The empanadas are the perfect size and are always satisfyingly crunchy and generously filled with juicy, flavorful meat. I appreciate that they contain minimal potato, just the way I like them. The only empanadas worth paying for are the ones made at Lalo's! The service was fast and foh team were friendly, attentive and charismatic. All the food was cooked perfectly, and the meats were juicy, tender, and well seasoned.

Incredibly welcome atmosphere :) the place, externally, internally, the music, what an amazing vibe! Everything is so inviting!!! As soon as you start to talk with the staff you feel even happier, everyone is friendly! A big thanks to Sebastian who looked after us on Saturday night, such a kind person. The food was delicious, so authentic and tasty. The size of the dishes were generous. Our group had people from Brazil, Peru, Portugal, Ireland, England and we were all impressed with this place :) We are already planning a return trip! Thanks for a lovely night.

Delicious lunch! We absolutely loved having lunch at this restaurant. From starters, to mains and to desserts everything tasted really good and fresh. It’s an explosion of flavours very well combined. The drinks are also very nice and the desserts also delicious. Portions of the mains are huge, if we knew it before, we would probably have ordered only one main as it was too much food and we ended up bringing some of the meat home. The staff is very friendly, there’s lots of staff members, and the service is incredibly fast. I don’t remember of being served as fast as in this restaurant and the food arrived very fast too. The only negative side is that there are no updated information about this restaurant on google, they don’t have an website and the prices are very different then anything I’ve found online. The prices are a bit on the higher side, we’ve paid £84 pounds for 2 people. The only thing that I wasn’t very happy about it is that on the receipt it says “gratuity not included”, but they will add a 10% of the bill that they will write on the receipt. I didn’t feel that this is the way that should be done, because it should either be on the receipt or not there at all and the costumer would give whatever they feel that would be fair. You can see on the receipt how it looks like. The owner is very nice and kind, came to say goodbye at the door, we felt very welcome. We’ll certainly be back as we loved the experience.

What a great find , we were wandering through the market and found a space to sit here , the service was great staff so friendly, and helpful The food was amazing I had the ribs with Korean Sauce , the ribs were full of meat and the sauce just right , my wife had the BJ burger which was very moist and had lovely sauce and pickles My daughter had the crispy chicken which she said was lovely and crispy The whole meal came to £74 including drinks and service charge for 4 of us which we thought was very reasonable We would definitely return 😍

The food here is really nice. The place is located within Brixton Village, where you can eat in or alfresco. I'll definitely go here again. They also have two for one cocktails Sunday to Thursday aswell. The staff are very attentive. However, sometimes you may need to go looking for them as they are not always present.

Always a reliable brunch spot in Brixton Village. I’ve been twice and really enjoyed the food and coffee both times. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow but they’re always friendly. Plus, the BBQ looks delicious as well

We went twice, we like the classic breakfast and the salmon bread, we didn't like the avocado bread/seňor it was vinegary or sth about it just wasn't right. We appreciate good hot chocolate and very nice environment. Waiting time was long.

I could eat and drink in a different place here all week! I thoroughly recommend it. I've heard that it can get rammed on a Saturday, but it seems fine on a weekday. There are also market stalls here selling anything from vintage clothing to exotic spices.

A fun, super busy indoor market that has many small restaurants featuring various cuisines, including Japanese, Colombian, Thai, Caribbean etc. There are many small boutiques, butchers, coffee shops, fruit and vegetable stands. We had a great time. Had coffee and cookies at a Cafe and later on we had lunch at Santa Fe (Colombian restaurant). I had the fish soup and an empanadas. Both were delicious. My cousin had a lentil soup (very tasty).

I had the pleasure of going to Naughty Piglets during the summer In August when the wonderful talented previous Master Chef contestant Philippe Sunnoeo was doing a residency there. The menu was DIVINE, Top tier, rich, beautiful flavours, and this will always be experience when eating Chef Philippe Sonou’s food. I heard that he will be doing another residency with Naughty piglets this month and I can’t wait to see what he has on the menu. Philippe has a way of making food look so beautiful and taste absolutely deliscious. His food is always a work of art and a beautiful combination of african flavour with french technique. You must try his food!

Amazing atmosphere in a very cute and comfortable decorative wooden setting and books on a shelf. Divided into two areas, one near the kitchen and on the bar side very bright and welcoming, the other more private inside. Absolutely fantastic and well balanced dishes to share. Beautiful pasta! Great service and reasonably priced. We had the focaccia and the whipped ricotta to start which was delicious. They gave us some free fried pasta chips because the bread wasn't quite baked yet. I had the cacio e pepe main and it was delicious, super creamy. When the bill came they had given us the focaccia for free because of the wait, which wasnt necessary but very generous nonetheless! Great place will definitely be back.

Oh mamma! This was the most incredible Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. My friend and I went halvsies on the carbonara and the nduja mascarpone pastas, and they were both absolutely delicious. Very fresh, rich, heartwarming fare. We had some focaccia to start and it was still warm from the oven and deliciously soft and salty perfection. I didn’t think I had room for pudding but my friend wanted to try the tiramisú since this place is famous for it, and so of course I had to try some of hers - and ended up eating more than my half! It wasn’t too heavy, a perfect coffee and creamy ending to our meal. I’ll be back to La Nonna whenever I can’t make it back to my beloved Italy to try all their dishes. I understand there’s a bottomless pasta option which sounds ideal to try them all. It’s not a huge menu, but there’s something for everyone, and quality over quantity is the Italian way. I had such a great late lunch/early dinner at La Nonna today. Tried the pasta fritta (served with a delicious arrabbiata mayo dip), Focaccia Al Rosmarino and Ricotta, aglio selvatico e nocciole (Creamy whipped ricotta, wild garlicpesto, hazelnuts) Absolutely delicious antipasti! This was followed by the Agnolotti burrata e tartufo (Burrata and truffle filled pasta with jerusalem artichoke) which was also supremely tasty. Service was so friendly and helpful. Cute decor. Great value. I will be back!

Very nice place for food and drinks. The drinks are very nice. Food was great, large portion, juicy fried chicken, loved the pickles with it. I love the gravy, so delicious. Service was friendly and on top of it too. I have to deduct a star for price as it is quite expensive for fried chicken and chips, and also the lighting in there is way too dark for me. If you’re out drinking at a night music event sure, but during the day please make it a bit brighter in there. I found the darkness and dark booth decor to be a little oppressive.

Great place in the centre of Brixton. We were just walking around looking for a restaurant before a gig, we saw the menu and went inside. As soon we got inside we were welcomed by the most friendly staff I have ever experienced. Food was incredible, service was 10 out of 10. Klaudia who was person who look after us was very friendly and helpful. I could see how everyone was always walking with a smile. If you are planning to visit Brixton, you should definitely visit this place. I had the vegan burger and my mom had the chicken wings (best chicken wing she has ever tried, and she live in the USA lol)

Had a great Sunday lunch here at the weekend. First time visiting. Lovely interior and service was excellent. The roasts we had - Pork and Beef were excellent. Quality food and drink with happy and friendly service. Chicken Schnitzel is a real winner. Weekend brunch and Sunday Roasts are among the best around, as are the breakfasts, coffee, wine and cocktails. This is a real go to for us for any meal on any day. Service is included in the item prices so do not be misled by the face value which given the quality is all good.

Saw an article about this restaurant/cafe in a magazine and thought about visiting the place for brunch with friends. The place looks really lovely and they have both indoor and outdoor dining options. The service can improve a bit. I couldn’t even complete my order and the staff left in the middle, I had to call them again and even after calling them back and forth I still didn’t receive my drink apart from this the food was really nice and the banana bread is a must try. Overall it’s a nice place for brunch and they do have good food and drinks options on the menu.

Very cool place to go for a nice dinner. Small menu, but each dish was done really well. I had the king prawn linguine which was delicious! My partner has the schnitzel which was excellent. I might revise the number of stars when I go for a proper meal here next time as I only had cappuccino this morning. The venue was aesthetically pleasing with large bright windows. It’s not on the Main Street of Brixton so it was a great option to have coffee while escaping from the bustling of the area. Highly recommended.

Great Bottomless Brunch in Brixton!! Visited here on a Sunday with friends for their bottomless brunch which is £33 per person for unlimited Prosecco and any food you order you pay extra for. When you come here guys be ready to drink because they will keep the bottles flowing and it’s only value for money if you drink up!! You get a bottle of normal Prosecco and a bottle of rosé Prosecco, a bowl of rum punch and different cordials to mix with your Prosecco, which is a very nice touch. Every time you finish a bottle they will bring another bottle to your table. The rum punch was not strong and you barely taste the alcohol so we stuck to the Prosecco. The staff were really attentive and very friendly and helped create the vibe. We ordered pizza and a pasta dish which was very nice. Food tasted fresh and the pizzas really helped soak up the alcohol. The restaurant has an nice environment and a good vibe. Perfect spot to meet up with friends and have a good time.

My husband and I had dinner at Canova Hall. We are vegans and we appreciate that the vegan options are properly labeled on the menu. We had a portion of arancini to share. As for the mains, I had a gnocchi and he had the Vegan Viking pizza. Everything was really really good. Given the high quality of the food, I'd love to see more vegan options on the menu. With a larger variety, I would become a regular for sure. The service was excellent. Very kind staff, we felt welcome there. The venue is also nice.

I loved it. I came to Canova Hall for dinner on a Sunday night (to avoid the crowd, as it is often packed). The place is really beautiful. Charlie, the waitress, was friendly and competent. I had a delicious pizza and a donought as dessert. The prices are not low, but the quality of the service and food justified them in my opinion. I'll be back.
