Not only did he repair the roof, but he also fixed guttering issues and corrected some previous poor workmanship from another contractor. He is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and clearly an expert in his field. I was impressed by his availability and dedication to getting the job done right. Another roofing company that I normally use recommended Scott. Scott takes the time to explain how he will carry out the work. Sends pictures of the work he has done and how it will look when completed. He sent me pictures outlining with green lines and an explanation of how he will achieve the work. The work is very good, he is respectful and he walked through the property with his own shoe covers. I would recommend him, he is honest and he is very reliable. He has excellent time keeping and came 10 minutes early and was ready to start. There is nothing more I can say than really good.

Scott was very responsive to messages and came next day at the time he said he would to fix gutter end stop that had come off. Scott and his colleague took extra care to use ladder end protectors so not to damage house render when leaning the ladder against it. He also glued the end stop in place for extra security. I have used McDonald Roofing Contractors for three separate roofing jobs on a rather complicated roof - firstly replacing a box gutter and associated drainage, secondly replacing some lead work, and finally replacing half of the roof following my realisation that a previous roofer had only done half of the work paid for. Given all the cowboys out there it is reassuring to know a company who is professional, expert, tidy and efficient. I echo the praise of Kerry in the office, too! Delighted with the service and the end result.

A really good experience from start to finish. We had our flat roof replaced along with other repairs needed. There was excellent communication throughout the project from getting quotes right through to completion. We were promptly sent all the verified certificates. The team were hard working, polite and courteous and Andrew (project manager) is a true gentleman - a person with manners from a different era. I would highly recommend this roofing company for the quality of their work and for the excellent communication.

John and his team did a complete new roof for our listed house and we were thrilled and delighted by McDonalds’ professionalism, honesty, hard work and, we’d go so far as to say, artistry. It is an absolutely beautiful job which we are still standing and staring at in admiration three weeks after it was finished. John even took the time to come over in person and reassure an over-anxious neighbour who was concerned (without any justification) about how our new roof would affect theirs. Easy to contact, came when they said, charged exactly how much we agreed, 10/10. Also very polite and professional, and they clearly are very good at what they do. Our roof above the bay window was leaking, and the found some poor workmanship and weird solutions up there, which they undid and fixed properly. They also helped me with other issues on the other side of the house, and I felt like they went the extra mile to help me fix the issue as a whole. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Newman Roofing did a good job fixing ends maintaining our roofing needs. Like communicated with us effectively answering any questions we had regarding the work they were carrying out and advising us on appropriate measures to take when decisions needed to be made. They completed the work in a timely and efficient manner while making sure they cleaned up after themselves.

After torrential rain and wind, my roof sprung a series of significant leaks. Newman Roofing Services responded to my emergency with professionalism and efficiency. We had concerns concerning our roof and as Rob was finishing up replacing a neighbour’s roof we asked him to inspect ours. He came within a couple of hours and as he inspected the roof took a video to show us the problems. We needed a full roof replacement as it was at the end of its life and Rob gave us a good quote for the work.As the job was quite urgent he and his team started within a few days. The materials he used were of a very high standard and the bulk of the work done within a couple of days. Storm Eowyn halted work for a day but Rob still came to check that everything they’d done was ok and it certainly was! We are very happy with our new roof. Second time we have used this company. This time they fitted premium quality ventalation tiles (x8) onto our roof after suffering major condensation issues. These guys came out and gave us a quick quotation which was cheaper than I thought it would be. Booked us in quickly and came and done the job efficiently without hassle. I Called John to get a few repairs done to a slate roof and ridge tiles. John came over the same day and gave me a quote for the cost involved for the repairs. After giving the go ahead John and his team came around the next day and the job was complete in only a couple days.
