were kept fully informed of the progress made. This was backed up by photos and video. From initial contact with Jonathan I was impressed with his professionalism and had total confidence in him. I would definitely use Jonathan and his team in the future and have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

Excellent work all around. Nicky was great to liaise with to get an estimate and then arrange the job (we had to wait a couple of months but took that as a good sign); she kept us in the loop throughout. The quote set out a clear description of the works (unlike some of the others I received). Oliver was very good at communicating when they would arrive, was courteous throughout when making arrangements, and the team of five were on time, worked through the day with real commitment and focus, and did a very good job. I booked Blake’s Roofing to fix a leaky flat roof at our house in Hatch End. Oliver showed up and did the site survey and then the guys turned up and did the work. The price was great and the work was booked in and completed within a week of me asking. The work was completed in a morning and the roof looks great. We required repairs to the roof, following missing tiles due to the recent strong winds and also repairs to the flat roof above our porch. The quote was done within a couple of days of our first contact with the Company and the works carried out a few weeks later. The Hodgson team have just completed a full roof refurbishment of our 1930s semi-detached house, replacing all tiles, upgrading the rafter insulation and installing warm decks above all flat roofs. The team were professional and courteous from start to finish. Great communication, no surprises, and top-quality workmanship. Upon researching them further, we did not think that some of them would be around for the next 20 years to honour their guarantees. A surveyor friend recommended TCK (who have been around since 1969 and long may they prosper!) Thomas (one of many talented and charming brothers) came along and talked me thru possible problems and the need for insulation etc. I had skylights built in and we discussed changing them to triple glazed glass. Although their quote was dearer than the others, it was worth paying the premium. Chris (another brother)- relaxed and meticulous in managing his team, some who have been with TCK for over a decade supervised the work and got stuck in as well. His team were professional, hardworking and experienced. Health & Safety was prioritised with fire extinguishers placed by the bitumen boiler etc. The job wasn’t rushed, on site problems were pointed out & remedied including spotting a TV ariel that had caused a chimney to move!. Photographs were provided to document the work and Warranty certificates provided immediately after payment. So, refreshing to experience tradecraft and courtesy in this day & age. Our flat roof (large and quite complex), which was over 30 years old and had started to leak, was completely replaced by TCK using the original method of construction - liquid bitumen and 3 layers of felt, with a cover of limestone chippings. The work was carefully prepared and carried out over a 2 week period, and the end result is a very good job.
