A really great atmosphere for a small venue, good food, excellent service and reasonably priced.

Best place I've been for a very long time. Ally and Susan know how to entertain and Notty's has a really relaxed feel about it. Definitely would recommend for a quite night out or somewhere to start your night out π
Rating: 4 / 5
A great night out even for we oldies! Margarita perfectly made and chilled, great cheeseboard and Ploughmans, lovely salad garnishes, and delicious olives. The pate was dense and flavoursome on lightly dried and toasted bread. The downside was the avocado on toasted bread as it was only cut up not mashed and so constantly collapsed off the bread. Please 'Nottys' wholemeal and granary bread as options.

We had fresh bread, cheese and cold meats also beer and wine to wash it down. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, thank you.

A compact pub with no music/ tv sports or fruit machines. Just helpful and knowledgeable people who know about beer and wine and stock a wide variety and range. People actually sit around and talk to each other. Child and dog friendly.

Pleasant little cafe on the ground floor of the Eventus building, with its own separate entrance and exit. Popular with Eventus workers and local OAPs. Ready made sandwiches, crisps, soft drinks, coffees and teas are all available, as are hot meals like jacket potatoes with various toppings, omelettes and salads. All to eat in or take away.

Go there!

My little girl and I went for some lunch, they were so friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely especially the biscoff milkshake! The kids meal was great. Strongly recommend and go again

Amazing place. Loads of food/ drink choices and realistically priced. Greeted with friendly smiles and served promptly. I had a baked potato and it was the perfect temperature with mountains of filling. It was delicious. No need to eat later on in the day. If there is anything to mention... it's quite noisy inside when it's busy, perhaps if your hearing is compromised this may need to be considered. Will definitely revisit soon.

Christmas at Chesterβs After deciding to have a quiet Christmas this year; we looked around for somewhere to go for Christmas dinner. Having been to Chesterβs before; knowing the food and ambiance were great we decided that was the place for us. And we are so glad we did. Upon entering we sat on comfortable sofas and chairs and got to know some of our fellow dinners; we got acquainted over a glass of complimentary Bucks Fizz, sparking wine or orange juice. Christine took orders from an extensive menu. We were called through to the restaurant in groups; as our starters were ready; no-one had to wait long; and this staggered the meals which meant Christine and her husband (the chef) were relaxed and able to support and extend the great atmosphere that developed throughout the meal. The food was divine; the chef outdid himself; reaching standards of deliciousness he hasnβt reached before. The starter and main were interspersed with a delicious soup course, the main and dessert were separated with a pallet cleansing raspberry sorbet. The choice of desserts is made very difficult as they are all so delicious. All created by the chef himself. This made five courses; followed by coffee and mints; or if your more partial to tea as I am; they will make that as well. One of the nicest things about Chesterβs is that you are never rushed; the table is yours for as long as you want it. There were 16 of us for Christmas lunch and that is all there was ever going to be. No second sittings; and that has always been their policy. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience; and making our Christmas day so special. Su and Geoff Donley

Very good food and amazing staff. I left my Keys in the restaurant garden. It was a very hot day. We were the last to leave and the restaurant was about to close. We left but an hour later I realized I had mislaid my car keys ., the waitress/owner was out looking for me in the high street to return the Keys. Honestly who would do that on such a hot day at the end of a busy shift??? Well thank goodness she did . Thank you so much.

Turkish Grill & Pizza House

Rating: 4.8 (105) Price Level:
This was my first time trying this place and I must say it exceeded my expectations. I had heard great things about the food and it absolutely lived up to the recommendations. Ordering online was straightforward and I was able to select my preferred collection time, which was very convenient. The food itself was outstandingβfull of flavour and beautifully prepared. The wrap I ordered was filled with fresh, crisp salad, halloumi and mushrooms. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming when I collected. Iβm already looking forward to ordering againβthank you for a wonderful meal!

Tried today and I wasnβt disappointed. The owner asked if I had ever tried his food before and when I said no, he said that I was going to be impressed!! A bold statement bandied about by many establishments but in this case it was backed up with, as they say the proof is in the eating and boy you could taste the commitment and dedication to his craft with every bite. Soft juicy melt in the mouth chicken shish and lamb shish combo. With rice , salad and bread, more than enough for one hungry man and a joy to have on my plate. Boss man keep doing what you do, you are simply the best kebab shop in the deepings

We ordered a take away from the Turkish Grill last night as we'd heard that it was a really good take away. This was our first time ordering food from here. The food is just amazing, very decent quality food... The burgers, the chips, the pizzas even the salads are so delicious but the kebabs are definitely my top pick. Everything was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The Turkish Grill is the best kebab house we've ever been to and the food is far better than your average takeaway. I can specifically recommend the chicken shish and Doner combo kebab and the chicken burger. My partner also recommends the chicken shish and the 1/2 cheeseburger. The pizzas were also very good. I'd highly recommend the spicy beef pizza. The Turkish Grill is on a completely different level to your average takeaway. We really enjoyed the food and will definitely be visiting again soon.

What lovely staff in this little hidden gem of a place. Very clean, very friendly and most of all their food was delicious and the salad was so fresh.π We got given some Turkish tea while we waited for our food to be cooked. Can't wait to visit again.

Amazing place Very good food, so tasty. All our family enjoyed it. Unfortunately they forgot to put sauces and one portion of kebab (and I didnβt check it on collection). They are new there and it was very busy, I am pretty sure they will be great next time. Definitely will order again. Our portions were big (meat, salad, Turkish bread). Everything was fresh, delicious. Personal very friendly. Wish this business good luck! Will be back soon x

They have very Good Selection of Craft Beers and Speciality Drinks that are rare. I got myself a Pint and asked for a menu. I then went and sat down at a table. I gave the menu a very Good Peruse through it's Generous helping of Dishes. I chose the Chef's dish of the day.Beer Battered Cod & Chunky Chips and home made Tartare Sauce. The very Friendly Server came and took my order for my Food. I just relaxed with my Pint and waited. I did not have long to wait for my very Fine Fare. Maharanis Restaurant - Deeping St James
23 Bridge St, Deeping St James, Peterborough PE6 8HA, UK | Indian Restaurant P: 01778 341110
Rating: 4.5 (304) Price Level:
Food was excellent, service was very slow compared to the number of people in the restaurant, it took ages to be asked for a drink, I've given 4 stars because they didn't ask us to leave on closing time, my friend and I weren't busy chatting, if they had asked us it would have been 3 stars, although staff very nice. Atmosphere lovely but it was cold, so again only 4 stars ( it felt like a real wintery blast) and I stupidly forgot to take photos π©

I am positively surprised. The staff are very kind, well presented, and prepared to deliver the very best services. The location is also very good with a car park and a nice view of the river Welland. The venue was clean, tidy and spacious. Last but not least, the FOOD, it is worth every penny spent. Every dish did taste different, was full of flavour and colour. I can recommend Maharanis to everyone.

The Red Lion
48 King St, West Deeping, Peterborough PE6 9HP, UK | Pub P: 07421 977661
Rating: 4.6 (231) Price Level:
We wandered into the Red Lion after a wet and windy walk with the dog. The staff were so friendly and inviting, the atmosphere was warm and cosy - perfect for a relaxing autumnal lunch. They even had treats and blankets for our pooch! The food was really outstanding. If you're looking for recommendations from the set lunch menu, my partner thought the salmon tagliatelle was perfectly seasoned with the exact right amount of dill to balance the whole dish, and I had the sausage and new potatoes which truly warmed my cockles - so rich and comforting. A big shout out to the bread sticks with garlic butter too - so moreish!
Rating: 5 / 5
Everything about our visit today was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely amazing too. The Red Lion offers everything that you could hope for in a pub, even offering treats and fresh water, should you bring your dog. I canβt recommend it highly enough.

A lovely pub, only 5 minutes drive from Market Deeping. Lovely warm fire on the go, large bar area serving great selection of beers and lagers. Good choice of wine and spirits. We went on Sunday and had a lovely roast dinner, beef and port, accompanied with veg, roasties and Yorkshire pudding. Good choice of puddings, tarts and coffee. Defo recommend, we will be back.

Excellent food, really good service Beautiful pub inside and out, lovely beer garden so relax and eat in. It's a lovely spot for Sunday lunch but looks like they have lots on during the week like steak night - will definitely be back. Really like that you can see their vegetable garden as well. Lovely little dog station with water and blankets.

Decent little pub. Visited the place for the office Christmas meal . Had the misfortune of visiting on the very day their heating was down. The staff tried to fix it by ensuring all the electric heaters were turned on. Unfortunately it was still cold. The food was freshly prepared and brought out on time. Friendly and courteous staff made the experience enjoyable. I'm the wrong person to be judging/evaluating traditional food. But I'll give it a go. Starter- chicken and pheasant terrine. The flavours worked well and the crispy toasted (muffins?) were good. Mains- slow cooked beef. I'm told by my friends that it was done very well and they enjoyed it. Dessert- kumquat Christmas pudding - absolutely delicious and a decent sized portion for those who love their desserts. Have a look at the pictures for reference. I plan on coming in another time to try out their normal venue. I'm sure with heating on, the ambience of the pub would be lovely. They have a few seats beside the fireplace and ona wintry day that would the best spot in the pub!
