The Bakery Restaurant and Rooms
Westmore Rd, Tatsfield, Westerham TN16 2AG, UK | Restaurant P: 01959 577605
Rating: 4.6 (257) Price Level:
We stayed here as a family weekend of 19/20 October. It seems there has been a change in ownership management recently and the new people are settling in. Rooms: first glance look great, but lots of little niggles which just needs looking into. Suspect they are problems which just didn't get dealt with by previous management. However, warm, cosy and comfortable. Food: we only had breakfast. First day was excellent. Great quick service and quality food. Second morning not so efficient. However, not fault of staff/owner. There was an absence in kitchen, so only one person for cooking and serving. People in our party offered help, and it was graciously accepted, turning a problem into an experience instead. A lot of people would turn down help out of 'ego', so accepting help is the mark of person without ego. Service: great customer service. From arrival, to adapting some room allocation, to breakfast the team were attentive, proactive, respectful, funny and kind. Overall, yep a few niggles but not all the fault of new owners. Yep, I'd go back.

Napoli E
18 Market Square, Westerham TN16 1AR, UK | Italian Restaurant P: 01959 561688
Rating: 4.7 (420) Price Level:
I’m a fussy, snob and I’m used to Michelin star restaurants, but my best friend introduced me to Napoli and this has got to be one of the best Italian restaurants around! The food is superb, the staff are brilliant, the atmosphere is fantastic! Everything is very well priced including the alcohol!! It would be very hard to find a better Italian restaurant! It’s no wonder they’ve been in business for such a long time! Keep up the amazing work guys and see you soon!
Rating: 5 / 5
This is a little gem. Staff are engaging and respectful. Food is wonderful. Basically if you want authentic Italian food in a relaxed and enchanting environment then look no further. Prices are absolutely spot on. Highly recommended.

What a fabulous restaurant! Cosy welcoming atmosphere, fantastic service from Matthew, truly wonderful food, great value. The Zucchine alle scapece is one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten. Ever. A delicious authentic Neapolitan specialty, do try it. I can’t recommend Napoli E highly enough, we’ll be back really soon.

A very charming relaxed place with a great host, and the food dishes we had were delicious! Portion sizes were American yet without failing in quality. Will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!

The Old Bank - Contemporary British Restaurant Westerham
8 Market Square, Westerham TN16 1AW, UK | Restaurant P: 01233 659890
Rating: 4.7 (158) Price Level:
We went for the first time and had the five course tasting lunch with wine flight. It was outstanding. Food was delicious and interesting. Wine was excellent - especially the champagne. Very friendly service and welcoming vibe. Toilets were pristine. It might seem expensive but for a special meal it is worth it.
Rating: 5 / 5
A first class fine dining experience. The front of house team are an absolute asset to the restaurant and the chef is incredibly talented. They were able to accommodate our pescatarian diet for the 8 course tasting menu with ease. A gem in the area. We will be back!
Rating: 4 / 5
We had the 8 course tasting menu and it was very enjoyable and there were some interesting dishes in there too. I think however that this restaurant is missing a star dish which will make the experience memorable for a long period of time.

This restaurant is settled in the heart of Westerham Town. I came for an evening meal, and the menu choices were tasting menus, either 5 or 8 courses. We decided on the 5 course. The food was fresh and original. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted equality delicious. This restaurant definitely serves a Michelin star 🌟 The restaurant was elegant and crisp looking. All the staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. This was a fine dining experience with class and reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend if you like the fine dining experience and I'd definitely return when back in the area.

Our absolute go to for a special occasion. We've been 5 times now and have yet to be disappointed. We still reference the Old Bank as our measure of a good meal/value when we're having a tasting menu elsewhere - especially the whipped chicken skin butter (haven't found anywhere that serves butter as delicious as this!). Love that the menu changes with the seasons. Can't wait to go back after Christmas.

Cattle & Cocktail
10 Station Rd W, Oxted RH8 9EP, UK | Steak House P: 01883 722377
Rating: 4.6 (497) Price Level:
What a great place. The decor is really Good and well set out. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place for a drink with some amazing cocktails. And good wine selection. The food was really good. I had seafood risotto and my wife the mushroom truffle risotto. Next time, I have to try the steaks. My daughter had kids' pasta, which was really tasty. You could easily spend a whole evening in this amazing venue.

Our first visit to the Cattle & Cocktail for a date night. We were met by the manager as we entered who showed us to our table. He was very welcoming and hospitable. Our waitress was over to us within a couple of minutes to take our drinks orders and we also ordered olives and halloumi bites with chili jam as an appertizer. When they were brought to us we ordered scallops and king prawns for starters and for the mains salmon and the large rib eye steak. The scallops and prawns were very tasty and well presented on the plates. The salmon was presented on a bed of mash potato served with fine green beans. The rib eye was a bit over done for me. I asked for medium rare and it came a touch over cooked. However the steak was well seasoned and a good size. The only other issue with the steak is that I had to order chips as a side to have with it. At £36 for a steak I would expect chips to come with it. I have had better steaks for less money when eating out. Looking at the red wine list, there are only certain wines that you can have a glass of. I wanted a glass of Argentinian Malbec but it was only served as a bottle. The total bill was just over £155 for 2 people with 3 cocktails and 2 Peronis so although this is a nice restaurant with lovely staff it is overpriced and expensive. Would I go back? I would for a special occassion but for a general eating out experience there are more reasonable priced restaurants around the area of Oxted.

Had the most lovely, tasty dinner here last night. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Very attentive staff, calm and peaceful atmosphere (seated to the front) will definitely be returning

Enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch here with my daughter today. The restaurant has a very stylish interior with comfortable seating and beautiful decor. It also boasts a lovely outdoor seating area for al fresco dining. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. The food was delicious, with interesting dishes and flavour combinations and all ingredients tasting extremely fresh. Excellent value for money and a very enjoyable lunch spent in very sumptuous surroundings. Thank you very much to Junior and his staff team…we will definitely return!

Me and my partner were recommended Cattle & Cocktails by a family friend. I can honestly say I’ve never had such a pleasant experience when going out for a meal. It was line and my partners 7 year anniversary - and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the occasion. We were here on a Wednesday so we could take advantage of the £20pp deal they had on, adding a bottle of wine to the meal. The steak frittes were fantastic, and the steak was cooked to perfection. One of the better meals I’ve had in a long time, and I won’t hesitate to come back or recommend to other friends and family.

The Flying Machine
79 Kings Rd, Biggin Hill, Westerham TN16 3XY, UK | Pub P: 01959 576348
Rating: 4.2 (42) Price Level:
It’s a nice little pub, but I guess they really only take to locals. I know I’m a loud person, as I am hard of hearing and also was in the military so we had to yell all the time, but I got tired of people trying to mess with me because I am American. I also didn’t appreciate people trying to fight me when all I wanted to do was have a good time. But oh well. I certainly don’t feel welcome and won’t be going back.

Such a lovely place! ♡ I'm new to the area and my son took me here to buy me a glass of wine as part of Mothers Day. The Landlord and Landlady were truly kind and welcoming and friendly ♡ I have bad arthritis in my joints so have mobility issues. My son said to me that he knew straight away that it was a nice place because as we approached the front door one of the customers inside took the time to walk over to the door to open it for us :) Lovely! ♡ My partner has since popped by with his youngest for a pint (him) / cola (son) and a packet of crisps (both) :) ♡ He said they had a good experience of this friendly place, too ♡ We need to get ourselves organised now and book a slot for us all to have a lovely chilled Sunday there with a delicious Sunday roast (one of the other customers when I was there told me they are good!). Mmmmmm...! ♡

This pub has a reputation of being trouble, but since the new management have taken over i have spent many a quiet trouble free evening in there. They are extremely dog friendly, the landlord / landlady made such a fuss of our girls

Rating: 4.3 (1036) Price Level:
We had a fantastic family meal at the Aperfield Inn in Biggin Hill! All of us went for the roasts, and they were spot-on—perfectly cooked meat, plenty of delicious vegetables, and great portions. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy quality family time. The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything came out just as we’d hoped. Definitely a spot we’d recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying Sunday roast!

We just had Sunday lunch at this pub and it was so lovely! All staff are on top of their game, informing us about everything, checking up on us, and answering any questions we had. Melody and Vic were serving us and we just so lovely! I also noticed at the start of our visit how lovely and on top of everything the manageress is. We had starters, mains, desserts and 2 bottles of wine. Very reasonable prices and all the dishes were absolutely stunning! For once we werent rushed at all between courses and were able to just relax and enjoy our afternoon.

We had an excellent Christmas lunch at the Aperfield! The food was perfect, everyone enjoyed their meals and there was a good selection for different dietary requirements. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Victoria who served us. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you to all of the lovely staff at the Landing. Alison especially is a legend & really helped us yesterday when we were running late for a wedding, thank you Alison!!! Nice food, decent wine list, comfy room & good shower!

This a very modern and smart hotel next to Biggin Hill airport. Quality restaurant. Serves formula 1 personnel and the private airport. Very quiet and good views of the plane movements. The afternoon cream tea was delicious.
Rating: 4 / 5
After a friend told me the food was good, I took my parents for afternoon tea. It’s good. What was EXCEPTIONAL was the gluten free afternoon tea. I eaten so much lacklustre gf food and this was as good as the best I’ve had to the point where my parents were a bit jealous of my scones. The atmosphere is really chill and it’s fun to sit opposite the runway. I imagine it will be fun in summer especially if there are planes buzzing around. The staff are also really friendly. My only thoughts were the service was a tiny bit slow, the tea was a bit weak (the cute little internal cage pots get cold quickly which you’re waiting for it to seep) and we could have done with tap water on the table (so much sugar) to make the service perfect. But so good I’ve already booked to go again with a friend and talking to more about it in the new year.

Came here for a birthday lunch, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the lunch special, lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked, alongside a potato cake and some lovely micro herbs. Wonderful food and even better service. Only downside is that we windows weren’t as big as we thought, so was often hard to see the planes flying off and landing.
