The food at Wild Heart is always fabulous, but today they have surpassed themselves. It was the first time I noticed the home made almond croissants. It was utterly perfect, surpassing even the Waitrose hand crafted almond croissant - and that really is saying something. Well done Simon.

Visiting for the first time with my elderly mother. Really enjoyed a flavourful home made soup of the day and a freshly made cheese scone. Would highly recommend, friendly service and atmosphere. Great value for money. Returned on my own with my dog a week later and had a warm welcome beautiful quiche with very good homemade coleslaw (and water bowl for Frankie) ! I had to sit outside, as no dogs allowed in cafe but still worth it. Staff couldn’t be better very caring and friendly.

My brother introduced me to Café 35 as it is his favourite café in Bourne. I really appreciated their vegan options. They have recently had a new serving counter installed, see my photos. Quirky decor.

I'm going to be honest , it's a quaint little cafe . But when I first looked at the menu and the prices . I thought my god this food better be worth the prices . And all I can say is it deffinately was . Fresh cut bread choice of white brown or granary. Beautiful bacon , and lovely sausage. Pricey but worth it . And the staff are nice and friendly.

Absolutely 💯 gem of a place. Ideally located in town centre, superb selection of beers, wines etc. Fabulous outside seating out back! Undercover and warm. Really great decor, atmosphere and definitely well worth a visit! Lovely friendly staff, too. Clean, fresh, and well-equipped toilets with huge proper mirror for checking the outfit, etc😊

Newton’s Wine and Tapas Bar is an absolute treat! This family-run gem knows how to deliver. We kicked things off with calamari that was perfectly crispy and tender, and the ribs… wow! They genuinely fell off the bone and were smothered in the most incredible secret recipe sauce—pure magic on a plate. The service was spot on—friendly, attentive, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The atmosphere? Cosy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening. If you’re after exceptional food with a personal touch, Newton’s is the place to be. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I visited here a couple of weeks ago, and I've made a point of actually remembering to leave a review because we both agreed that this is easily one of the best places to eat locally! The couple who run the restaurant and kitchen could not have been more helpful, and the service was first rate! We happened to go on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was pretty quiet (we were told that Friday's and Saturday's are much busier, but we both felt that people are clearly missing out, and I would recommend going on a Thursday if you can). As to the food, everything we ate was seasoned, flavoured and cooked to perfection. You can also tell that it's freshly prepared from scratch, and with really good ingredients. We've been to a fair few tapas/mezze restaurants, and this one is easily top three of those we've been to! Many thanks to the lovely couple who both served us and cooked the food - we will definitely be going back.

Brilliant experience. Not my first time here but first time for food. The welcome on arrival was warm, covid safe and made us feel very comfortable . Very clean establishment with friendly staff and absolutely wonderful food! We got plenty and deserts and I couldn’t fault any of it. If I had to find a fault I’d have to try very hard and say a wobbly table leg but the gentlemen spotted it wobble at the same time as we did and corrected it simultaneously so there goes my only fault being a fault as it was corrected to fast 😉 keep up the good work and we will be seeing you soon! Thank you for a wonderful service and the fabulous food!

Bourne Grill House is a fantastic addition to the local food scene! We tried the lamb and chicken kofte as well as the lamb and chicken shish, and wow—what a treat! The flavours were absolutely spot on, and the bread and rice were the perfect complement—fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. This is real food, not the processed stuff you get elsewhere. Everything seemed homemade, and the quality shone through in every bite. If you’re looking for amazing flavours and top-notch service, this place is the new gem in Bourne. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

I had heard good things about this place but was cautiously optimistic when ordering. Delighted to say it was the best lamb kebab I’ve EVER eaten. And I their baklava was just dreamy. The owner came and chatted while the food was being cooked and was reassuring about how cold it felt inside the takeaway (heating is apparently being sorted). There was a small wait for the food due to how busy it is but it was clearly fresh and well worth it. Looking forward to my next visit 😍

They actually serve food, not processed gut crunching rubbish. Much of it seemed homemade and everything I had was delicious. Best takeaway in Bourne by a country mile - I'd recommend to anyone considering and would go again.

The best pub in Bourne. I'm new to the area and I've explored all the town pubs. This is a proper English pub. Very down to Earth. Quaint old building. Beer garden by the river. Love it.

A wonderful pub with terrific ales and a selection of lagers for those who like that sort of thing. Lovely terrace overlooking the Eau which is a great place to sit in good weather. Live music on occasions and a real fire during the colder months. Live sport on TV in the Public Bar. Only opens at lunchtime at the weekend, otherwise its 15:00 hrs until late. No food but who needs it when the beer is this good? Friendly landlord and staff.

Interesting and affordable experience. So you'll get a starter and main for 22£, which I consider is more than reasonable for a Michelin guide restaurant. The cuisine is close to Italian (plenty of vegetables, prosciutto, pizza, pasta, tiramisu). The pizza was one of the best that I ever tried. The service was prompt and helpful. Will go back for sure in the future.

Lovely meal with locally sourced produce and wine in a cosy country pub. We had the rotisserie chicken and the duck and both were very tasty, made with high quality ingredients, followed by dessert that was a very generous portion! Food came really quickly. Rose wine from the local Mallard point vineyard in the neighbouring village of Essendine was really fruity. Will come back again and bring family

Table of 8 for birthday meal on a busy NYE. Excellent food, excellent service!

We ordered a takeaway for 10 people via email as we were entertaining guests including vegetarians and food allergies. We were amazed at how many different dishes were available to fit our various requirements. The food was hot and ready to collect on time. We were so impressed with the quality of each and every dish, so far to say everyone said “one of the best Chinese meals they have ever had”. The standard and quality of service at The China Hand is superb. We love this place, just wish it was closer!

After spending time in Italy eating and touring it’s sometimes difficult to find decent Italian restaurants reasonably priced in the UK. I found it in this place !! Reasonably priced good food. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. You can’t ask for more! If your local I’m envious that you have this place on tap as a regular eatery. I will be returning for sure. If for no other reason than the Tiramisu which was to die for .

Really nice Italian restaurant with very friendly waitresses, clean and very traditional. The food was amazing, both went for the spicy pollo dishes which were nice, I had the potatoes and my work mate had the fries and I added roasted veg which was lovely. Both had garlic cheese bread and left feeling full and happy I really like his place and will definitely return when working in the area again.

Amazing Italian food! 🍕🍝 First time trying Il Mulino for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were lovely and it was a very nice atmosphere. We had two starters including Bruschetta and a mushroom dish (see the cheese pull), both delicious. Then had the spaghetti carbonara and a ham & mushroom pizza. The pizza was massive so had half of it left to go in a takeaway box! Would definitely recommend to everyone as it gives the Italian chain restaurants a run for their money! Fantastic will be back soon 😁

First visit here for my wife's birthday and we would happily return. Biggest plusses were the food and service. Salami/cheese platter for starters was outstanding. Quality and quantity. Then the pizza main was excellent. Slightly thinner crust than I was expecting but was perfect for me. Only minor drawback was that it didn't "feel" Italian. All English accents and sparse Italian paraphernalia. Staff were very attentive and friendly though. Very happy with our visit.

Right so, this place. We thought, let’s stop for lunch, we were tired, hungry and it was basically just another boring Wednesday. But oh no, we walk in that place and it was PACKED! The lady said there might be a wait for food. We said ok no worries, ordered our drinks, looked around and as you can see it’s very nice there and after about fifteen minutes, we were shown our table, everyone else was served lots and lots of lovely food. We were getting ravenous and somewhat snappy with one another. The food arrived after 40mins and it was very much well worth the wait. Highly recommended x

I took my 5 year old after school for dinner on a weekday. My little one loved the Halloween decorations! I had the scampi which was plenty, very filling. There was a great selection of children's food too! We them had the fruit crumble with custard for desert, homemade and warming, we loved it! The staff we very welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean. Lots of parking and easy to access from the main road. Overall a lovely dinner and experience. The sweets on the bill tray were a nice little extra. Will definitely come again!
