I’ve been there on the New Year’s party and the vibe was amazing! Really love the venue - you have a great view from there. The costumes and the dancers were stunning! Loved the DJ&sax combo, and the guy on the drums was super fun:) We also had a rooftop access to see the fireworks, and the service was top tier - soft throws, hot water bottles, hand warmers - as a girl wearing a dress during the wind I really appreciated it! 💕 And the bar staff did an amazing job to make sure everyone has champagne before the 12:00!!! There was also 2 free drinks and finger food available - food was amazing as always, love their restaurant as my go to. Thank you for an amazing night!

We had the pleasure of dining at JOIA, located on the 16th floor of the art’otel, London Battersea Power Station. The experience began with the stunning ground-floor art gallery lounge, which set the tone perfectly before we made our way up to the restaurant via the lift. The restaurant itself was cosy and intimate, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Battersea Power Station. The menu featured a delightful blend of Spanish and Portuguese flavours, complemented by an impressive wine list that included selections from some of our favourite wine towns in Portugal—a detail that truly made my evening. A special shoutout to our waiter, who, despite being new (only five days on the job!), was incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcome. The bar, located one floor below the restaurant, offered a more relaxed vibe with equally stunning views—perfect for a post-dinner drink. We’re already looking forward to coming back during the day to fully enjoy the views and perhaps try their afternoon tea. JOIA is a must-visit for anyone seeking great food, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional service!

Had a great time at NYE. The night was Studio 54 themed, and there were loads of cool dancers who did an amazing job at setting the tone and bringing the vibes. Their outfits were spot on! I was booked as a sax player, and greeted kindly by staff, all very professional and respectful. Everyone was beautifully dressed and had good vibes. I played alongside a live percussionist Jo Pierre who was absolutely amazing. Would entirely recommend coming here. Great views of London and a great interior design imo! Rooftop bar is a must. Atmosphere was nice & the food was good too. Definitely recommend the Mac & cheese, 4 of us went & 4 of us got it as a side, we had to take it to go as we were full up by the mains. My main was the mixed shish which was okay tbh. It was served with a lot of salad but not much rice. Dessert options could be expanded. I got the vanilla icecream which I really wouldn’t recommend, it was just so basic & tasted very cheap (the portion was big though!). The staff were really lovely though, smiley & very attentive. Towards the end, there were additional things added onto our tab which we never would’ve realised as we planned on splitting the bill until a friend decided to pay separately and it caught my eye. It would’ve been an additional £30 but the man at the front was very understanding. Overall, despite a few nags, I would come here w friends/as a work party. Also cute photo taking opportunities throughout the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for a birthday dinner. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They managed to accommodate even the late comers to the party. The decor is picturesque and the food is filling and tasty. Couldn’t fault my experience other than parking and that’s not the restaurants fault; just be mindful.

I visited this restaurant today for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely amazing! My parents had such a great time—they were singing and even dancing to the enjoyable music. The atmosphere was lively and so much fun, perfect for a celebration. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish exceeded our expectations. The restaurant also has plenty of space, which was great for accommodating our group. I’m already looking forward to coming back, not just for the food but for the wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend it!

Hubby and I visited this restaurant for lunch yesterday and we were not disappointed. Service was faultless, the food was delicious and the De Roya Punch cocktails were expertly made. We both had the cheese rolls to start followed by the crispy chicken burger. Everything was reasonably priced and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We shall definitely be back.

Amazing Italian restaurant - possibly the best we've been to. Highly recommend getting a few of the smaller sized pastas/risottos so you can try multiple. The pizzas are also incredible. Favourite dish was the duck risotto with orange sauce.

We went for a Sunday roast. Reasonable price and nice food. Chicken was a little dry but otherwise really nice food! Friendly staff for service as well.

We booked one of the private dining rooms for after our small wedding at the local register office. You want everything to go smoothly on your wedding day, and it certainly did. Great service, lovely food. And we were able to play our own music in the room. 10/10 we would recommend :)

I am completely blown away! 🤯 I have eaten at so many of the restaurants around London and Essex that I've lost count. There are generally some good options, some special treasures, but they all leave you wanting more. Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is the one. This is the place you've been looking for. Fancy a holiday in Turkey? Cancel it and come here instead. The level of attention to detail was incredible, the dishes constructed with absolute care, and the freshness... It was fresh alright 👌🏼 The staff were incredibly friendly, and very accommodating, and the chefs took every dish to the next level. I had to try it all, I need to come back again and again. If you're looking for something special, great value for money, and an absolutely incredible taste sensation, an explosion of flavour, a celebration of culture and cuisine, get down here immediately. This is as good as it gets, and it's bloody good at that.

Really good food, amazingly large portions and good value for money. Only negative is they are cash only but have no signage to let you know this when you go in and staff don’t tell you until it’s time to pay. They have a free ATM inside but not everyone wants to pay cash, especially for me this caused some hassle later as it was a business expense

Good service., didn’t expect this friendly behaviour from a bartender. Thanks to karthik , for explaining about the drought beers . Had a great time. Nice place to hangout and give a bang on weekend. Cocktails are good btw.

The live music was a nice touch on Friday evening, although was a bit too loud to have an easy conversation. The ambience and food was great and the staff were pleasant. You can scan a QR code at the table, which makes things easier if you’re sat upstairs.

On my first time ever in the UK I knew I needed to try a proper Sunday roast, but couldn’t find anywhere with space to sit. The Goat saved us - spots for all 10 of us, perfect atmosphere (not too loud to talk!) and a precious 5 roasts left!!! They were delicious and literally tasted home-cooked (plus the bite I had of my friend’s burger was maybe the best I’ve ever had??!) but the best thing was the service from Eunice and her coworker Karthik - they were so nice and even brought out some extra food from the chef. Genuinely 10/10 will be back on my next visit!!!!!

I like the atmosphere in this place and always go there when I'm passing through. I also go there especially for the good tilapia fish, it is excellently prepared. Although I am always the only German and white guest, I feel very comfortable and welcome. Recently my Romanian friend had it with me, she was also enthusiastic about the tilapia fish and the atmosphere. I will come back again and again....

Hands down my favourite Ghanaian restaurant in the UK! I have been going to Julienest for years and spent many special occasions here including the meal after my registry wedding. The food is authentic, consistently good flavours, always comes piping hot and comes out quickly (contrary to bad experiences I’ve had at other Ghanaian restaurants). I sometimes treat myself to a takeaway when I can’t be bothered to cook. My go-to’s are Waakye, Banku & Okro soup or Omotuo. Their Akonfem is lovely. Their kebab is also very tender and succulent, but quite spicy. The decor is very nice, Afrocentric and welcoming. They have good music (sometimes a DJ) and sometimes a live band on Fridays and Sundays. Can get very busy and crowded on Sundays.

First time eating Ghanaian food and it was a great experience! We ordered the jollof rice with chicken, nkatenkwan and palm wine. The staff was great and fellow patrons were super friendly too. When our food came the table beside us could see we were new to the cuisine and helped us out! Live music really added to the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely experience in Fiume last weekend! This restaurant is decorated very beautifully - like a modern fancy Italian restaurant by welcoming and attentive staffs servicing delicious Italian foods and drinks. The arancini we ordered here was even better than the one we had in Rome! We had Chianti (delicious red wine) and granita cocktails which were amazing! Lamb and steak were cooked perfectly and so so good. We'd like to visit here again with friends when it's sunny and warm as the terrace looked very comfortable with a nice view of London! We will be back!

King's lounge was absolutely fantastic. It's been a while I partied with Africans and it was so nice to see so many people turn up with Nigerian hits playing back to back. The DJ was great as well and they were a lot of foreigners dancing to our beats so that made my night. I'm definitely going back there soon again for an awesome night out. If you want to have a fun night out, visit King's Lounge.

This best pub in Barking with am African theme and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and willing to make you feel relaxed and welcomed. It's a large pub with outdoor area and hotel next door. It's set up like a sports bar with large screens on nearly every wall so you don't miss any action. I called.in on a Sunday afternoon when it was quiet but imagine this place.osnkicking in the evenings and weekend.

Great local food from Nigeria. Transforms into a party lounge later at night from 11pm. Good was authentic and fresh. Service is good. Reservations recommended. Budget is reasonable. Toilets were clean. ££
